  1. I heard about Dave a couple of days ago. I'd been good mates with him for a few years. Talk about a shock. RIP mate.
  2. Pretty much, although some apps won't work as they need the phone/gps parts of the iPhone. Everything else is exactly the same.
  3. But it'll do whatever you tell it to. And be thankful for it.
  4. You could just download Gimp, which does everything Photoshop does, but is totally free. http://www.gimp.org/
  5. Suicide, it seems. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4118525.Park_bench_shooting_man_named/
  6. Well, this is a bit erm, different. To say the least. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/features/living/4115640.Men_who_want_to_be_babies/  Edit - Obviously the title should be as, not us. Whoops.
  7. That's the only thing I can think of. But if they are both on your home network, they should see each other anyway.
  8. It's up now (well part of it, at least). http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4114732.Saints_stars_at_centre_of_bust_up_claim/
  9. Same here. Although I think the soon to be released N97 should be an interesting bit of kit. Comes out in March I think.
  10. I'd imagine to that if he was to falsely suggest such information in the chairman's notes in the company's accounts, it would be a fairly serious affair. Hence, I doubt very much that Lowe is actually "misleading" anyone in that instance - especially seeing as this is not a fact Crouch or anyone has denied. If it was a lie and I was Crouch, I certainly would.
  11. A copper who I know - and has worked in Southampton and other large cities - said there was no question that a bad result/bad spell for a team is linked to a rise in domestic violence. People don't look for excuses to hit their partners - they just do it when they're in that sort of mood, to take out their own 'problems' on them. A poorly performing football team is just another thing to put them in that sort of violent mood where they don't mind slapping their 'loved' one about.
  12. I saw this last night. It wasn't 'just' a fan, but one of the owners of a franchise (New England, I think). While I think it's a great way to ensure that a competition remains just that (except the lack of relegation/promotion) the chances of football adopting such policies must be a hair's breadth above zero.
  13. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4096456.Massive_snowball_fight_planned_for_city_centre/ I'm working, but everyone who has managed to wrangle a day off work/school, this could be a bit of a laugh.
  14. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/search/4073636.Baby_joy_for_Saints_star/ Like everyone above has said, it's for Surman.

    Big Screens

The one above the Northam Stand was working, although there were a few glitches.
  16. £6m was an out of this world deal for Jones when we sold him, and I remember it reported that because the fee was so big there were no other clauses to it.
  17. Bigger version of the video: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/video/video/68972/
  18. So, where exactly has this suggestion of being banned come from, other than a huge leap to a random conclusion?
  19. I feel sorry for him to be honest.
  20. I pop on it every now and then to see if there is anything new or decent on it. Have seen the Red Bull thing but didn't manage to get a go on it. I'll just wait and see, I guess. It's still in open beta, right? I don't think I've seen anything saying it's been officially launched.
  21. That's £200k x 2, as he got another £200k at the start of this season... The mind boggles.
  22. Snipe at and abuse me all you want and carry on your bickering if you choose. I haven't said you start these things, but you are certainly a major contributor - just look as this thread. In fact I haven't referred to you directly at all, other than to quote you. I haven't insulted you or said anything mildly derogatory, yet you feel the need to throw insults in my direction. Why is that, exactly? I genuinely wonder how old you are. At a guess, I'd say about 17. IMO, it's your need and desire to have the last say (regardless of the subject) that draws these things out. It's the Internet, and it's a discussion about computer games. Do you really get as het up as your posts suggest you do? Thankfully, I believe we still have the option of an ignore list on these forums, and believe you me, I'm about to make use of it so I don't have to endure any more of these infantile, drawn out diatribes - regardless of who it is. Just before I click that button though, this did raise a chuckle: Go away, have a look in the mirror and think about it for a minute.
  23. Well he was the Finance Director at the time, so it's hardly surprising he's saying that.
  24. Like Rob says, I'd like to be able to discuss the actual basis of the threads rather than the childlike rows they always degenerate into. Hence why I avoid any thread about the latest sales figures or whatever, as I simply don't care. I just want to see what people are saying about games I might buy. I've got better things to do with my time trawl through these endless arguments about consoles. If you enjoy these discussions, then don't inflict them on the rest of us who don't care. Start up your own threads so those of us who aren't interested don't get saddled with them.
  25. Hell, I would. I'll offer £100 to see my name in lights over St Mary's.
