  1. Stop tempting fate, guys!
  2. BBC gives Saints as 63% possession.
  3. Yep, I'm off to do some music practice and ignore my filthy kitchen...
  4. Don't think you've grasped how our justice system works.. I can see us getting quite a few, or losing 1-0.
  5. No, there's a few of us...
  6. no, I'm shy
  7. ..um, no match thread?
  8. You forgot 'Still getting massive crowds in the championship', so obviously a lot rosier than you make out. Oh. PS: PES, we aren't bleating, we're just chuckling to ourselves in fascinated amazement. The bleating, from what I've seen, comes from the Portsmouth message boards...
  9. That genuinely made me laugh out loud. Weston has given a summary why..
  10. So as an example, headline from today's guardian "Manchester United have posted record losses of £83.6m despite a group operating profit of £100.8m". In that one statement you can see why their fans don't like the Glazers, but also why Pompey are a completely different kettle of fish..
  11. Can you think of another theory??:-)
  12. Jeez, poor Stockport must be desperate. Presumably he comes pretty cheap...
  13. Hope to help. Just off to play footie, or at least warm the bench and enjoy the view in the changing rooms. Give my love to Turkish!
  14. I don't think you understand jokes...
  15. I went last season.:-( Mind you, I had to get the train to and from the local friends I was staying with and I can heartily recommend the station pub.:-)
  16. How many books have been published about Bournemouth? I'll lay you a Duncan, a Dave Bull, a Dave Juson, a Gary Chalk etc. (apologies, mind's gone a blank) that what's been published about Southampton far outstrips any for Bournemouth and reflects our long history and the deep involvement of our fans through thick and thin. Bloomin' eck, we've got a whole publishing imprint dedicated to Saints books. Plus an ex Southampton footballer started organised football in Brazil...
  17. Deppo, that's naughty...
  18. I'm with this. An article quoting Rooney said more or less the same in yesterday's Guardian: play yourself to form. My signing on came through yesterday and I came off the bench today. Made space but then missed an open goal, had so much time but I'm just worried about performing and hit it over the bar... so I can empathise with RL.
  19. Krill speak, is that what they speak in Whales??
  20. Yah gotta keep your sense of humour: and that round here is appreciated. i reckon we'll all help Portsmouth afc an'all...
  21. Hear, hear. Whichever the mod...
  22. and some of us are Thorens women...
  23. Well, I suggest that you volunteer for the London Olympics so that all those foreigners can understand that we too, in the UK, have peasants who have never left their village and have attitudes to match, and furthermore don't understand the international recognised symbols for toilets and bars. (Although how you are expected to help fairly aware foreign visitors escapes me..)..
  24. Indeed! I was playing off the bench for my local women's side in Italy today (6-1 to us, and I missed an open goal....). Chatting to the captain on the bench and. like most Italians, she was amazed at our 26k crowd for a third division team...
  25. Really? heh, heh, I've been out playing footie for my local women's team and obviously this was the first site I checked when I got home. Ooff for a snicker...
