I think we should give Jones a chance with the 3412 if that’s what he wants to use. It’s a formation he used a lot at Luton so I’m up for letting him play this if it’s his way .. I actually think this formation is absolutely tailor made for Stuart Armstrong as a central playmaker/10 like absolutely ideal for him.. he good carrying the ball forward pretty intelligent And can also make late runs into the box and has a shot on him… so if we gonna roll with this formation Armstrong could really benefit

He said something along the lines of how quick we make our transfers could depend on how fast Newcastle make theirs as we have strong interest in a couple of theirs.. im guessing wood and fraser.. for me I guess wood could be ok probably better then what we have but not that likely to turn into a world beater .. id probably rather we go for vitinha or someone like that, reminds me more of ramos higher ceiling then wood potentially..

With pilchards seeming itk with the nj appointment wood seems a likely target.. also a player that has scored double digits every year for Burnley in a team that didn’t create a lot Is probably also the kind of metric sports republic could like .. how would you guys feel about this ?

I wasn’t talking about if the players are successful or failures, but surely you can see the difference in spending power and ambition.clubs we used to be on a par with or above like West Ham, Leicester, villa etc. are purchasing players over double the price of our record signings.. we have stood still on what we spend since we got promoted whilst a lot of other teams in the league have moved way past that now the gulf is growing between us and the midtable clubs so much our best players could be going to them in the future.. it’s sticking your head In the sand to think we are competing with these clubs ambition wise or are spending like a midtable club.

Mid table clubs like West Ham are spending 45m upwards on players like Paquetá.. we are still shopping in the same price range we was when we first got promoted.. all our buys 10-15m kinda range. I don’t think it’s midtable budget really we just a bought a bunch of cheap players with not many outgoing when saints and West Ham got promoted we were probably not too far away from them with the level of players we would go for but the divide between mid table clubs and us is starting to get quite large now ..

Feel a bit meh on sports republic really so far. What we have here feels like a slight upgrade on gao which isn’t really what is needed.. what we needed was a owner that could be ambitious enough to compete with mid table ish clubs like West Ham villa maybe Leicester etc..still feels like we are trying to compete on a shoestring and I don’t think this multi club idea is going to be anything comparable to redbull.. don’t wanna sound entitled but unless your owners are willing to compete with the mid table sides financially I don’t see much more joy then we had with gao tbh

Sure if it comes off he gets full credit .. I like Rasmus and was extremely taken by how switched on he looks. It’s about the only thing giving me hope. That it’s supposed to be his choice

I actually can’t believe the risk Ankerson is taking here,, not only is he gambling with the future of the club and our premiership status by choosing Jones, his reputation is now totally on the line by choosing a manager NOBODY wanted.. even if we went down with a popular choice I could see a bit of forgiveness but if this don’t come off Rasmus probably goes from hero to absolute villain very fast .. good luck with your decision

The only thing giving me a small piece of hope is that it’s supposed to be Ankersson behind this move for Jones.Rasmus seems a very clever switched on guy so if this is his man he must really see something in him., that said we really don’t need to be trying to be clever and unearthing some diamond in the rough here.. there’s no reason we couldn’t get a gaillardo or knutsen type that would come here with a lot more pedigree

It wouldn’t be mad really . Even if he gets Burnley promoted he will be fighting relegation with them next season anyway.. we are a bigger club then Burnley with better players and a division higher and could pay him more and they are not certain promotion yet.. lol and your the one that kept suggesting poch.. if we can’t attract a Burnley manager from the championship good luck with him 😅

I dunno joining us would still be a big upwards move for him.. he gets to jump to being a premiership manager without having to finish the job at Burnley- championship a tough league it could still go wrong .. we could pay him more money .. and he gets to work with higher quality players like ABK lavia etc, atm he’s using players like tella on loan don’t see much downside in moving for him bar missing out a promotion with Burnley for his cv

How about Vincent Kompany?? doing a superb job with Burnley got a cheaply assembled squad playing great stuff.. sonething about him always looked the type to be a good manager .. type of manager that commands respect of the young players by his own achievements and be great for them to learn from him (especially the ex city players ) kinda expecting to get replies of why would he join us.. well we are already premiership and they are not promoted yet .. could pay him more money , historicity we are bigger then Burnley anyway.. chance to work with a some great talents like lavia and ABK.., why not ?

Ii don’t understand the stick he is taking ?? he has barely had a chance.. is he the one missing sitters like che? It’s not easy for attacking player like him to get five minutes here ten minutes there usually subbed on at a time the other team has the lead so the defense is even tighter.. not sure what you expect in so little time .. The little flashes we saw from him.. like that superb through ball.. he finished that offside goal very well and there was great shot on the turn in one game.. in these little glimpses his shooting technique looked a mile better then che and AA.. Ralph doesn’t seem to trust him for some reason but I don’t trust Ralph .. think him and edozie are probably both better then the players starting

Adams just needs so many chances to actually find the net.. was a brilliant bit of play by arribo to put him in. loving lyanco lately that’s one positive he’s just class great on the ball too to go with his passion and commitment

It’s you on the crazy juice if you think moi carries a decent level of threat.. he’s been starting most games and that one assist vs arsenal is his only key contribution.. and what about all times he’s to slow in body and mind and screws up decent opportunities or just does his usual ghost mode where you hardly notice he’s playing… as I said when edozie comes on even for ten minutes he makes a bigger impression then moi does in 80 minutes or more most of the time.. Sure elyounoussi had a couple of key moments against arsenal but as a creative force he is still piss poor also not really suggesting we play lyanco there.. but since Ralph only gives a shit a about off the ball anyway even with his tens. Why do u think edozie offers no protection? Is it because he’s actually beating players,advancing with the ball and making things happen?? The guy is doing more in ten minutes then the starters do for the whole game maybe I’m old fashioned but I want our number tens to be our creative players .
