To be fair I think we will, only get a good idea of how good he was when we see what this new manager can do with the same players. His style was dull but most outsiders thought we were nuts to sack a manager who got us 8th and to a cup final. The end of season was poor but only Man Utd played more games than us last year, and our team was the second youngest (behind only Spurs) so maybe they just ran out of steam.
-
I think the team has always functioned better with a Davis as one of the three behind the striker. He's tended to be the one who knits it all together, he's got the work-rate, movement and brain to make it work. Tadic - Boufal - Redmond is never going to work. JWP doesn't really offer anything as one of the three either.

it's on Channel 4

Does anyone have the prices for those? Surely we've received way more than what we paid for that lot.
-
If we don't invest in the squad I think it's going to be a relegation battle - you just can't stand still in this league yet we've actually made the squad weaker than last year.
-
We need to invest badly, we haven't even replaced Fonte yet. If we go into the season with the same outfit that couldn't hit a barn door at the end of last season we will be inviting a relegation scrap onto ourselves.
-
Nonsense, once the transfer window closes he will have no choice but to get on with his job. Exactly like Schneiderlin and Wanyama.
-
That's nonsense though, didn't we qualify for Europe twice with want-away players (Schneiderlin and Wanyama)?

I'm not celebrating anyone's death, just illustrating how the next generations will obviously become more and more influential and people are generally becoming more liberal in their views. To be honest I think the divide between the older and younger generations will become more and more pronounced. We have youngsters working for us who have good degrees, doing a good job on a half decent salary and whom owning a house is a pipe dream. 5 more years of Conservative austerity, plus the Conservative Brexit - can't see many youngsters turning.

I don't get this urgent need to renovate Fratton Park, it's always been a **** hole. It's been years since I first went there and I remember then having to take a dump in the rain because there was a hole in the corrugated iron roof. To this day it remains the only time in my life I have curled one out whilst being rained on.

To be fair I think the younger generations are way better educated than the old we all know the better educated tend to be left wing. Youngsters also tend to be less racist, sexist, xenophobia or homophobic than your average swivel eyed Tory. Every week the goes by means more dead Tories and more youngsters eligible to vote - tick tick tick tock.

A stark warning from someone who cannot string a coherent sentence together or count. LOL

British politicians openly talk about Russia when discussing our nukes as apparently they are our main threat - surely the same applies to North Korea and the Yanks?
-
I don't hate the US or the west, just don't see the point in all this military ****-waving. All it does is strengthen the position of the North Korean leader. The more the US threaten them the more they will see nukes as essential to their security. I have read about NK and the leader is obviously a nasty brutal dictator, I don't agree in any way with how he runs the country. Like most dictators though his main concern seems to be keeping in power and feathering his own nest. They are going to get nukes eventually so we might be better off not pushing him into a corner. How exactly do you think those US and South Korean War games are perceived by the North Koreans? Exactly how their missile test are.
-
Isn't Corbyn's manefesto more in line with Germany than Venezuela?
-
The US has made threats to them as well - I suppose that is OK?
-
How is a nuclear deterant not defending yourself?
-
The US and South Korea hold military exercises in that area all the time.
-
I don't agree with dictatorships but they are doing no wrong slimply by arming themselves.
-
North Korea has as much right as any other country to defend itself.
-
Just shot them in the sea I think.
-
Surely a sovereign nation is allowed to test their own weapons?
-
You don't agree with Boris Johnson on this one then? "people in Liverpool cannot accept that they might have made any contribution to their misfortunes, but seek rather to blame someone else for it, thereby deepening their sense of shared tribal grievance about the rest of society". It says Liverpudlians "wallow" in their "victim status", adding it is part of the "deeply unattractive psyche" of many in the city.

Venture outside the tax-payer regenerated centre and the place is a complete **** hole. I have never seen urban deprivation like it apart from Eastern Europe.

That example would make sense if the US Air Force was ordered into battle by the Church, not a democratic, secular government.
