This for me. Such a massive shame to willingly dismantle such a promising team. Still, it wouldn't be Saints without a relegation battle every other season.
-
Snowball effect. Lallana, Shaw, Morgan, Lovren and anybody else capable of playing in the top 8 or so will surely want a move now.
-
£74m I think. A.Madrid's is £54m. Shambles.

I'm looking forward to QPR's transfer activity this summer. Bet they get into the top 3-4 in the highest wage bill table. Chris Samba sort of deals all over the place. C*nts.

Sunderland fielded ineligible player against us at SMS

I'm all for Sunderland being relegated. Here's hoping the other clubs at the bottom try to make something of this, and quickly. -
Guly to seal it IMO

Gutted, that could've been a great chance for an upset on another day. My heart sank when I saw Boruc was out though. - stupid that someone as incapable as Gazzaniga was our best option in this day and age (although I suspect Cropper would be a better shout. Or Guly) - stupid kick-out from Fonte. If he doesn't swing his leg like that, Dzeko probably gets booked for diving. - unbelievable that the officials miss an offside as obvious as that. - Chambers caught out of position too many times today. - Yaya Toure is a disgrace sometimes. Diving, cheating, whinging. He's world class on his day but is a right c*nt when things aren't going his way. Cork & Schneiderlin kept him quiet again.

Some pretty poor challenges from Newcastle in the 2nd half. It'll be hard for Woy to leave any of our lads at home if they keep this up for the rest of the season.
-
F*ck me, Michael Owen is boring.

Good luck with Paris pancake. I'm also running my first marathon in April, was lucky enough to get a spot in the London Marathon. I'm really looking forward to it but this weather is really getting on my wick. Training isn't so much fun in the wind and rain. Anyway, if any of you generous lot fancy checking out my fundraising page it's uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JackHarris1 I'm raising money for the MS Society and Smile4Wessex (Wessex Neurological Centre), both are very worthy charities and ones that mean a lot to me personally.

That looks pretty nasty. I guess it could be Yoshida and Hooiveld Saturday then, Fonte and Lovren back in for West Ham

Been spoiled this season. I've only managed to get to 4 aways, but 3 of them were great results. Went to Norwich, Man Utd, Cardiff and Fulham. A great performance and late equaliser at Old Trafford as two 3-0 hammerings is far better than I'd have expected from that lot.

If Clyne could get more of his crosses past the first defender, I'd pick him. Think his crossing has been poor lately. It definitely seems like it's CCs place to hold on to at the moment, it's a good challenge for Clyne and a great problem for the manager to have.

Boruc Chambers Fonte Yoshi Shaw Cork Schneiderlin Davis Lallana Rodriguez Gallagher Davis, Clyne, Jos, JWP, Wanyama, Guly, Lambert 0-2

Get at them early and I don't think they'll have much of a response. We've been far too good for better teams than them this season
-
Did the club ever say 100%? I don't think so. Sure it was 50%, which we're heading nicely towards.
-
I called a 0-0 in the Villa game before it started! Got a 4 fold on tonight - Draw, Chelsea, City, Sunderland. Not looking bad so far but all of them could go either way.
-
I'm confident about this one, and looking forward to it. Should be a decent turnout from our lot with most of the neutral seats sold quickly, presumably to Saints fans.

Anyone else think Cortese believes in this project too much just to walk away like this? There's obviously some disagreement, a power struggle, but I'd be surprised if he just washed his hands of the whole thing and moved on. Would be a great shame if he did.
-
Cortese and some of his banking pals he's got lined up to buy the club and push the Liebherrs out of the way. People who are prepared to match his ambition (and levels of investment required) to finish the job he started. Or is that too far fetched?

- Cork my MOTM, can't understand why he's always the first to get hooked. - Rodriguez poor. Bad first touches, should've played Lambert in. - Lallana excellent - Boruc back gives while back 4 confidence - we were too slow today. MP said patient but far too often we knocked it about at the back, were static in midfield and got closed down and forced into hoofing it long. - at 1-0 we looked nervous and reluctant to get forward with any force. There were plenty of gaps appearing as WBA had to come out - WBA awful. Time wasting from the start. Foster should've been booked in the first half, and Olsson's booking should've been his 2nd - Webb inconsistent. Booked Lovren (rightly IMO) then let similar offences go unpunished. Poor performance, well needed 3 points. Need a better performance at Sunderland

It's not rubbish at all. He showed some glimpses of the obvious talent he's got, but as usual he gave it away cheaply, doesn't know how or when to play a simple pass, he's weak on the ball etc etc. For a big money signing you'd hope for a lot more. This is a thread about Gaston. I'm aware that Lallana and Rodriguez were poor yesterday, but if you want to change the subject, I'm sure even you could agree that they can both be excised a poor game after their efforts this season.
-
If he learnt to pass the f*cking thing 5 yards when it's the best option he might be in danger of becoming a useful asset. As it is, he's an absolute liability. Let Hazard run right round him for that Oscar chance/booking. I hope he's replaced.
