There must be a word for over the top webforum sanctimoniousness. Delldays doesn't peddle out the usual platitudes and is now a "psychopath" and gets lectures about hypothetical soldiers... Come on then. You people who, like, really care about Gazza. Come on Barney Trubble. Great lecture earlier but what are you doing about him or for him? Let us know. Actual, tangible stuff please. Luckily you've had the whole weekend to take action, so there must be loads you've done by now.

But what a goal it was.

There's trolling and there's trolling but this is exceptional. Well done.

Saint Or Sinner Nicola Cortese Drives Southampton On

I would like to take this joyous moment to point out that Nicola Cortese is still a total bellend. That is all. -
Well, we aint going down. Brilliant.
-
I'd happily take a draw now. Still a bonus point.

He didn't bring him in to keep us up. He brought him in to take us into the top six, as Trousers well knows. Not sure why our forum chum is already thinking about his relegation excuses. Staying up is a given. Its all about whether we make fourth next season or we have to reluctantly accept slumming it in the Europa. -

You don't need to read a blue whale to know it is gigantic, and that you are stultifying tedious. Don't flatter yourself. -

You have difficulty typing more than one without driving us all into an involuntary coma. -
Stop worrying bedwetters. West Ham are being dragged into it and are as good as down. And Norwich. And Fulham. And all those other teams with more points than us.
-
The wind ups are the ones saying we're nailed on to finish twelfth.

Err. I think Nigel Adkins is the Lawrie Mac in this story. Only a Lawrie Mac sacked a few months after we went up. The "stick with the manager" cliches really don't apply to us anymore. -

Nice try. We make a change and it results in relegation, that shows it was the wrong decision. Speculating about Adkins is simply that and thus meaningless. You can only assess decisions made, not ones not made. I thought you "understood the vision" better than this? -
I bet he would. Sacking him when we did was stupid, but sacking him after seven games would have been equally harsh and premature, and plenty of pundits would have said so. Oh, and Kev's name was in the papers yesterday. As a British football legend commemorated on a stamp. Good job he's doing interviews about massive old Saints to keep up his meagre profile. Fck me.

It is pretty rare for a Prem manager to speak through an interpreter. It's a legitimate area of discussion.
-
Which you've just made for the first time. So not sure why you need the sarky capital letters. Well done though.

Yes, and our last 15 results is around 1.3 points per game, not the European form needed to generate a further 20 points from now. And my point around the last three games is that spirited performances/didn't we do well against the big teams don't actually equate to many points. We were doing "didn't we do well against the big team but never mind" in August. Thanks for making my point for me.
-
Good for us. Both of those stats are nearer to 1.3 points a game. ie not European form. Last three games 0.6 points per game.
-
Correct. And we are simply not going to win all our crunch games either - the QPRs Readings etc. We're going to lose some. We just will. Think we'll stay up and finish bottom five. Which is fine.
-
Was it? Didn't JJ stay at Pompey of his own accord? And the Harry/Jordan relationship wasn't "a thing" back then. He had Jim and Bond. So I think this is hindsight rather than a mistake Lowe made.
-
20 more points from 13 remaining games is European form. Good luck with that.
-
Obviously not. Nice try.
-
TDD seems to be mixing up "favourite" with "greatest ever". Bless him.

I know loads of Reading fans who would definitely go to the Madjeski now, but most think they probably wouldn't get a ticket so don't bother trying. A 38,000 seater stadium would see them flooding in. But only at £12 a seat though. Well, they might pay £18 for a really good spot.

Straight out of the Cult of Cortese myth manual. It's like the club is being run by L Ron Hubbard.
