Why, are we nasty to him like making him train hard or suggesting that, perhaps, it might be better if he didn't smoke?
-
Just watched the video; to use an old cliché, "knows where the goal is". Bit like a Charlie Austin with running. :-)
-
Just had a quick perusal of the Italian press and no mention I could find. Quoted price seems low for the English market but..

Ladies loos? They were pretty grim when I last went there for a women's international. Mind you, they were at The Dell, back in the day. it was pretty desperate if you were a beer drinker like me!
-
Well, he's got a bit of common sense at least. :-)
-
I would suspect that's the most likely scenario, and gives the outgoing staff the opportunity to look around for opportunities beforehand. I know there are a lot of whispers around here about Watson not being much good, and subjective comments about what he's done to some of our keepers (!) but do we have any objective evidence? Presumably keepers we have recruited from elsewhere must have an opinion, just like Ings had an opinion on our early season training after arriving from Liverpool..
-
Aargh, did you have to mention him? Another out on loan with no solution in sight, at least Boufal will be worth a look..
-
Maybe that's when Ralph will offer ius a free beer again! #optimistic

Yep, I was impressed with that jacket he was wearing too! I wonder if he needs an EFL teacher who can head and kick a ball? Can't control it very well mind. :-) Let's hope he continues to improve as he seems to have done over the last couple of years and like Redmond has done. Having more pace in the side to stretch defences can only be a good thing. Where does that leave Obafemi; having to work hard to get back in the team after his injury?

Because they'd actually play? As we have seen, a decent run in any side helps players. There would, I very imagine, be less competition in a Southampton side. Or they could go to Chelsea and be one of the 40 players they have loaned out..

Delph in the side..

Thanks, I hadn't seen the news and went and saw an article in The Guardian. He seemed to be doing things the right way; learning his managerial trade and working up the leagues. What a great shame.

Guys might not be interested in women's football, but they always seem to be happy to make the effort to tell you that they're not interested and how bad it is. If you know the posters on this board it was easy enough to predict some of the responders/responses. JBS, my late gran played a little bit for the Fulwood Barracks office team in 1916, although she soon gave up as she didn't like the early morning training. Her comment on ****, Kerr Ladies was "they looked ever so well dressed and posh [munition workers well relatively well paid] but then they'd open their mouths"!
-
I don't watch much football apart from Saints but was aware Delph doesn't play much; you're opinion seemed to be the general consensus in the pub last night. Presumably he's in their squad as one of the token Englishmen?
-
Yep, a fair assessment Shandy. JWP and Redmond must be pleased not to have been too closely associated with that shower of ****e. No doubt a few footballers on this board who have had to pay subs to play on a Sunday whether Southampton Commercial, Portsmouth Dockyard League, Meon Valley or whatever, but you'd all be absolutely embarrassed to concede goals like tonight: completely avoidable with a bit of common-sense and awareness. Laughter in the pub tonight, happy from a Dutch guy and cynical from the rest of us.They get paid for that!

I'm sure Manchester United could offer more money, but can we offer a better manager and more development?
-
No, I'm sure you wouldn't want us to think that. Why not link to The Echo, so we can read the full article?
-
I saw a report from a Belgian coach the other day (was it Proud'Homme?) who acknowledged the above (and it was a thought that occurred to me too) but said he was still developing. Not the finished article would be a fair summary, but as we can't afford them this guy looks like a player we can develop and he's certainly got the pace we need.

Nah, that was his decoy lookalike..

I bet you said that about Carillo too, and probably Brexit. :-)

LOL. Had a phone call from my GF and employee in her van. Much laughter as she'd booked a job in Southsea today and was on the way in on the motorway. Plain clothes polices cars everywhere on the motorway route in. Fortunately she has parking on the job and it should be over before the main crush. Much as I'd like to pay my respects to the veterans I don't want to grace TCWTT with my presence.

You forgot Gilchrist.

My GF, who is interested in all things helicopters, saw a formation of helicopters a few days ago which she thought was on a bearing for S.A. and identified some as US types. Lee-on-Solent is a pain to get to and lots of pinch points, Southsea is just too built up if anything happens. I can see why they might choose Soton, but they always have decoys anyway..

What sort of comments and where from? Has he been sulking a la VvD?
