Saville used his power to get away with his crimes but that doesn't mean there is a higher proportion of nonces in "the establishment" or whatever you call it. It's a crime that transcends class.
-
There's probably plenty of Jimmy Saville types around your local council estates.
-
Of course it's not just entertainers and DJs but my point still stands. If you are famous or in the public eye for whatever reason you are more likely to be the target of malicious false claims, more likely to get pulled up on historical stuff and more in the attention of the media
-
If Lambert had played as bad as Rooney did that half they would have been banging on about it for the last 10 mins.
-
Garbage so far.
-
True, but the rich and powerful are also more of a target for false claims and more of a story for the media. Fact is, if you had touched someone up in a nightclub 30 years ago you probably wouldn't have much to worry about. If you were a world famous DJ however you would be sweating like a Ukranian tank driver.

I've just started a similar type of thing at work, makes sense because they chuck some money in as well. Can't help thinking I'm just throwing my cash down the sh!tter tho, there's bound to be another crash soon so I will probably get 20p back for every pound I put in.

I really don't get your point. Paedophilia is as bad in all areas of society, the idea that the establishment has a particular problem with it is absurd.
-
It's one of those crimes that is carried out by all sorts of people, the idea that there is a paedophilia iceberg in the establishment is bizarre. It's just the famous/high up pervs are the one's that hit the headlines.

I agree that it's bound to get messy, nothing will change the fact that the majority in the west will want to be closer to Europe, and nothing will stop Russia wanting control over certain parts - something's got to give. We just need to stay out of it altogether.
-
Fair enough, certainly a better reason for invading than we had for invading Iraq. Seems like the best outcome for everyone would be a Ukraine split in half. Let the west have their links to Europe, let the side who prefer Russia go to them - everyones a winner. Not sure why that Bald headed ***t Hague needs to get involved.
-
I've said what I think earlier on thanks. I don't really give a sh!te because it is nothing to do with us whatsoever. It's just a load of **** waving by the Russians, the UK and US have invaded enough countries so are in no position to take the moral high ground.
-
I wasn't disgusted, just amazed anyone over 12 years old could be so detached from reality. I have raised the point again because, despite you comments being in bad taste, you have yet to admit how wrong you were on both cases.
-
Of course you can. How's your Boston bombing false flag theory getting on?
-
LOL, from the person who thought Lee Rigby's murder was one big false flag staged by the government. "look at the hands, the hands!, where's the blood?!"
-
We function much better as a team with Davis in it.
-
Couldn't give a sh!te what Russia do to be honest, it's nothing to do with us. They have more right to invade Crimea than we did Iraq.

I expect getting d!cked 3-0 by Liverpool might explain the impression of him not being happy. -

It makes sense to me, I've never got the argument that higher taxes is a disincentive to do well, you still earn more the better you do whatever the rate is. If you are that greedy that you object to paying tax then every little extra you earn after tax will be an incentive. Also the idea that loads of people will move abroad if the tax rate is high is a bit fanciful, I know plenty of people in the top tax bracket and there is no way they would move abroad in a million years, their friends, family and whole life is in this country. Of course some in the city may but there can be other incentives to be here, plus these c*nts usually run rings around tax laws anyway. -
It would make sense to have two types of prisons, one that is geared up to reforming crims that are going to be released and one where we just throw away the key and keep them there for life as cheaply as possible. We should make the whole life sentence apply to more people, not just murderers but other serial criminals who are beyond hope.

Great news for Shaw but I still think Ashley Cole will get the nod for Brazil. Good management by Hodgson though, give the boy a chance to impress and give Cole a wake up call at the same time.
-
Only Southampton council would spend £1.7million, make things less safe and end up with more ****ing traffic lights. You need rocks in you head to want to cycle into Southampton during rush hour, way too many idiot drivers on the road. If anything they should be discouraging people from cycling, sorting one junction out would no achieve anything anyway. More cyclists = more deaths on the road, it's that simple.
-
Even if they get fed and clothed, and probably get a playstaion or Sky TV - it would still be thoroughly depressing knowing that you will never be free again. Money well spent IMO. However I still think there should be special prisons for people like this that are designed to be uncomfortable and include hard labour - I would gladly pay extra tax for that.

This. For all the talk of the state of English football and how we need to change everything from the grass roots up - fact is if Bale was born a bit further east then England would have a team capable of winning the World Cup.

They can sleep at night because they are an essential part of the justice system. I think the sentences for these two scumbags is about right, hopefully they will both die inside. There should be more whole life sentences handed out.
