  1. Saints need to finish some of this excellent approach play, should be 2 or 3 up. Daft challenge from Valery on Barry White. As an aside the appalling BBC commentary appears to be provided by the Swansea Car park stewards and burger bar staff - niche.
  2. Liverpool - mostly from late 70s and 80s juvenile trauma, countrywide fawning plus bestest bestest downtroddenest fans Everton - mostly Bailey and Heath Spurs - traditionally the most deluded (Villa, Everton and West Ham mentioned in dispatches) Newcastle - newly listed this season, ridiculous levels of carping and bullshit since recent takeover Not bothered about the rest to be honest.
  3. Used to have a lot of time for Newcastle supporters but many seem to have lost their heads since being bought out by the Saudis - whining and delusion almost reaching Liverpool or Spurs standards. Best response is for Saints to convincingly take three points off them and I think we will, a small contribution towards sending them down for some much needed self-reflection.
  4. It’s coming home…
  5. Would imagine Jim Ratcliffe, full of Christmas cheer and new year optimism, is as keen to get this done as Saints fans. He has to make sure that resurgent Ralph has adequate time to spend the £50m January transfer kitty to underpin the Euro place push.
  6. Good club man Dave Merrington, and Saints through and through, it's nice to have characters with links to the club. Also nice that in his final stint with Solent they've let his great grandson do the commentary alongside him for the last couple of games.
  7. Broja on. Come on Saints!
  8. Offside you Spurs bastards!
  9. 1-1 or 2-1 Saints with a last half hour like West Ham, the Alamo. Bizarrely optimistic.
  10. Get in, always nice to win at West Ham - well done Saints! Merry Christmas lads.
  11. Is it managed by Dennis Rofe?
  12. With Ramsdale, shows you what a really good intelligent keeper can do! Neimi gave us that type of dynamism. Young side with some promising footballers but Saints look out of ideas whenever the tide turns. Think we will stay up if we avoid further Brighton style implosions, but by the skin of our teeth.
  13. Awww bless...
  14. Saints lucky to be just three nil down at half time with Lewis looking shell-shocked. Willy comes on and plays a blinder whilst Adams, Armstrong, and Broja pull it back to 3-3. Ref sticks on six minutes of injury time and in minute ninety-five awards the Arse a penalty, which Willy duly saves. Kicking the ball up field in triumph, it hits goal hanging Redmondo on the back of the nut and loops into the Arsenal goal. Something like that, got to be worth putting a tenner on.
  15. Kelvin could be in for a Christmas bonus by the sound of it.
  16. Plus a bona fide nutcase! What's not to like.
  17. Spot on! For me they will always be the premier shit houses bar none!
  18. When we appeared to have energy and momentum a few years ago Leicester City and a lot of other provincial clubs wanted to emulate us, since then roles have been fully reversed due to their determined ownership and relative stability. If we get decent owners of that ilk, of course we should be looking to win pots and improve infrastructure. A successful Saints side would fill a 40k stadium for home games, and not be in the midlands.
  19. Steady on!
  20. Good post, with some interesting perspective. On that basis, if we had an on song Ings or Beattie per se in this side this season things would likely appear much brighter. Overall its the lack of clinical finishing that's killing us along with the regular chance of a goalkeeping blunder at the other end. I know that's patiently obvious to us as fans, but you would hope that any new owner on the horizon would see that too.
  21. It was written by Jeffrey Archer!
  22. Likely to be Heaton, Caballero, or Scott Carson. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose.
  23. All the corporate social kudos of a creche run by Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris. Come on INEOS, surely you can knock up some effective pesticide.
  24. His nickname is Michael Lee Chinny Reckon.
  25. Correct.
