  1. But can Forster dance?
  2. I A look at the upcoming fixtures would suggest we have a chance to be breathing down their scrawny scouse neck over the next few weeks. After a great season, the reflection must be that currently have too small a squad for sustained top four and a truly great season now, would be finishing above Pochettino and Rogers in fifth. I would f*cking love that.
  3. Cherries...
  4. We can't compete with them in three main areas - revenue, fan delusion, or boardroom delusion (the latter two categories only bettered by the History Boys at Liverpool). They are an upgrade on Saints in the way that Jimmy Savile is an upgrade on Simon Mayo. Arguably, they've gone backwards in the last three years, hopefully this trend will continue until they disappear up their own *rses - http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2012/jun/16/tottenham-hotspur-delusions-grandeur
  5. Lenor or Comfort?
  6. Swansea want him as well, and Hull...
  7. The hairdo of a Cornish sex offender...
  8. What happens in the summer will depend largely on what happens between now and the end of the season. Wherever we finish we look resigned to losing Schneiderlin, Clyne, and Toby, in other words our best three players. The Rodriguez situation is unclear, but the noises coming from his 'representatives' suggest he may angle for a move, and Wanyama is going to get some serious attention - so it's crucial that the rot stops and we avoid free fall into mid table, stay in the top six and look competitive. If we finish weakly, and end up between 8-10 it's going to be very difficult to retain quality and attract quality, and it's highly unlikely that perceived targets like Clasie, would fancy it. Like many, I agree that this season has been a wonderful surprise, but I think it's surprised the Saints Board as much as the fans, and we needed to consolidate with a central striker in January (no brainer) to have a chance to really mix it in the top four. So much to play for before we can think about what's going to be another hectic and interesting summer.
  9. This has cheered me right up. Any chance of getting him back for the run in...
  10. OJ All are realistic given our season so far, but we need to find the spark that's been missing for the past few weeks and build momentum again. With a fully fit / available squad it's certainly possible, I think we've greatly missed both Toby and Bertrand in terms of the balance and confidence they bring to the side.
  11. Given where we were in the middle of the transfer window, not recruiting another central striking option was either cavalier or foolhardy, either way I think it's going to haunt us for the rest of this season. Players looked tired today, and towards the end disinterested, and it does feel rather like last year when we started to tail off. That's three games now where the earlier incarnation of this side would have wiped the floor with them. Koeman needs to ring the changes...
  12. Based on the mawkish obsession with tragedy and the historical obsession of footballing supremacy! Turkish kindly pointed out the Liverpool Echo's recent claim on the Titanic disaster the other day - a new one on me, but certainly a case to add to the pantheon of pity. It wouldn't surprise me if the bubonic plague, Spanish Flu, and the Holocaust all had their roots in Merseyside! Hang on http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2066155/Hitler-spent-months-living-Liverpool-flat-later-destroyed-Luftwaffe.html
  13. Statistics aren't everything. I bet historically Liverpool has had the highest suicide rate, in Europe, if not the world!...
  14. More like maybe (Barmby not Barnes), miss, and meltdown! Positive spin from the Self-Pity City Echo, whatever next?! Hopefully we can stuff them tomorrow so they can get back to the endemic wrist slashing...
  15. Yup! That about sums it up...
  16. An utter disgrace! I would hope that Saints fans, finding themselves in a similar situation would chant 'we are Southampton, we are multiculturally inclusive' whilst ushering civilians onto the train...
  17. The plane Mr Rorke, the plane!...
  18. Bettered only if you could superimpose Lallana and Lovren noshing him off!
  19. If it has to happen I would refer you to my idea for a banner for Anfield on the opening day - Lallana, Lovren, and Lambert's miserable heads vertical, with the legend 'We mugged you, yeah, yeah, yeah!' It's a thought, possibly an infantile one, but it's the thought that counts ;-)
  20. Or at the very least a sex life ending injury!
  21. He will get a well deserved rough ride, if he plays. I hope it causes PTSD and his destiny as Liverpool's new Nick Barmby is unfulfilled. Utter c*nt!
  22. As insane as it sounds, after being in the top four for most of the season on merit, to drop out in the final furlong would be gutting. That said, a fifth place finish above Ted Rodgers and Penochino would soften the blow immensely...
  23. Matsui or Binatone, no pressure...
  24. * beaten
  25. Bloody Spurs beating Arsenal and will go above us if things stay the same. Need a win today - COYR!
