  1. I dreamt last night that he scored a goal, low into the left hand corner.. I suppose it might have been Wanyama, it wasn't very high definition.
  2. Didn't seem to be much advantage being _under_ the stand!
  3. As I was saying... Thanks Alpine, for giving such an early bit of evidence as to what you think of people with different opinions to yourself. You're never content to disagree... you have to "deride". You're not alone, unfortunately. I have no problems with people with different opinions, but I never disparage people with such opinions, but I do object to the way people express them and denigrate others at the same time. Mind you, you aren't unique * * *** and ******* are incapable of expressing their opinions without a sneer or heavy sarcasm. It really is most juvenile and extremely wearing.
  4. Hah! I was talking about your vocabulary. "Deride" - a really unnecessary attitude in terms of a board like this and different opinions therein. Besides, we all know your opinion of the player and your juvenile nickname for him. The whole point is that I don't whinge and your normal criticism of the optimists like me is 'happy-clappy' and other such c**p. I may be older than you but I bet I'm a lot fitter.
  5. I don't think many on here ever thought there was any doubt as to which verb you'd choose, nor which emotion.
  6. Will they take the full allocation this time? Perhaps someone should suggest it: ages since I've watched a match in The Smoke.
  7. It's the processional march tune from Aida, but sung at a faster pace: here 20 seconds in.

PS: Thanks Hatch! Just had to go to the loo to avoid wetting myself. Talking of which: do you have to hold your cheeks out of the way when you go for a ****?

how does it feel knowing that both Portsmouth and Southampton fans unite in thinking you are a ****?
  10. It's on the box a lot more now we're in the Prem. Wander down to a local pub and save £35 + £5+ transport/programme/whatever. Plus people haven't mentioned that inflation is high (10% fuel bills?), wage increases low or non-existant, and if not unemployed for many it is at best part time/zero hours contracts.
  11. Wasn't that a bit distorted by the 6 we let in at Arsenal? Either way, even from the first game 3-2 defeat at Citeh you could see we could play some decent football and had some good players. They haven't shown any sign of that.
  12. Melanie Honnor's teeth are too big for her head..
  13. Happened on Sunday to my team; we lasted 3 minutes in a grey out and couldn't see a thing. That was on public pitches in a local park though, not the pitch of a professional team who not so long ago were in the top division.
  14. Wycombe with 56% possession.
  15. According to The Guardian text commentary .. :-)
  16. In the post-match interview MP grinned and said they should be credited 50/50, but I suspect they'd both get a goal bonus!
  17. Didier Deschamps is a connard..
  18. The positive media is worrying, isn't it? I don't know, so want the win, but in true experienced Saints fan style expecting the worst and the crushing disappointment. I'd certainly take the draw..
  19. I had new meters put in in August and a week later PV solar panels. Getting the last of summer/autumn I've so far used 18 units (m3? )of gas and 182 units of electricity, which works out at 2.56 a day I'm actually buying. Everything else I use I generate myself, so have adjusted my usage to when most power is being produced plus I have a little gadget which diverts surplus power to the immersion heater. Production will obviously decline considerably with the length of days and lower sun, but it will still be helpful: indeed over the winter I'll be exporting very little.
  20. Isn't that be a question a Pompey fan should be asking, or are they all going 'nah, nah, nah, I can't hear you'? Anyway, definitely worth nutjob points..
  21. Or get a grip and then slap it hard.
  22. Anywhere in the PO area? As it's ManU there might be a chance.. :-)
  23. I can help on the skiing and Chianti (indeed most Italian wines..) but Horton Heath remains a mystery to me..
  24. They say that in Elizabethan England they were in a more or less constant tipsy state due to all the small beer they drank - the water being so dodgy. The words flowed from Shakespeare's pen in an alcohol induced haze. I'll have some of whatever Rallyboy is using!:-)
  25. He may read the game better but then he plays a hospital pass or gives the ball away. I think we are all frustrated because we can see his talent but he's just not doing it at the moment. He's actually a decent tackler as well when he puts his mind to it. I'm not sure it's because he doesn't fit MP's style: MP is not Ian Branfoot FFS. But anyone who has played football at _any_ level will know that the more you put in the more you get out. Hopefully the extra training sessions will help and we'll end up seeing Gaston on the OS training gallery pictures looking happy and involved. At the moment the fact that Guly is head of him is a mite worrying...
