  1. West Ham sign a Czech midfielder: West Ham to sign Tomas Soucek for £13m from Slavia Prague - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51285153 In the story, it also says they've submitted a bid for a player believed to be a right-back. Surely not going to be pipped to KWP at the last as believe they were interested too? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  2. Arsenal considering a move for Cedric according to the Telegraph... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/01/28/mike-mcgraths-transfer-notebook-arsenal-consider-move-southamptons/ Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  3. So we can bemoan missing out on a player most people on here had written off already, if we get pipped to the post by another interested club right at the death.
  4. I hope he starts tomorrow, particularly with Shane Long injured. I just feel he needs a run of games in a side playing well, then it will come good for him and the goals will flow. His previous run, at the start of the season, was as a lone striker, in a side (relatively new to him) not playing well at a higher level than he was used to.
  5. Leeds linked with Britt Assombalonga in the press today. Maybe they've moved on now and this latest Che rumour is just the press catching up with old events? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  6. Palace have signed Scott Banks from Dundee Utd: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51203216 Young player and I pretty sure we were rumoured to be interested at some point?
  7. Bowyer v Dyer, both of Newcastle, was quite funny. And of course there was ex-Saint Eyal Berkovic heading John Hartson's boot in training at West Ham... Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  8. Keane had a number of people he really didn't get along with. Alfie Haaland would be another and look what Keane did to him. They were on the same team but I believe Le Tiss and Carlton Palmer weren't exactly close...
  9. Incredible turnaround by Ralph and the team. 19th with 8 points after 12 games, now 9th with 31 points after 24 games. Sticking with the manager has really worked for us. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  10. Norwich, Bournemouth & Brighton going for me. The latter have plummeted since getting excited and bizarrely giving Potter a new contract after only a few months. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  11. When was the last time we won 4 League games away in a row? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  12. Excellent stuff again. Should be applying to the league to play all games away! Hopefully the 2nd half against Wolves to was just a blip. Amazingly could've been 6th if we'd won that one! But happy with 9th seeing where we were a couple of months ago... Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  13. Assume we may suddenly now need a RB with Cedders off injured?? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  14. (Predictably) to the Addams Family theme tune: Che Adams needs a song, He looks very strong, He's scored less than Shane Long, The Adams goal machine Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  15. And there certainly is. Loads of green spaces around the stadium, which is probably the reason members are now being enticed with the £10 ticket deal...
  16. Selling Bertrand without another experienced LB on the books would be an impressive new level of incompetence. Not sure I can see that happening TBH. I hope...
  17. Was this the game where Alan McLoughlin scored & played really well & pretty much convinced Chris Nicholl to buy him to make him our first £1m player? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  18. Shame really. If he was from Peru, maybe a few marmalade sandwiches would've sorted him out.
  19. Good. I still think he will come good eventually and a goal this weekend against Wolves would be a good way to start!
  20. The thought had very much crossed my mind...
  21. It's actually just the ST holders who get tickets for a tenner. Members pay the same as those who buy when on general sale. There wasn't even a concession to the new Saints+ level of membership.
  22. I've not seen them. But we have asked about away allocations in previous meetings. What I'd like to ask is whether they'd be willing to share their stats with the panel (and maybe even more broadly) so we can understand the approach they take. I'm a data analyst by trade and this sort of data is something I'd feel more than comfortable reviewing!
  23. Yes, members and others pay double for this one. I do think ST holders should pay less but double the price of the opposition too is a bit harsh and may put people off (perpetuating the problem with take up IMO). Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  24. We have away ticket allocations as an item for our next meeting with the club on 4 Feb. I will make sure this extends to Cup allocations at home as this seems daft. I do know they keep stats on take up for away games, in particular, and then base what they take on historic take up plus in season take up. Sadly after the years of Puel, Pellegrino & Hughes the data they use probably reflects lower recent demand. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  25. Alex Crook joins the 'Che to stay' party... Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
