Hopefully they say you can only go to sports events if you've taken the vaccine, that should speed things up.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Jeremy Corbyn replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
He's a very good defender and footballer other than his lack of pace/agility. If that's not exposed (or he doesn't expose it himself) he's always looked decent. Maybe he's adjusted and learn how to avoid getting caught out so much. -
Can't imagine having to see loads of spotty teens shouting mush every few seconds can help with performance, maybe our fans staying away is a good thing.

3 is fine. I would allow at least one more in extra time, maybe even two to prevent the fatigue based slog it often turns in to.
-
He's looking in fine form and on the first team bench. Anyone know much about him? Next Shearer or Mark Paul?
-
I think a front two of Adams and Long, if we play to take advantage of their work rate, could be effective. Should win plenty of free kicks near the area.

Or make up a really worrying lie - make the truth look mild when it's revealed. That's how I manage my relationship.

Agree with what was said above, think it all comes down to Pennsylvania. That's why they're both campaigning so hard there.

Isn't the issue that DCL is primarily a target man/poacher, whereas Wilson is an off the shoulder, run in behind type. The latter is more successful against JV.

Sir Rickie Lambert or The King of the Scummers?
Jeremy Corbyn replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
Ings is clearly a better player, he's genuinely Champions League quality and we're lucky to have him. I'd struggle to say which is my preferred Saints legend though - probably still Rickie for now. -
Close to 13% conversion rate is insane.

Southampton 500/1 to win the Premier League
Jeremy Corbyn replied to Saint Keef's topic in The Saints
Still probably better odds then Southampton Football Club winning the 2020/21 premier league season. -
I'd be content with another 2 seasons with Ralph. 3 1/2 years would be the longest in my living memory and would leave us in good condition - as long as we don't cock up his replacement.
-
Redmond is clearly a confidence player, but in my opinion when he's not at his best he's still a good player (good in transition, good team player) and when he's at his best he's a superb player.

Saints vs Everton - Build up & Match Thread
Jeremy Corbyn replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Anyone know who's coming in for them? Kenny, Sigurðsson and Iwobi? -
I see Radhi has finished his secondment, anyone know if it was considered a success?
-
Great news! I can imagine there was/is a temptation to sell him at his peak (£50/60m?), however, having him as a talisman for the next few years will be huge and should be worth much more than that.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Jeremy Corbyn replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
He's decent on the ball, does well carrying it forward and picking out a pass - which is a useful added dimension to the attack. As mentioned he's very slow to get back, will just need to ensure that Diallo/Romeu is covering him. -

Funny how our historic recruits seem more impressive with Ralph as manager. I suspect Messi might have looked pretty poor under MoPo. -
Playing a defensive formation and then having Mount as one of the forwards really is as depressing as it gets.
-
There must either be a personality clash or GS feels he's weak in a critical area in this boring style of football - otherwise I don't get it, he's in red hot form and was MotM against Wales!
-
We've had some success there in recent seasons and I still remember the 4-2 from 20ish years ago fondly. It's almost impossible to say, both teams are fairly kamikaze in their approach so it really could go either way - but I'm feeling confident after a couple of solid performances, 3-1 Saints.
