  1. There is something odd down Arsenal way, they have a history of many injuries or players with multiple injuries in a season. From what I understand they put a huge amount into sports science but are lead by the figures rather than use them as a guide with other information.
  2. The best quote was at the end: '...you realise it's the perfect place to be.' lets hope the all mean it.
  3. I think Wycombe will join Torquay.

  5. I've been involved in systems where the focus is to keep it going, rather than working on contingency/compromise plans as any breaches means a catastrophic loss so not worth carrying on. It's a difficult concept to deal with.
  6. I based it on if they are sold rather than out with a long term injury/end career, I hope that's fills the missing something. So if Shaw leaves, do you think the shed load of money received would give Saints a reasonable chance to get a suitable replacement? At the end of the day any changes to the squad will impact the squad as a whole, not just the skills they have but the togetherness and trust etc the squad has developed over the seasons.
  7. 1Lallana 2 J Rod 3 Lovren 4 Lambert 5 Boruc 6 Schneiderlin 7 Fonte 8 Cork 9 Shaw
  8. There is something wrong here, haven't they always made life 'unbearable' for the visiting team? Perhaps they need a change of tactics, a plan B for the fans.
  9. Not sure if I heard some booing when NC was shown on screen... can anyone confirm? ;-)
  10. From March Last Year: "Clubs in the Championship who do not get parachute payments currently receive £2.3m a season, League One sides £325,000 and League Two sides £250,000. It is proposed that those payments are increased by around 5% under the new offer." I'm not sure if the new offer was voted in.
  11. Are you sure it's £750k each... that's £18m to League Two! I cannot believe the PL would be that generous.
  12. No wins in five the last time Awford was caretaker. Love the ad Rallyboy, great work.
  13. A triple substitution with 30 minutes to go by Northampton. They are going for it!
  14. I would have thought it better to make a complaint of the general poor standard of punditry rather than one specific event which gets trotted out many times with different players and teams. But maybe they don't do analysis or perhaps are told to keep it 'light' for the majority of viewers (who will be supports of the big clubs).
  15. The great support who never boo their players and get on their backs have come up with this chant to the tune of my old man's a dust man: Jervis is a dustman he wears a dustmans hat When the ball comes anywhere near him he couldn't break a sweat He walks around the pitch hands stuck on his hips But he's getting paid £4k a week, so doesn't give a s**t
  16. They have great management, look at the stats: Barker:... 19.... 4... 8... 7 Whits:..... 51...11..15..25 Appleton: 51....13..11..27 all about a point a game.
  17. A better table I feel :-)
  18. It's been an utterly delightful season watching the pain they have been suffering so far and it's still has eight games to run. Top, top entertainment.
  19. Like rain on your wedding.
  20. It's difficult to tell what was going on as there seemed to be conflicting information around. Having said that, Liverpool are in a better position to persuade a player to stay than us.
  21. There is a lot of pressure to get a result on Saturday from all this, even more if the relegation rivals can leap above them. Are we seeing a Pompey meltdown?
  22. you watch next season, how Pompey's cast offs turn in good performances for their new clubs. There are a few decent players there at the moment although most are out of contract this summer. Lol
  23. he loves the club sooo much he's willing to leave it for the greater good (aka his career).
  24. His family are good friends of the Lallana's too!
