It's called the Potsmouth Dockyard League - or at least it was when a friend of mine played for the office team. Works and pub teams mostly, I think.

Rickie Lambert: Manchester City goal "best feeling of my career"'
suewhistle replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
No, he comes on here, worse luck. -
You need to be female to appreciate longer term or multiple pleasures..:-) Bit like Pompey really, although how much pleasure they've received from their frequent and recurring violent shaftings I've yet to determine. Ther's certainly been no love or tenderness involved, and it appears to be a monetary transaction every time...

Yep, but Coventry's ground is not a slum...

Went to La Thuile today and there was fresh powder on the Italian side, but I kept on going over to La Rosiere in France as I'd had a glance at the webcams last night. WOW! Think a guy on the lift said they'd had metres (plural) but it was superb. Light and so easy to ski off-piste, blue skies, and reasonable avalanche danger too. My smiling muscles were given a big work-out by my massive grin and my legs felt it too as I just didn't stop: nearly caught an edge on the way home due to tiredness and the strangeness of being on piste!

I did a private English lesson today when the said same f word came up following a question from the student. Quick as a flash I showed her this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCJK_yDAeOM My lessons are entertaining and enlightening, but not as much as this *u**ing amazing thread. (I did another lesson later on collocations..).

Not long in from footie training and tonight I decided to dash home and have a bath instead of a shower at the ground. the bath has now cooled down considerably as I've had 3 pages to read all at one sitting. This is superb entertainment!

I've had a good day, skiing with a friend on fresh snow and a good gossip into the bargain, earnt a bit of money this evening doing an evening class, home for a glass of red and some Gorgonzola and to cap it all off just settled down to the thread for some genuine laughs. I'm beginning to understand why my aged mum follows a soap on TV, but the plot and writing is nowhere as good as this one! They'd certainly never get away with it as fiction, besides, how would they classify it? Drama, historical, crime, fantasy or science fiction... or perhaps it's black comedy or, my final choice, a farce.

Easy mistake to make, as they've all been asked to bring their boots (and a £10 match fee).

Quite. I personally don't see myself living long enough to see a 58k stadium, but CBFry (and a few others maybe) definitely won't. He'll have had an apopalectic, frothing at the mouth fit when the first cranes move in. His last words probably: "utterly ridiculous"....

B***dy time consuming!

One Of The First Things Ever Taught To Young Footballers

That's what I thought at the time. He was going with him and then decided he could get to the ball first but misjudged the flight. Whether as a forward or as a defender I've always tried to attack the ball in the box. It was a superb header though, and we were unlucky to concede. -
Off skiing so I'll read it later. I'm sure some nutjob has saved it!:-)) Edit: still there 30 secs ago 8.34 mt time...

Half Saints Half Wigan scarfs? (and a bit of Man u review!!)

Is he wearing a red and white stripy jumper? -
I'm afraid the TV game over here on Saturday is Newcastle -Chelsea and I very much doubt that any bars bother to stream anything. Still, you never know, maybe even a bar with very fast internet, wi-fi and your tablet... http://www.yelp.com/search?cflt=sportsbars&find_loc=Roma%2C+Lazio

Wow. One quick post as there is the annual festa here in town: I missed the first half and now off out again until the early hours, but from what I saw from 65 minutes on... giving Manchester United a real squeaky bum time. What happened to Punch and Gaston? Fox played solidly from what I saw. One of the more positive defeats I can remember, and if we continue to play like that and add a bit of penetration to our possession.. well, I'll be a happy bunny.

When I looked just now County had 64% of the possession..

Who we've been linked with for January thread...

Calciomercato yesterday were still musing on the possibility of Zarate from Lazio: there have been a few issues between club and player and "given these suppositions a transfer of Zarate to Southampton doesn't seem impossible'. Hmm, 2+2=5, I feel. Not impossible but... -
Yes, I understand fillets would be useless...

I did like the "Kanu lift" bit! Incidentally, Steve Grant, I've paid my subs, can you update my membership. Wouldn't want to only have three posts if it started to get interesting again.

No, it b***dy won't be. Stop trying to make strawman arguments just so that you can fulminate against them. Of course they have to investigate, a man has died. Prossibly a very stupid and desperate one, possibly a nasty piece of work, but I'm prepared to wait for the investigation. I'd still be prepared to grab somebody's leg or arm if it had happened to me, and all bets would be off if I were in a rape situation.

It's all 'Arry's plan to concentrate on the league, and make a bit with a bet on the side...

I remember Townsend engineered a move from us by deliberately playing sh*te, after we'd lifted him out of non-league at Weymouth. Don't watch much TV but you're right, it's never mentioned.
