  1. Good summary. The bottom line is that they are unwilling or simply cannot afford to pay the going rate for our desirable players anymore, and that's that. Levy's attempts at sharp practice, make Spurs look cheap and they are. Of course they are 'bigger' than us, with a more impressive history, but we are also amongst the top 20-25 clubs worldwide in terms of revenue, so to refer to us as a 'little club' is more than patronising, it's idiotic. As last season, the best thing for football would be for one or two of the well-supported provincial clubs like ourselves, Stoke, or Swansea to replace Spurs or Liverpool in the top six - best for football and good for the soul!
  2. Indeed it was. His international career has been downhill ever since. Pie faced turd!
  3. The years have not been kind to her...
  4. I think I might have ****ged Ronald in around 1986! What a way to find out!
  5. And they are welcome to one another, Batman! Underachieving Liverpool are pretty much the template for the underachieving FA. Good fit for Lollana!
  6. When he signed for Liverpool, a Scouse mate asked me my opinion on how his Anfield career would progress - "Barmby rather than Barnes" was my reply, and I'm sticking by that! He will fade at Liverpool then fade from football, and amen to that! Wouldn't want him back at any cost!
  7. Better and better every season and Champions League within five years is where the bar has been set, by Les - http://www.90min.com/posts/2112318-les-reed-southampton-want-champions-league-football-within-5-years
  8. He reminds me of a less capable George Lawrence, Targett on the other hand, Trigger from Only Fools and Horses. FFS!
  9. I think that there is more to this than a poor result, we've had many seasons of positivity in recent years but something is just not right at the moment; on and off the park. The Koeman brothers and the coaching staff look despondent and the players a group of individuals at best. We have good players coming back, but could do with signing some genuine first team options like Van Dijk and Austin, but I don't think we will.
  10. Nice to see the Spurs fanbase once again pushing Liverpool for the 'most deluded in football' award!
  11. You are looking at a top four side there, and if over this summer Van Dijk and Austin were added per se, it would be frightening. Hindsight is always 20/20, but what could have been...
  12. I for one am chuffed for the Cherries in getting two great results in their first two games in the top flight. We all know it won't last, and that their early momentum and feel good factor will fade, but credit where it's due! The main thing is they've got a cup final a week to look forward to until next May, and memories that will last a century...
  13. Bad time at Fulham with little defensive protection, but is obviously a very good keeper. Big, experienced, and growing in confidence, FF may struggle to get his place back when fit (a good thing for us). It's the third choice that fills me with utter dread.
  14. Those whispers are that Les is ON the game!
  15. Indeed similar. Would be interesting if we signed said Gonalons on a four year deal, and he kept Schneiderlin out of the French national side...
  16. Very good
  17. He'd be brilliant at that...
  18. Can you use it on shaving rash?...
  19. What odds on Lollana to Hull this time next year - the poor man's Nick Barmby
  20. A big lol from me (rare as rocking horse sh*t on here nowadays)!
  21. I saw him do this at Davos, he threw a pomegranate over an Alp. Arm like a traction engine!
  22. Reminds me of Deano too. Also a big unit and a bit of an old style centre half, which gives us options - sign VVD and centre back is probably our strongest position.
  23. Traditionally clearly not, as with the likes of Villa and Newcastle, but we should feel that we are a more attractive option at the present time; particularly for a centre half.
