  1. Big weekend in the Prem. I'll be surprised if we get much out of Chelsea, they're pretty ruthless when they're on it, but then we've been surprised a few times recently. Sat 30th: Sunderland vs Man Utd (12:45) Arsenal vs Reading Man City vs Newcastle Southampton vs Chelsea Swansea vs Tottenham West Ham vs West Brom Wigan vs Norwich Everton vs Stoke (17:30) Sun 31st: Villa vs Liverpool (13:30) Mon 1st: Fulham vs QPR (20:00) We can realistically expect defeats for Sunderland, Reading, ourselves, probably Newcastle, hopefully Villa and QPR. Wigan vs Norwich is tough to call. I'd bet on a draw if I had to call it but a Norwich win would be useful. We could really do with Liverpool pulling their finger out on Sunday, don't want Villa getting any momentum. And while they're in bad shape anyway, anything but a win for QPR will all but finish them.
  2. I agree, but I still think it's a shame he's not going somewhere better. And someone we don't have to play in a couple of weeks.
  3. Because they're not a fantastic football club, they don't belong in the PL, they don't have a fantastic, loyal set of fans. As a whole, their support is plastic to the core. Reading is their 'second team' but as they're in the Prem they'll sell some tickets. Much cheaper and more convenient than a trip to the Emirates or Stamford bridge. No real history or passion there, and although he'll have some resources, it's sad that NA isn't going to a club where the fans share his passion for it.
  4. Look forward to hearing NA lie through his teeth in the presser - "fantastic football club, belongs in the premier league, amazing loyal fanbase....etc". FFS, what a shame for Nigel.
  5. 1-1 Arsenal 0-0 Everton 3-1 City 3-1 Liverpool Nothing to fear from the big sides at SMS this season. Get in their faces again and we can cause problems if they're not on their best game.
  6. He can do so much better than Reading.

  8. My Norwich supporting friends sent me this from their seats. Seemed pretty full.
  9. Yo mama's so fat, she's got smaller fat people orbiting around her.
  10. I think you should have a serious word with yourself and be less reckless in future!
  11. Matthew Le Tissier??
  12. If QPR fail to win at Villa, and other teams in the bottom few pick up points at the weekend, people will be saying they've got no chance again. Villa seem to be doing a bit better and will put up more of a fight than Sunderland (and ourselves, annoyingly). A draw would be perfect as it's no good for QPR and would keep Villa below us. Wigan have a tough home game against Newcastle who are on the up, but I fancy Sunderland to pick up at least a point at home against Norwich. United should smash Reading without too much bother. I guess Fergie will be fuming and demanding a response. I don't think we'll get anything against Liverpool, but I also think the other results will mean not a lot changes over the weekend, just 1 less game for the sides trying to catch us.
  13. Steven Davis vs City for a start.
  14. 18. QPR 19. Wigan 20. Reading Not very creative, but looking at the fixtures, that's how I see it. I can see Sunderland getting sucked right into it, but I don't see the bottom sides making up enough points to catch them. I think 15th-17th will be Villa, Saints and Sunderland in no particular order, and not ahead of 18th by much.
  15. Really should've won that yesterday and things would have been looking ok. I think Sunderland could get dragged into it, not in good form at all and got a fairly tough run in. We need to surprise either Chelsea or Liverpool and really find some form in the games after that. Need to start converting some of these chances.
  16. I'd drop Gaston, far too much showboating and plain refuses to play the easy ball. We ballsed up so many opportunities to counter in the second half yesterday by not playing the simple out ball to the right man. -------------Boruc Clyne - Fonte - Yoshi - Shaw --------Cork ---- Morgan Lallana ---- Davis ---- Rodriguez ------------Lambert Davis will offer so much more defensively than Ramirez, and is much better at keeping possession and finding a man wearing the same coloured shirt. Lallana will start ahead of Puncheon, although I really can't see what Puncheon has done to be so out of the picture. JWP coming on was a strange one yesterday, we could've done with punch running at them for the last 15 yesterday.
  17. Nervous about this one. Lose and we'll be right in the sh*t with Villa, Reading and QPR having good chances to pick up points, and 2 tough home fixtures coming up. Norwich are a decent side at home and hard to beat. They never seem to be out of a game, and with our habit of conceding at bad times, I don't think we'll have enough to win there. Score draw at best IMO. I also think Villa will win at Reading, and QPR to take at least a point from Sunderland at home. I think we'll be in a position where we'll really need at least a win out of Liverpool or Chelsea at home. I just hope we can find the sort of performances we were getting used to before the Newcastle game.
  18. The Compleat Angler is convenient in the middle of town and often used by away fans. Opposite the train station, on the river.
  19. If we do a decent enough job in midfield, they shouldn't cause is too many problems down the flanks anyway. 3-1 Saints again. Cork to score in the 90 will make me happy, it's about time he did FFS.
  20. Probably living/based in Aberdeen, working offshore or abroad. Currently living in Peterhead but it's a ****hole and far too small a place to be happy to live in. Plan is to chase the big bucks for a few years while I'm in my 20's, buy my first house by the end of next year and make the most of the gas & oil money while I'm young, free and single. I didn't realise just how good the money and opportunities are in that part of the world til I moved up there a few weeks ago. Just a shame it's 600 miles from home.
  21. It's unlikely, but I'd love it if we absolutely humiliated them today. Swansea took them apart recently, we've probably got more firepower than them when we're on it. 4-1 anyone?
  22. That goal COMPLETELY changed the game, and set us on the way with that 2nd half of the season.
  23. F*cking top news.
  24. Surprised Punch has been dropped. That's a strong bench.
  25. On the subject, does anyone know of any pubs close to Liverpool Street or around Hackney/Shoreditch/Bethnal Green that might have a choice of games on next weekend? I'm in London for the weekend and would be good to catch the QPR game. I suppose it'll be on somewhere around Shepherds Bush or White City but that's a bit of a trek when we're staying in East London.
