Guess what I’m trying to say is a defensive midfielder like him doesn’t really win or lose you games by himself .. he could play a very good game make tackles .. be press resistant not give the ball away .. but it’s not making much of a difference on the result .. if you had to chose between him and ward prowse .. not looking at in a who we could sell for most money but who would actually have more of a affect on results who would you choose ?

Maybe a bit controversial but I think lavia was a bit of a luxury player for us last season . Sure he looked quality and has a ton of good aspects to his game .. but did he really affect games ? suppose this could be a harsh view for a dm but his contribution wasn’t really changing results for us .. ward prowse a lot more key in actually affecting results

Yeah.. still see many here claiming he’s gonna be great this season or will definitely come good. Based on what exactly ? Hologram man has hardly put in any good performances all season looks even worse then Gunn so far ..why can’t we just buy a normal experienced keeper they are not expensive anyway ?

Hehe funny how you crucify diallo’s passing but love che can’t finish for toffee adams ., not saying diallo is great or anything but he could at least get us up the pitch with pace in a box to box way .. we didn’t really have anyone else with that attribute

I didn’t mind him as much as a lot in here.probably due to the fact he had a a bit of a engine and could drive and carry the ball up the pitch ..I do think that’s something we lacked a lot at times.. never really got going here but offered something a little differant as a squad player

I’m with you .. nothing good about him whatsoever wasted all our work in January for him to just ignore practically all of the January signings bar Alcaraz .. we needed wins and his team selections were disgusting .. just brought back all the players that were proven not to be good enough in a super conservative shit version of Ralph style.. no fresh ideas whatsoever

The fanbase tend to judge players being shit on next to nothing these days .. Orsic and onuachu written off as dogshit even though both barely featured., edozie only really got starts under jones .. Mara not many either .. I find it hard to criticise any of them as their chances have just been sooo limited… im pretty sure if edozie had played as many minutes as elyounouusi though he would have been more of a threat ..also very possible if mara had adams minutes he could have scored more goals not being selected doesn’t make a player a shit player… it’s not like we really saw any of the above including edozie messing things up or being totally crap ., the managers just for whatever reason just decided to stick with proven shit like moi or preferred adams impact on games to trying strikers that could potentially be more clinical

Still wondering if we go back in for delap now. whilst he didn’t really do much on his loans last season he was one of the highest rated city youngsters even more then Lavia and has all the physical attributes .. could be an interesting one now his value should of dropped right down from what I read on the stoke forum their creativity was non existent and he wasn’t getting chances (sound familiar ?)

He was mainly coming off the bench under Ralph and selles froze him out..not sure why you’re expecting him to dominate matches as a sub? He’s a promising looking kid who didn’t feature that much because the managers prefer the proven shitness of elyounoussi . Says more about Ralph and selles then it does him

I don’t think edozie was crap .. looks a good dribbler and would have much preferred to give him game time then moi.. jones was the only one who seemed to play him a lot though and selles froze him out completely .. personally I think he will be a big player for us this season

Ok imiginsry scenario if city came to us now saying they really would like Lavia back and made us a promise to activate the buy back what would you do then ? we would get the same money 40m in our pocket as if we sold to Liverpool or whoever now for 50 plus get to keep him for a season ?

Another factor is next year city could buy him back for 40 m right. assuming they would want to take this option selling for anything less then 50m now equates to less then if we waited for city as they get 20 percent of the sale anyway selling for 50 this season equals the same .. would seem silly to take less for him just to appease the player

At the same time why should we sell for less just cause he wants to go ?? his value is only gonna increase and like you say if it was another club selling him they would ask for more

Based on what ? Bazunu hardly had a good game and is usually like having a hologram in goal everything seems to go streight through him .. mccarthy at least had one season where he was player of the season or close to (long time ago now ) but I can’t see why anyone would think bazunu is better on last seasons showing .. I really don’t get our obsession with these young keepers it’s not a expensive position to recruit and would be a lot better off just digging out some experienced keeper like boruc was then to keep messing around with these bazunu and Gunn types .. the last young keeper we had that was any good was probably tim flowers lol

There is a bit of truth in the last part..I agree he does fanny about too much he’s a decent enough full back but with how we play him and the amount of the ball he gets creativity wise he’s been very poor last season.. I think a lot of that is due to all the twisting and turning and hanging on to the ball too long .. no one has a clue when or if he’s gonna release the ball or where it’s going ., he’s a bit like the full back version of fabrice Fernandes or asprilla.. can only put it down to this why his assists are so low when he has so much of the ball his teammates just can’t read him

Add sulemana to that list .. these are the must keeps imo id be over the moon with a strike force of tella Mara Sulemana. Alcaraz this is championship porn attack and zero point in not keeping it. make the sales from others but these stay

I think if I were him the free kick record would probably be the biggest draw in returning to the prem a chance to put yourself in the record books and be a talking point for the next ten years or more

Exactly this .. seing pictures with him and Martin with the tags our boss and our captain is making me think hmm maybe ..if the club know he’s going there’s no point causing disappointment. but trying to think from his perspective if he leaves he gets premiership football but he will be having to sacrifice being the poster boy and main man. I’m starting to now wonder maybe he will stay, some of our media stuff like pictures with Martin with (our captain) getting the hopes up maybe. But unless he gets a really top offer he might be better staying here., no other club will treat him as the poster boy like we do, he’s probably not gonna make England team either.. is it worth leaving the god like status he will have if he stays for some mediocre prem club ? if he was to join a West Ham and it doesn’t work out his career could drop of pretty fast .. not the easiest decision

Think we need to put our foot down somewhere along the line .. make a plan who we actually are happy to sell and who we want to stay .. not just everyone can leave if it’s a option. players like Alcaraz and sulemana especially have only just got here .. and should be giving us at least one full season ., im sure if we say how ambitious we are and tell them they are a key part in us getting promoted first time they will get their heads down
