Steve McManaman and Michael Owen are pretty poor and desperately biased towards anyone they played for/like. Crouchy is new to it but seems ok. Not sure what to make of Owen Hargreaves but I just find him irritating. Quite like that Benali chap though. Seems to hold similar views to my own...

Really? If true, it would leave us incredibly light in central midfield, where we are already light IMO. This can surely only be because we're starting to believe there's no hope of him ever signing a new deal and we're looking to get rid whilst the highest price is possible.

Really? It would be somewhat startling to loan in an injured player to accompany the 2 other injured players we already have unavailable to us in that position.

So we can bemoan missing out on a player most people on here had written off already, if we get pipped to the post by another interested club right at the death.

I hope he starts tomorrow, particularly with Shane Long injured. I just feel he needs a run of games in a side playing well, then it will come good for him and the goals will flow. His previous run, at the start of the season, was as a lone striker, in a side (relatively new to him) not playing well at a higher level than he was used to.

Keane had a number of people he really didn't get along with. Alfie Haaland would be another and look what Keane did to him. They were on the same team but I believe Le Tiss and Carlton Palmer weren't exactly close...
