The Rangers manager wants to build a team capable of making an instant return to the Premier League, and he is looking to make former England left-back Wayne Bridge his first post-relegation signing. Redknapp is keen to speak to club owner Tony Fernandes over bringing in Bridge, whose Manchester City contract is about to expire, but is adamant that he must have the final say over rejigging QPR's playing roster. Seem to remember Beattie scoring less in his first season at about the same age! Same could be said abot the likes of Shearer (despite the debut hat trick), Channon and even Le Tiss. Most players in their early 20's take a season or so to settle into a side. Nothing to worry about just yet!
