  1. I think there is definitely a valid argument for bringing the cut-off down from 24 weeks but the line has to be drawn somewhere. If you go down the 'every sperm is sacred' route and ban it altogether you create a whole load of other problems like backstreet abortions, abortions only available to those who can get it done abroad, and unwanted kids brought up in unsuitable environments.
  2. I think abortion is necessary, I don't buy this right to life nonsense for a bunch of cells inside someone's body. I'm of the opinion you have rights as soon as you are a fully developed person. It is disgusting and wrong how some people use it as contraception, though it wold be difficult to stop this. Maybe if someone has had an abortion through carelessness they should not be allowed another one for the same reason.
  3. Maybe at the next cosy little Cortese dinner someone will have the balls to ask: Why are we having to borrow money from a company registered in the British Virgin Islands? Exactly how much are we borrowing and what are the terms of the loan? Who are the Vibrac Corporation?
  4. no one, I can't be arsed. I expect someone will though and they will be right.
  5. It's not a case of Whinging, It's right to ask question's about borrowing, we could easily end up the same way as portsmouth.
  6. I expect the plan is that when the team improves so will demand. Arsenal built a bigger stadium and priced it to suit.
  7. Why do you think Arsenal tickets are much cheaper than QPR's?
  8. Exactly, we're all part of the same club.
  9. I am surprised by how low the attendances are, the take up of corporate seats is especially poor. I can only assume Cortese is not bothered about it because he knows the team will eventually improve and hence so will demand. If I were the Liebherrs I would be questioning if Cortese's policy of p!ssing in the face of club legends, the club's history and loyal club workers and suppliers is really the right approach. Also the like it or lump it approach to the supporters. There is always a large element of goodwill between supporters of a club and the club itself, I'm not sure Cortese understands this concept. Maybe better employ a CEO that does.

    Torture

It would be interesting to know if this is true and what studies have been done. From the non-fiction military books I have read I would say if you know a suspect has some information, torture will eventually get it out of them. Everyone has a limit to what they can withstand, the stuff you see in the movies where they just take it and spit in their face is nonsense.
  11. I'm not surprised they need to lay off sellers, the programmes being going steadily downhill ever since Hiley left.
  12. It's probably just some way of avoiding tax but it is cause for concern. It's naive to think the money we are spunking on Ramirez etc won't have to be paid back at some point in the future.
  13. It's good to hear him being positive but a million managers have said similar things and got the bullet a few days later.
  14. I'm a non smoker but have one once in a blue moon if I'm p!ssed and out with my smoker mates.
  15. That's pretty vague, Adkins could still have final say on first team signings. "Responsible for recruitment" could mean he just does the paperwork and hires the backroom staff etc.
  16. Where did you read it?
  17. I seriously doubt we have Charlton's sh!ttest ever manager deciding who we buy.
  18. Who the f*ck thinks Kelvin should be in the England team!
  19. I just don't think a past it old manager like Benitez is what we need. I don't want Redknapp either but think he would get more out our players.
  20. I just think his Liverpool sides were generally sh!te. Brought some dire players.
  21. I don't rate Benitez. Apart from fluking the CL his teams were garbage.
  22. I would rather Redknapp than Benitez.
  23. I have an iphone, imac and Macbook but do agree that Apple come across as a bunch of assholes. Hey everyone it's groundbreaking iphone 5, looks exactly like iphone 4 but is a bit thinner and faster. Woopie f@cking do.
  24. Cheers for that, very helpful. It was the sheer size of L.A. that was putting me off going there (limited time, don't want to spend it in traffic Jams). Definitely fancy the San Gabriel mountain drive and Griffith Park Observatory though. Might try and take in the views without getting caught up in the city.
  25. Next week! Got the first Vegas place booked, Yosemite and San Fran. Just left a few days open-ended in the second week. Probably will be either around Napa and the Redwoods then hammer it back to Vegas in a day or down the Pacific coast towards LA then back to Vegas.
