Every chance we still look elsewhere in the summer despite Solak's comments. He was hardly going to say that Juric will be replaced in the summer as that kills any incentive for Juric and just creates more uncertainty for the players. Hard to see how he can be kept on if we dont win a game or two the rest of the season, despite the demoralised team hes inherited.
-
Exactly my thoughts. Young, up and coming manager, but not sure its what we need right now. Fans a bit more invested in him because he was here before obviously
-
Tbf the main leagues should just bin the January transfer window. It used to be exciting many years ago but now clubs are reluctant to sell unless they have a replacement lined up and prices are sky high compared to the summer window. You just end up blowing the heap on the likes of Tall Paul, Sully and Orsic. If there is somebody that Juric badly wants and its possible, then yes lets make the effort. Otherwise save the £ for the summer
-
Think most fans would support that approach, problem is Juric will be pushing for the Board to back him in this window. Hes effectively interviewing the rest of this season for the job next season, and will be telling them that he cant show his worth unless he has a few players that suit his system/style of play

Who will never recover? The fans? We have enough dismal records as it is - its just another to add to the growing list. Or if you're worried by what other fans might think then perhaps supporting Saints isnt for you. Maybe that's just me, but I've been worn down watching enough shite for the past 5 years If you mean the players - many will be at new clubs next season and will have forgotten about how bad they were - they're just after their next payday.

Really dont get the clamour for Rohl. Yes he may be familiar with the club, but he left us in August 2019 and a lot has changed since then. By the summer he will have a grand total of 18 months managerial experience. Is that what a team who will be expected to get promotion needs? He may be familiar with the Championship, but again only 18 months of experience. Yes he's turned Wednesday's fortunes around, but if they dont make the playoffs (which is unlikely anyways) then it matters little. Wasnt RM hammered for having not achieved anything when he was appointed our manager. Sure Selles turned Reading around and may do similar with Hull, but 95% of our fans would never have him back as manager. We can do much better imo. And fwiw I wouldnt appoint Juric either - he is wedded to 5 at the back, a system which is not sustainable long term in the PL.

Hes performing better than Bree and THB this season, and I dont want Stephens anywhere near the starting 11 after what hes done this season. So by the process of elimination and given Juric plays a back 3, you're left with Bednarek, ABK and Wood. Hes also our top scorer this season 😂😂. He may not be good enough for the PL, but then we're in very short supply of anybody who is good enough

As much as SR have had a disaster, they have been committed in investing in our Academy teams. The approach at youth level has changed considerably in recent years, for all clubs. Yes you may have a Tyler Dibling that has been at the club since they were a kid and made it all the wsy to the first team, but it is now more about identifying the best 15/16/17/18 year olds at other clubs and trying to scoop them up. We've signed the likes of O'Brien Whitmarsh, Akachukwu, Dipepa, MacLeod, Traore, Kayi Sanda and Takaoka in recent years. Pretty much all of them youth internationals.
-
Would love to. Not sure Juric knows what 4 at the back is though. Has he ever played it in his managerial career?
-
The back 3 of THB, Bednarek and Bree (wtf) isnt working - conceded 3 today, 3 against Forest, 3 against United and I think we played Taylor there in the second half against Brentford and we proceeded to concede 4. Can we go with Bednarek, ABK and Wood in the next game please. Also given the contributions of Archer, AA and Onuachu this season, would it be so bad to give Ballard minutes for the rest of the season. We might want to rely on him next season so the experience (even in a shite team) will do him the world of good. Would like to see us line up against Ipswich as follows Ramsdale ABK Bednarek Wood KWP Les Fernandes Welington Gronbaek Ballard Sulemana Its not as if anybody other than Fernandes and maybe Bednarek warrant their spots
-
We have Ballard (19), Dipepa (18), Akachukwu (18), MacLeod (18), Ehibhatiomhan (19), Robinson (17) and Oyekunle (18) as striking options in the youth setup who would be ahead of Pitts right now
-
Good chance Juric matches Paul Jewell and Terry Connor's 0% PL win record at this rate. I know we've a really shite team, but I honestly expected us to put up more of a fight than this. Pathetic
-
No Ramsdale. Double figures incoming
-
Whats the odds on a 0-9 I wonder. Newcastle looking to bounce back after a poor result against Bournemouth. They've also had our number since the Saudis came in (before that, Newcastle at home used to be a comfortable win for us). We're, well, very poor and will be missing Ramsdale (possibly), Dibling and Sulemana. Great. All I ask is for us to still be in the game after an hour and who knows what could happen Ramsdale 🤞🏼 THB Bednarek Wood KWP Les Aribo Manning Fernandes Onuachu Archer
-
Fernandes was pretty much the same price and has done alright
-
Have never cared what fans of other clubs think of us, we've set enough dismal records as it is. But to not amount at least 12 points out of a possible 114 points would be an utterly shameful record to possess. Never thought we'd see that Derby record under threat, but here we are.
-
Also linked with Glen Kamara (DM), formerly of Leeds and Rangers. Another Rennes player, like Gronbaek who seems to be surplus to requirements since Jorge Sampaoli came in

First Championship game - August
-
Even Amorim acknowledged that we tired in the last 20 and had to take our best players off. Hope they're back in tomorrow morning to do the bleep test. Fat cunts
-
Smallbone - good player in the Championship, pish poor in the PL. The problem is that you could say the same about 6/7 of our players. Any new DoF has their work cut out
-
Lemina being disruptive again. Guy is clearly an idiot
-
If he wanted to sign a new contract with us he would have done so already. Being a free agent means he can get a bigger pay day as clubs arent paying a fee for him.
-
They only met on Tuesday to discuss targets. It will probably be next Tuesday before somebody picks up the phone to another club. In all seriousness, I would be surprised if we had any incomings. Would be content with a window where we sold Sulemana, Onuachu, KWP, Taylor and loaned out BBD

What entertaining take? Im from NI and was merely pointing out how well Shea has done for us.
