It's interesting that some have said that pardew might not still be in the job if it wasn't for the cup run.....is this really the case? IMO the cup final is just a bonus,pardew has done reasonably well,better than I expected tbh,ok he should be doing better with the quality of players he has at his disposal but you can see that good times are just around the corner. Is it really the case that the JPT has deflected the threat of the axe away from pardew? Would the fans be on his back if it wasn't for the final?,but more importantly would NC be looking for a replacement if it wasn't for the final?

I did hear from a source at the echo that he wasn't first choice but the rumour was already underway on here by then. I might be wrong but wasn't there a thread on here back in the summer about there being some sort of connection between ML and pardews wife? Or did I imagine that? Perhaps pardew was ML's choice but not NC's and perhaps pardew and NC are not best of friends because of that?....who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

Getting rid of pardew now would be madness....and that's coming from somebody whos not really a fan of his but perhaps it has to do with pardew not being their first choice candidate as rumoured on here back in the summer???

it seems the administrator is no stranger to football clubs,he oversaw 2 spells if administration at Swindon.

We should be able to handle a crap pitch,a lot of our players have been knocking around the the lower leagues for years where crap pitches are as common as Ashley coles bits of fluff on the side.

I think there will be immense pressure to succeed next season with or without us fans.....I should imagine NC & ML will be a tad miffed.

I'm not a stalker and I don't want his exact address printed but I just wondered if he had moved to the area? I know in the past that some managers havnt moved locally,burley and hoddle for example but I prefer that a manager lives in the community so that they can get a realistic,first hand feel for the mood of the fanbase (positive and negative).

Storrie mentions other clubs like Chelsea etc being in debt but the difference is Chelsea,Manu,Liverpool etc are worldwide brands unlike Pompey who are not even attractive to their own hometown inhabitants .

A few years ago I had to put a high fence around an office block which was situated in the middle of a piece if land owned by somebody else,the people in the office were using the land to park their cars,the land owner offered to sell them the land but they refused so the land owner completly ringed the building with a fence preventing the office owners from getting access. This went on for a few weeks until the office owners gave in and bought the strip of land. My questions are,does gaydamaks land completley encircle the fratton dump,and would/could he hold the skates to ransom by denying any access to the ground?

How can the premier league advance the parachute payment to Pompey? It isn't yet written in stone that they will get relegated? Ok they are 99% relegated but they could perform a miracle and get out of trouble....then what? Although there are clubs that are prepared to cut Pompey a bit of slack and allow a loan to go through (probably the clubs who are also close to going bust) I doubt very much the prudent clubs would agree to it.....why should they,they have run a tight ship and managed to stay solvent so why allow a club that has basically cheated get into more debt? That's like telling a drugged up athlete to carry on taking enhancment drugs.
