Some here need to calm down and get some perspective. We're top with half the season to play. We've hit a bad run. Are we good enough to go up with the players we have? Yes, the season so far has showed us that. Will we? Not necessarily, we need to rediscover some form. Will new players help? Yes, if they are good ones. Now let's regroup and go for it, a few poor results don't mean the end of our season.

Actually I disagree with you there. Brentford and MK Dons home last season, rochdale away, 1st goal at bristol city last week possibly. He occasionally makes a mess of covering his near post but has more than made up for a few errors in the last couple of seasons. Great pro, great bloke, but if we went up and Leicester didn't I would love to see Schmiechel here. I know people think he's overrated but some of the saves I've seen him make in this division are out of this world. His personality, on the other hand, might not be quite what we are after - a lot of posing and screaming at his defence, a bit like his dad, but he does the job.

Not a particularly pleasant experience for him, though. The Sunderland fans thought he was dreadful, and I have to say, when we signed him the following summer I thought it was a shocking decision from Burley. But he has shown himself to be a superb professional and excellent asset to have at the club. I don't think he's quite what we need if we were to go up, but I would like him to stick around.

Alternatively, you could say we are having a fantastic season, winning a few games without playing well and still holding off a WHU squad who wouldn't look out of place in the PL. Criticising Adkins is laughable. I genuinely can't tell if you are 'trolling' or not. We have a good chance of getting into the automatic places, but a playoff position having just been promoted is a successful season, no matter what our start was.

Even six months ago I didn't rate Chaplow in the slightest. Now I think he's one of our best players. Hope he's back for the derby.

I wonder if he has any more gears to move up into under Adkins. He's twice the player he was 12 months ago, and still far better than even his first year here. His link-up play has become his greatest strength.

Hammond incident - penalty. Second incident - free kick 3 yards outside. Third incident - a very realistic, but very actual, dive. IMO none of the incidents would have changed the outcome of the match, we were picking them apart.

I was genuinely gutted when Peterborough beat Huddersfield in the final, it seemed a real injustice after such a run. And I had money on it.
