Mais bien sur.. (Can't be orsed to put the circumflex on).. Actually not a bad way to get round the swear filter, as if I ever would.. **** or ****ard, p*t**n, etc.

Merci bien.

I would never use a statement by BJ in support of any argument I had, the blustering fool.

Or somebody insisting on money up front, having previously been burnt?

Chhers. Is that 17.30 local or English time, for the benefit of us lazy ones on here. Ta.

There was a good and lengthy article in The Guardian or Observer about the cover up, and the whole affair was frankly disgusting, and the outrage of the fans, particularly with the so-called newspaper (the Sun), was quite justifiable. But their reputation is universal with every club's fans, not just Southampton. In 1990 at the world cup there were loads of bags piled up at the station in Cagliari, and much thieving went on. Whether it was or wasn't the scousers is perhaps not the point, but that's the word that went round and found ready credence. Do some of them really still sing about Munich, as mentioned on here? I don't watch games not involving Saints so wouldn't have a clue.

Cheers! You've saved me an internet search, if I could have been aersed.. Is that alcoholic drinks, will they have anything I'm likely to have pre-match? Will it be cask-conditioned? No reply necessary!

A good sport to do that and he seems very relaxed.

Incidentally, the League cup would now appear to be called the Carabao cup. Presumably the sponsors wanted to raise their profile, which they obviously need to do as I have no idea what or who they are.

Got mine this morning. My single largest credit card bill item of the year...

What are the charges secured on? How do you ensure that future income streams are tapped into? More importantly will the trust have remembered?! When Rupert Lowe was in charge Swindon were delighted and surprised by a cheque from us, unprompted, after Theo Walcott had a certain number of appearances (ISTR). That mind-set doesn't exist at Portsmouth.

Hmm. I hate once again to compare with that club down the road, but I'm sure they could sell the club at a profit if they weren't being careful about who was buying it.. I'm more in tune with this quote and what followed it:

Yeah, but Pompey won a cup! ;-)

Don't worry. I qualify for a senior railcard and cheap away tickets at Huddersfield and I don't either.. I do have memories of players being older than me, but now they're a bit like police officers or doctors; worryingly young!
-
Yep, that rings a bell. So eddie's got no excuse. ;-) Wouldn't mind a bit of Dolin myself, ages since I've had a bottle.
-
Thanks. I suppose St Etienne is rathert too far to go for a friendly, but if you do look forward to a report. :-)
-
Thanks for that. I'll have to wait until the 3rd August but I'm eligible for discounted tickets. Three more pints then!

Cedric Soares - Official: Loaned to Arsenal

I suspect he hasn't. I'm not surprised you have, though. -
So Moneyfields or Bartons Road (H&W) are beginning to look like alternatives with comparable capacity?

I've a friend in the hills, a bit of trout fishing, staying with other friends too and hope to make a holiday of it. I went there in L1 and enjoyed the station pubs and a food festival in the square. Great day apart from the 3-1 loss...

It's that language you use to disasociate yourself from something.. "Mum, the bathroom window has been broken".. I've seen no direct quotes from VvD, no statements from Liverpool, none from Southampton saying "I broke the bathroom window". I shall ignore the social media sheet-stirring, particularly coming from Liverpool, and if something happens it happens. Life's too short..

Our half-witted fans don't know how lucky they are

I think we're in about the right place. Gradually the infrastructure has been improved, and I feel it's a bit like having a mortgage; the debt goes down and the equity goes up and you can start feeling more confident about spending. What can we achieve? Can we 'do a Leicester', who knows. When you see the actions of some of the big clubs (e.g. Chelsea) it does seem that certain signings are not so much for players for your team but to deny them to others. Perhaps a bit more awareness on the part of players not to look at short term gain might help, but that's a very optimistic hope, although Romeu and Bertrand are good examples to point out to others. -
Including international managers, it would appear. They should listen to us and drop him..

My GF helped him out with a domestic issue (she happened to be working nearby), and said he didn't appear to be very switched on. A bit like his positional play really..

H? Lazy bu&&er! :-)
