I'm not to worried if Shaw goes but if Lallana were to go it would leave a f*cking big hole in our side. It's the sort of loss that could easily turn a comfortably mid-table side into relegation strugglers. If he were to go to Man U with Shaw in a double deal it would be interesting to see how much cash Bournemouth would get for their sell on clause. In theory we could sell Shaw for £39.5mill and give them Lallana for £500K, giving the Cherries just £125K.

I would play the kids in this one as we literally have nothing to play for. Give the young lads some valuable experience. Gazza Chambers - Fonte - Lovren - Targett Reed - Wanyama JWP - Lallana - McQueen Gallagher Subs: Boruc, Shaw, Clyne, Cork, Sims, Lambert, Davis

Risdale had similar plans to take Leeds further.

To much "wait and see in the summer" for my liking. I think we all know what that usually means. It will certainly be an interesting summer, we are at a point where decent investment could mean a realistic push for Europe next season. But with this "difficult financial position" talk it seems we will probably not being doing that - how far the other way will we go?

Great news, both have to be on the plane to Brazil. I really don't see the point in playing safe and taking Ashley Cole, we're not going to win the thing so might as well take a gamble.

Sky Sports saying Wickham could make the England plane.

Holy sh!t, how cr@p are England now? -
Their agents would talk to Lallana's agent.
-
I think he will be off.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with saints at the moment?

8/10, would be higher if we made more of an effort in the cups. I think we will look back on this season as a massive opportunity missed. I still don't get Poch's thinking behind the Sunderland debacle, I guess he actually believed in Cortese's Champions League ******. -
Good statement but we all know that Shaw and Lallana's futures depends more on what they, their agents and other big club's decide than what Les Reed wants.
-
I've heard that he is on Man City's "shopping list" from someone quite well connected at the club.

I might do a charity bike ride in aid of homeless blind orphans in Ethiopia*. *50/50 split, half the cash goes towards a new car for me.

What he's basically saying is don't listen to the green, doom-mongerers because development doesn't have to hurt the environment as long as we invest in green technologies (i.e. do what the green, doom-mongerers are saying). -
To be fair we stayed up for years buying players from the league below. The season we went down we probably had more players brought from the Prem than ever before.
-
We will flog him and everyone will get into a right old flap. Then Targett will seamlessly take his place next season and we will be £30mill better off, a new young star in the side and an academy with an even better reputation.

RESTORE OUR RIGHT TO PRIORITY TICKETS FOR HOME GAMES - PLEASE!!!!!
aintforever replied to 42's topic in The Saints
I think you're losing your marbles grandad. I had a season ticket for over 10 years before this season and there wasn't one cup game at St Marys I couldn't get a ticket for. Away games is obviously a different story because it depends on the size of the allocation. -
They should give all the money to the kid the heart-string tugging c*nts.

Weird that because sceptics always used to show the correlation between solar irradiance (or amount of sunspots) and temperature to try and prove that man made climate change was all nonsense (as if the greenhouse effect wouldn't be linked to the solar output anyway). That was until recently when solar irradiance has remained low and temperature high. Would be interesting to see the graphs of high-energy solar output against temperatures. -
That is an interesting thought, the greed of our capitalist way of life does fly in the face of Christian values. I'm not religious in the slightest but do find the churches views on today's obscene lifestyles refreshing.

Nothing wrong with having babies.

Bottom line is Moyes took over a team that won the Premier League easily, spent a fortune, and left them one place above Southampton. Moyes did OK at Everton, but that's all. His Everton sides never played great football and never won a trophy. Man Utd was never an appropriate job for him.
-
Just Cameron pandering to the UKIP voters again.
-
Moyes is way out of his depth at Man Utd. Everton are a pretty big club, his record there was OK but he won naff all. 6th or 7th in the Prem is about where they should be really. Martinez is showing Moyes up big time.
