Only people born in England should play for England

B*ll*x to that, we need all the help we can get. Wiltshere is just scared of losing his place to someone who is actually good. -
Southampton the 4th crappest town in the UK

There are nice areas everywhere but fact is average house prices are dictated by how desirable an area is, the average house price in my area is £232,214, Liverpool is £129,267. Liverpool is just not a desirable location. -

There are plenty of nice town centres up north, with loads to do and great pubs etc. But the houses are cheap for one reason only, no one wants to f*cking live there because it's a sh!t hole. I stayed with a mate from Uni on the outskirts, I have never seen urban deprivation that bad anywhere else in the UK, except for possibly Manchester. The first thing you need in a place to live, above all else, is a job. Forget museums, tourist attractions and shopping facilities, if you have little or no income it doesn't matter where you live you will be miserable. That's why Southampton p!sses all over Liverpool. -
I can see us winning this 1-0, United are sh!te under Moyes, the pressure will be on them big time.

Yeah, bravo. That needed saying. I think the point was that being in an area good for sailing is one of Southampton's attributes. -

He said Solent, and I guess he probably knows more about it than you. I expect he was talking about the competitive sport not w@nkers poncing about in speed boats. -

I was chatting to an Olympic Sailor a while ago and he said the solent was pretty much considered the yachting capital of the World. I don't know enough about it to tell if he was talking sh!te or not tho. -

You can't take any article seriously that says this about Morcambe... "Now I'm happy to say that the town has turned a corner. Lots of the lovely old buildings that had been collapsing have been fixed up (the art-deco Midland Hotel is now just gorgeous) and there's also a new, can-do spirit about the place. On a sunny day it's one of the most beautiful places in the UK." Morcambe is a complete sh!t hole. I stopped off there this summer and couldn't get out quick enough. It's the usual northern dump full of the unemployed and derelict buildings. In fact if you were to do a serious list of cr@p UK towns I doubt anywhere South of Oxford would feature in the top 50. -
One moment summed it up perfectly yesterday. Fox gave the ball away and was absolutely slaughtered by the mongs in the Kingsland, then seconds later Ward-Prose did the exact same thing and no-one said a word.

I hate it when refs try and even up after making a mistake like that. I think it's worse refereeing than actually making the mistake in the first place.

I'm still waiting for Wes Tender to come up with the Ralph Milliband quotes where he says he wants British servicemen to die in the Falklands. Come on Wes, what's keeping you...
-
I doubt the odd cigarette would do any harm, I doubt he's on 20 a day.
-
This is the quote I have read from him RE the Falklands: 'I won't write about the f****** Falklands now. It's a most depressing and bitter business and it seems to have turned Thatcher into a major political figure,' he said. 'I mean that her brand of Toryism may now come to predominate. The Falklands has served her well . . . if she is returned at the next election England will look a very different country than even in 1979.' Can you post the quotes where he says he wants British soldiers to die etc because I havn't read them.
-
From what I read his quotes about the falklands were more to do with his dislike for Thatcher. Whatever the rights and wrongs about the war (there is a wiff of colonialism about it), she did use it to enhance her popularity. He clearly disliked certain institutions and aspects of British culture but so do many of us.

America is a good place to live IF you have money. When I was there it was superb, I thought it was what Britain would be like if we didn't have to subsidise a load of scrounging northerners. There were plenty of areas that looked really poor in the US though, I expect being there with little money is a pretty cr@p existence. When you look at other sh!t holes around the world, we can consider ourselves very lucky to be in England.
-
I'm sorry but that is nonsense. He obviously didn't like certain institutions or aspects of our culture when he was 17 but to say "he hated Britain" is just a plain lie. It was made on purpose just to be controversial. There are plenty of things I don't like about Britain but if you were to say I hate my country you would be lying.
-
No it didn't, some on here had a right hissy fit over the ding dong stuff.
-
He doesn't stand in the dock for anything, he had is own political views and there is nothing wrong with that even if the Mail doesn't agree with them. The Mail making stuff up about a dead relative to attack Milliband is just low.
-
I don't get the whole A4 thing, not practical at all. It's probably some marketing arse-hole trying to be different for the sake of it just to impress their boss.
-
I'm in favour of making work shy losers sign-on everyday if only to get Turkish off his fat arse to stop him posting his inane drivel on here all day.
-
The Mail writing cr@p like that will probably actually make Miliband more popular. Trying to attack someone by using the political beliefs of dead relative is low, even for a scummy paper like the Mail.
-
Cortese would never sell him for that in a million years.
-
They should be measures in place to stop people like these being effected but I think generally it's a good idea. I know someone who wouldn't have got a suitable house if it wasn't for someone being shifted out of a 3 bed they didn't need.

I get really bad vertigo but have a strange urge to drive really fast over that Norman Foster one in France. http://www.fosterandpartners.com/projects/millau-viaduct/
