    Allocations

This in a nutshell. Against Huddersfield we had just over 20,000 and hudersfield had around 350 at tops. As you point out at £10 per head against a more attractive team and a round later we would have sold out.

    Allocations

100% agree. This really needs bringing up with the club at the next forum. Spurs , Wolves, Norwich , Palace , Arsenal, Man Utd and even Pompey have all played here in the FA cup and only been given 4800 with most of block 41 and all of block40 for Saints fans. Its not like we wouldn’t sell out at the prices the club have announced . Clueless.
  3. There was a fans meeting last night with the club, it would be intresteing see if the subject of away tickets came up.
  4. Exactly that. Its not like goal line technology which is a fact, is instant and a good thing for the game. Nobody has ever had a debate as to if the ball just crossed the line or not.
  5. So what you are saying is you want VAR to ref the game and take the human factors out. ? It’s not what I want but there you go each to their own .
  6. I think the powers that be need to say what VAR is acually for, it was my understanding that it would only be used for clear and obvious mistakes by the ref and linesmen. To me the VAR ref saying after 2 mins and various angles and lines drawn on the screen that a players toe was offside by 2mm or so is not clear and you would not expect a ref or linsman to see it in normal game time - if the VAR team cant decide after 15seconds then the original decision should stand. This should be for evey decision not just off sides. Its seems to me, especially for off sides that VAR is actually refering the game and that is something i thought it was not brought in to do.
  7. Yes, exactly that. Have to agree the club seemed to think spending £15m on a was the same as spending £15 on a player 4 or 5 years ago. Ross Wilson had great delight in rhe summer telling us at the fans forum how we had our best results (think he ment specd 15m sell for 30m) in the £10m- £15m bracket and how we wouldnt spend much more. Thought at the time now days that £15m player would be the bestr part of £30m now days.
  8. Ok I’ll change my statement we have never taken our full allocation entitlement to Liverpool since we came back up. One season we only took around 900 though that was either a mid week game on an early Sunday . You are right though we normally sell out the allocation we do take . like you I’ve been to Anfield over 20 time’s .

  10. We have never taken an alocation of 3000 to liverpool, even thoiugh for a Saturday 3pm KO there will be planty of uptake. (though there are always enough Lverpool so called fans in our section as it is)
  11. I have never seen anywhere , on here ,on the ugly, on itsbeautiful outside, on the variuos Facebook groups, where any member of the Saints voice have asked what we as supporters want to bring up and discuss. Like you say they seem to be a group of fans who think they are special and only ask questions they want to ask. I thought they wedre supposed to be for all fans. Maybe if a member is reading this then they could give us their opionion of what its all about, what goes on and where they get to discuss at the meetings and who theu ask.
  12. You do have to question the ticket office. It’s actually worse as the club sent 1000 odd tickets back. We originally took an allocation of around 2100 but sent the unused block back . We did the same last year . Then theres the Wolves fiasco with the club selling out the origanal 2200 allocation and dispite the lowere tier at wolves not being possible to split didn’t put the extra 1000 tickets on sale till 2 days before the game. And even then never announced it. I think only once since we came back up have the club took the full 3000 allocation at Chelsea. Not sure what the Saints voice do but this should be brought up.
  13. So who would you drop from our midfield to make for him then?
  14. It wasn’t a mistake to sack Puel , the mistake was not replacing him with better coaches / managers. just like it wasn’t necessary a mistake to sell players for large amounts ( Saibts have always sold) it was wasting all of the money raised buying poor players. ( obviously it also asks the question why we seem to be the only club in the league that have to sell to buy) No body was mentioning Puel this time last year. I bet there’s not one Leicester fan wishing they never sacked Puel.
  15. It probably does - just like every other clubs black box does. The difference is other clubs get their top targets and we cant afford to get ours.
  16. Yet you felt the need to coment on it. Strange if you dont like the thread dont read it. I waould also add the summer 2018 , January 2019 and the summer of 2019 to list of poor transfer windows too. Incuding the poor choices of managers/ coaches too.
  17. The club are excellent at feeding the press supposed signings we are interested in but for various reasons we never actually sign these and have to settle for someone else who even if we had heard of him would be a lot less exiting then the name the club leaked .
  18. out of interest how many players do you think we will need to improve us ? How much do you think those players will cost and do you think the club can afford it ?
  19. Agree with the defence (Who couldnt?) all the time we have to score at least 2 goals to get a result we will struggle. I disagree we have enough going forward - once again we missed chances to win the game (even allowing for our **** defence). If, and it is all if and buts etc , we had taken our chances against Arsenal and Newcastle (and there are many other games I could mention) we may have been sitting midtabe on 20 points. The fact is out attatck are not good enough to make up for our poor defence and both need fixing.

    Danny Ings

Doubt you could get a better striker for £ 20million.
  21. Hes played over 60 premiere league games for Saints - I would class that as more then enough experience. Yes he tries hard , so would I , but he’s playing in a league well above what he should be .
  22. IFHP

    Obafemi

I like Lonf, thought h did well when he came on yesterday and can cause defenders problems with his work rate etc. Obafami on the otherhand not sure what the club see in him .
  23. All the time you have to score 3 to win then you are in trouble. A half decent team would have beaten Arsenal today. Huge week or so coming up and at the end of it we may give ourselves a chance (slim) if staying up.
  24. If all the reports are true then Hasenhuttl falls out with a lot of players and coching staff. Austin, Hoedt, Lemina, Bertrand and Cedric have all been reported as having a falling out with him. Not the sort of thing you want to hear when we have a very poor squad and we need a manager to get the best out of them if we are to move up the table.
  25. Depends on what you mean . In my opinion the current team would not finish in the top six but not would it finish in the bottom 3 of the championship
