  1. I am not one to criticize as I don’t have a season ticket myself but Brian Gunn said on Talk Sport this morning that Norwich had sold 19k for the coming season. Now that is very impressive. :smt103

    world cup

Anyone that does not think that this is good news for Southampton Football Club, St Mary's Stadium and the city in general is off their bloody heads. Some people always have to pick holes in A POSITIVE! If you do not like Rugby then I suggest that you don't visit St Mary's or watch TV when the Rigby World Cup is on in 2015. Simple eh?
  3. This attitude makes perfect sense and is one I fully agree with. Pardon the cliché but let's take one game at a time and aim for -7 after Millwall at home on the 8th!
  4. Pardew said the target has to be mid table by Christmas. I then expect us to strengthen in January and make a massive push for the play offs. Anything less will be a failed season for me. Pardew is a winner and I do not expect him to settle for consolidation and mid table obscurity.
  5. Very little depth needed for a subject like this. It is a no brainer as far as I am concerned and has to be club every time. If anyone says any different then personally they are not a proper fan of their club. As you say if England do well then great but I won't lose any sleep over it if they don't.
  6. I have to fully agree with that. I think it is the best decision for all concerned. For me you can only play one of Rasiak or John and I would say Stern edges it for many reasons. Rasiak would score goals in this division but there is little doubt that he is not interested in playing for a league 1 club so it is time for him to move on.
  7. Pardew lives in the Reigate area. He has been spotted at the cinema and in and around the pubs\restaurants here plenty of times. As I work in Reigate I will be keeping an eye out for him to advise and let him know where he is going wrong! It is commutable but would be a fairly long one.
  8. I think he would be a very good signing. He could be our Matty Oakley in league 1. i.e. a class above whose experience allows him to dominate and dictate the pace of a game. Along with Murty good captain material too!

    Leroy Lita

I totally agree. Rasiak or Stern John partnered with Lita would be awesome in league 1 and if we get promoted to The Championship. The strike force is the most important part of the team and with this kind of line-up I can see us making the play offs this season!

    it is time

Hagiology Publishing and specifically David Bull, Herbie the tour guide from Saints List would all have to be involved in this project. What these chaps do not know about our football clubs past is not worth knowing. Once we are up and running this should be done a.s.a.p. before there expertise and knowledge is gone. It is a great idea. It does not have to be big but just has to be something that celebrates Southampton Football Club, its past, present and future.
  11. If you watch the full interview when it is on next then it does not come across as anything to get too excited about. He says he will definitely not be manager despite being 20-1 with the bookies. He also said he could not see himself being chairman and the call from Pinnacle came out of the blue. A kid asked him if he may have a role at the club and he said he was going to speak with the new management team soon but if he did accept a role it was very likely to be a small one. He will be a pundit for our game against Millwall. No mention of his soccer Saturday position.
  12. After the hysteria and good vibes this week I feel the new appointment is likely to be a real disappointment. Things never stay great for long when you’re a Saints fan so it is bound to take a down turn at some point. Despite most wanting someone like Strachan you have to be honest and ask yourselves why he would want to come back to a club like Southampton. If he wants a return to football at some point I am pretty sure there will be plenty of Premiership clubs interested in signing him up. Sorry for the gloom it is not intentional just a major dose of realism on my part. The way I look at it I expect the worst and anything above is a bonus then. So it has to be Tony Adams IMHO
  13. What a positive start by the new regime. I will not benefit from this as I cannot afford a ST next year but this is the kind of PR we have missed in the last 10 years. Long may looking after the fans in this manner continue!
  14. Shall we call it The All New Saints Day?
  15. Well he is on SSN now Chief Operating Officer!
  16. You really have gone to the top of the list of most boring mundane poster on this forum. We have had 3 months of sheer hell and all you do is snipe about Wotte at every given opportunity. Give the guy a break and at least let's see how he starts the season. Wotte is our manager now so ****ing get over it. Now should be a time for celebration and putting the past behind us not about listening to the words of wisdom of SaintRobbie the guy who loves the sound of his own voice.
  17. Really, so how many of these city's have the 40k stadium that is required? Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle/Gateshead, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Sheffield and Sunderland.
  18. For those saying 'so what' are you ****ing deluded? It may turn out OK in the end but our football club has been at serious risk of going out of business. Our preparations for any kind of push for the play offs next season have been severely hampered by the fact we are still in administration coming into July. With a month still to go until the big kick off we have players we still need to offload and a squad that is still pretty think on the ground. From where I am standing the fact this Fry forced us into Admin a month or two before we start selling season tickets and before the transfer window opened where we could start offloading some of our players was scandalous then as it is now. The fact he has now turned up as a partner at the administrators totally stinks and should be explained in full by BT. If you think 'so what' then you clearly do not give a **** about the well being and good health of Southampton Football Club!
  19. I am with you there. So many false dawns so what is the point in getting excited until any deal is signed sealed and delivered? The press conference and when that ink is dry on the contract is time to pop my champagne cork!
  20. Have you actually seen how much Administrators charge per hour? No offence but yours is the dumbest suggestion I have heard in ages. Would anyone care to estimate Saints bill already? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=12007
  21. One false dawn after another...We are going out of business...anything more positive than that and I will see it as a bonus and may just be able to crack a small smile!
  22. Of course we deserve it as morally we are in the wrong. Legally he has a point but it is the football leagues competition and their rules and they can adjust or adopt them to suit, as they have done. We either accept it or we go and play in another league, it is as simple as that!
  23. Well Said. Mark Wotte deserves a huge amount of thanks credit from the fans of Southampton Football Club. During our troubles he has conducted himself admirably and to be fair to him he does deserve to make a go of things. Judging him on last season is flawed as it was not his team and they were not playing to his style or system. Personally I do think there are better candidates out there but Wotte is our man for now and we should give him a chance and all get behind him.
  24. I have been away for the weekend only to return and see nothing has happened and the same dross being repeated over and over. The only worthy item of news is the sale of one of our most talented home grown players. There is nothing like sticking the knife in and twisting it. :smt098
  25. You can get a credit report on here for £8.95 which will show who he has and currently works for. There is also a Simon Fialka in London N14 as well so looks like he may have a brother. http://www.checksure.biz/Director/MICHAEL+FIALKA-5123514.htm According to this both Fialka brothers own 3 directorships! http://www.checksure.biz/live/freesearch2_results_director.asp?ssn=6185600-9759070629672573437665596&SearchID=4446962
