"It's a very serious bid," he told Sky Sports News. Alarm bells always start ringing when the person involved says stuff like this. Wacko Jacko all over again.

That's probably the line of thought of the "insurgents/terrorists" in Iraq. Except they have more justification as it's their country. -

Voting for anyone won't guarantee anything you think c**t. -

I wouldn't vote for the Tories either, it's only that nob-head Robsk II who has mentioned the Tories, I think they are a bunch of ****s. My point was that, out of principle, you shouldn't vote for a government who has lied to take the country to war, it doesn't matter what colour they are. -

That's my point, most people DIDN'T want to go to war. When has a British government ever previously got a PR expert to spin a dossier in order to go to war for reason that turned out to be completely false? I don't doubt that the Torys would have done the same thing, but they need to know that when they get in power and a similar situation arises, taking the country to war on a lie will end their careers. -

That's not important, WHOEVER is in government needs to know that you cannot lie to go to war and get away with it. It sets a dangerous precedent if your leaders think they can lie and spin their way to murdering thousands of people and not face any comeback. Otherwise what is the point in democracy? -

I don't see how anyone can watch that and still vote Labour. It's a matter of principle, no government should be allowed to lie to take us into war and still remain in power. What sort of precedent does it set if they are voted in again? -
The thing is nobody really knows who paid who what because it's all been done through dodgy companies registered in the Virgin Islands. All we know is Chanrai was awarded 17m or so from Gaydamak by courts, now he owns Gaydamak's football club and has license to strip what he wants.
-
With or without Rooney we wont win the World Cup, people forget we are England and generally quite **** at football.
-
It's obviously The Mail making a fuss about nothing but for the sake of argument. 1. If it doesn't matter what it's called - why change it? 2. Countries have different names for other countries cities etc, but the EU governs us, it is OUR government (supposedly) changing the name.
-
I'm just guessing but the way I see Chairnrai's involvement is simply as an asset stripper. Gaydamak owed Chanrai cash, Gaydamak's bank accounts were frozen so he just gave him the club to get what he can out of it. Chanrai is just keeping it on life support until the rest of the Sky money turns up, there is plenty left to strip for a while yet. Ignore the administrator, as the main creditors it is still Gaydamak and Chanrai in full control of what is happening.

If I was a skate I would keep hold of my "Relegation Party" T shirt because it will get plenty of use this time next year. Unless a sugar daddy comes in willing to chuck millions down the toilet I can see them as nailed on for going down again. Take the loanies and the high earner out of that squad and it is almost non existent. Bung in the very likely points deduction (most probable -17) and the absence of parachute money and they are a basket case.

What butcher hundreds of thousands of people so that I can fill my car up a few quid cheaper? You would have to be pretty sick to be OK with that.
-
Bit of a short sighted attitude, you don't have to agree with every policy of a party to vote for them. There is not one party which stand for everything I believe in. Fact is, is some areas, normal non racist people have resorted to voting for these people because they feel let down by the traditional parties who have their own sizable share of "scum".

I don't know much about charities but surely by law Saints Aid has to publish where the money went, what was made ect? I heard that some local businesses were still owed money.
-
The Conservatives will win the election in a landslide IMO. Forget the polls saying how close it will be, most Labour voters are fed up with the whole thing and will just stay at home while the Torys will be out in force. I have always leaned towards Labour but just refuse to vote for a party that lied to take us to war for the sake of oil, I will probably never vote for them again regardless of policy. The **** thing is I dont think their could be a worse time to have a tory government.

Should we have a referendum regarding....
aintforever replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
It does take the ****, why do we always have to pander to the inferiority complexes of Wales and Scotland? We should at least have our own assembly. I would vote for devolution, we would be way better off without having to bank roll **** holes like Glasgow. -
UK Independence Party: 66% British National Party: 61% Conservative Party: 52% Green Party: 42% Labour Party: 40% Liberal Democrats: 40%

According to the BBC... More than 3,000 white farmers are estimated to have been murdered since the end of apartheid in 1994. World Cup anyone!?
-
Excluding Lab/Lib/Cons what other party would you vote for?
aintforever replied to woodfc's topic in The Lounge
It would be the Greens but while I agree 100% with their stand on the environment I get he impression they have a lot of looney left policies I refuse to vote for. I would rather live in a ****ged environment and not hand out my tax money to scroungers. UKIP it is, though I'm not particularly anti Europe, I object to not being given a referendum. -
You would still expect them to be stronger than Swindon. When teams like that over perform you usually see the manager leave or players sold or both.
-
That's not good news for us, we will stand a better chance of promotion next year if Leeds, Norwich and Charlton go up.
-
16K for a Premier League game against Blackburn, we get 18K for a 3rd tier fixture against Hartlepool.

play-offs were a long shot anyway, roll on next season.
