I'd be very surprised to see the likes of KWP, THB, Downes, Aribo, AA and Adams on the pitch

Well done to Ipswich, an incredible achievement. Obvious comparisons with us in 2012 with the back to back promotions. Might be biased, but our team was much stronger. Rickie Lambert or Kiefer Moore, Adam Lallana or Wes Burns, Morgan Schneiderlin or Massimo Luongo 🤔. Ipswich have been very average defensively, but their attacking style and resilience has made the difference. Would like to see them hold their own in the PL, but they'll need some excellent recruitment just to compete, such is the gulf between the top of the Championship and lower half of the PL right now
-
Makes no difference to us. Yes it would be good to win and not go into the playoffs off the back of 4 straight defeats. But we also dont need to risk any injuries to some of our starters. McCarthy Bree Stephens Bednarek Meghoma Smallbone Charles Edozie Rothwell Fraser Mara Not matter what the Ipswich result is in midweek, Leeds will still have a chance at automatic. They'll beat us and I've got a feeling that they'll nick 2nd place
-
19 goals conceded in our last 10 games is a joke for a team eyeing promotion. 22 more than Leicester, joint 8th worst defence in the league. Could you imagine how many we would concede in the PL should we get there and employ this same style. RM deserves most of the criticism but questions also need to be asked of the likes of Calderwood. Two defenders in their day and we cant defend for shit
-
"Players who fight and care will play" Thats Jack Stephens nailed on for the remainder of the season, likely at RB too 🤦🏽♂️
-
Automatic was gone already, but the zero reaction to Saturday's shit show and our mentality when we faced some adversity gives me little hope for the playoffs. Hope I'm wrong but defensively we have been a shambles for a while. If teams can frustrate us long enough, its game over as we'll always gift teams chances, especially from crosses Management and players need to take a serious look at themselves after that. Pathetic
-
Defensively Leeds are pish, a bit like us. Would love to see us deny them automatic in the final game and then do them at Wembley
-
We brought Colin Calderwood in earlier in the season. After a noticeable improvement in our defensive performances when he came in, we quickly reverted to poor defensive lapses
-
I thought it almost nailed on that we would get WBA, didnt realise Norwich had crept up on them
-
While they havent met expectations, at least Brooks and Rothwell have contributed something. Sulemana and Mara are a waste of two squad spots
-
About as sickening as the late Ipswich winner, late Boro equaliser etc etc. We gave ourselves an outside chance of automatic promotion again, but ultimately we're exactly where we deserve to be in the league. Not killing teams off and conceding silly goals is whats cost us time and time again
-
Very good at recruiting City kids and loan players. Not sure that'll cut it at United. Hopefully we can get a replacement in before the summer
-
Still think Lumley is the better option. Bit odd that McCarthy hasnt featured all season and now hes been thrust in. Yes he has PL experience, but its not as if Lumley is short of experience himself. All that being said, if McCarthy helps us keep a few clean sheets and gets us over the line for automatic, I'll take back all my criticism from the past few years
-
Not over, but still think that horrible goal we gifted Ipswich at the death will cost us in the end
-
You would have looked fine in goal tonight
-
Automatic was done and dusted after Ipswich. Win on Saturday and we'll have put ourselves firmly back in the mix. Leicester and Leeds with tough games on paper and Ipswich not playing. A chance to seize the initiative and set up a huge game next Tuesday.
-
Lovely. On to saturday
-
Can we just have a comfortable 3-0 win for once. Heart cant take much more of us throwing away leads, only to win it in at the death. Something a bit more straight forward would be nice
-
It would have been about 50/1 after the Ipswich defeat. That late goal could be the one that costs us
-
Cheer up fs
-
Alright dark cloud, just trying to spread a bit optimism fs 🙄

Ipswich still to play Boro (H), Hull (A), Coventry (A) and Huddersfield (H). Leeds still to play Blackburn (H), Boro (A), QPR (A) and ourselves. Points will be dropped, but that will likely apply to us as well. Cant see us winning the remaining 6. Gave up all hope after Boro but the teams around us are stuttering and it keeps pulling me back in 😵. Maybe Watford will put us out of our misery
-
Ipswich didnt take advantage of Leicester and Leeds slipping up. Hope we dont live to regret the end of the Ipswich and Middlesboro games. Things wouldnt be looking too bad if we hadn't dropped those 3 points
-
Yep being 9/10 points adrift has absolutely nothing to do with the poor defeats against Milwall, Hull, Bristol City and Ipswich, or the run of 4 defeats in September where we left ourselves in a massive hole. Its all because of that massive red herring that was our 22 game unbeaten run in the league 🤯
-
Even just denying Ipswich the win and our position would look so much better
