  1. Got to be Russell Martin. Best manager we’ve had since the previous one.
  2. The diss is focused solely on old grumpy men. Perfect spot is right here.
  3. Judge them by games against Bournemouth previously and Leicester coming up, not Arsenal. Crap players will always find the extra percent against the top teams - as we saw in our last Premier League season. It’s against the smaller teams where our performance matters.
  4. Don’t want to overreact… but… anyone who voted no isn’t learning from the last relegation season. We need a good replacement early - last time we waited too long when the options were available and was left with Jones. Moyes is available and he’d be my choice.
  5. Lovely man is THB
  6. 0-2 Saints, we go on to win the best team in the south league. Goals - Kepa (O.G.), Lallana.
  7. Champagne at the ready
  8. 1) I didn’t say he did. I merely replied to the comment that captain JWP wouldn’t let this happen. 3) I don’t care about entertainment as long as we actually start to get results. The problem is we are boring and losing.
  9. Got to give it to Archer surely. He’s our best bet of a goal from the spot.
  10. Excellent, only question mark would be Archer.
  11. We ended our last Premier League season on a 13 game winless streak with him as captain. He may well have done better in an attacking position in our current team - his safe passing in any defensive position is enough to bore anyone to death - but he isn’t a massive change.
  12. Have you seen ours?
  13. Is that really what you take from this? Other than right leaning parties would essentially choose neither “don’t know” but left wing parties really want communism. 26% of Reform would rather Fascism - Over 50% in all Lib Dem, Green, Labour voted communism instead of just don’t know 🤣
  14. No, we must give them another. 2-0 is their kryptonite.
  15. If only we had a big striker to hit in the box.
  16. 2-0 and making Ten Hag Manchester United look like Real Madrid. Started well but same old same old.
  17. Mistakes could be avoided through a better balance in defence. This would mean disposing of a centre half, instead opting for a flat back 4. Bring a proper left back into the team (C. Taylor) - KWP is good but his use of the right foot, cutting inside, is inevitably leading to us facing inwards and more passes into the defence. Not only is this not needed; it is leading to more possession for the error prone Bednarek and THB in recent weeks. This would mean sacrificing one of Suga or KWP, unless you wanted to play the latter higher up.
  18. Really sh*t, well done.
  19. The 2008 summit I mentioned was specifically on NATO expansion into Ukraine, not states which had decoupled from Russia long before politically - in 2004 and had since joined the EURO. Culturally of course, like I have said, the comparison between their refusal on grounds to joining NATO / EU is completely different to Ukraine, which is still in the Russian sphere of influence (religion, people’s, language; a full century before the countries you cited) Aggressive expansion - though I don’t know where the word “aggressive” came from - would stop if the West would have left the situation alone previously by not consistently calling for Ukraine to join years before. The benefit of Ukraine joining NATO and the EU ceteris paribus is only based on Russia itself - a modern day pseudo-Containment made to antagonise through western influence. What other benefit is there? Would be absurd to believe this is simply because nice nice Ukraine (who reached a record 104/180 on the anti corruption index last year) wish for free markets like the papers and Boris Johnson wish to believe.
  20. You can’t seriously be comparing the historical ties between Russia and Ukraine to that of those 3 countries.
  21. Hardly a just comparison. NATO expansion clearly did play a part in the Russia-Ukraine war. Clinton should’ve played a larger role in getting Russia onside, instead choosing to continue as enemies. Putin, who said as such in 2008 (that further expansion would lead to his want to invade), was ignored. Farage is right. Farage also says Putin was at fault and a tyrant wanting to invade. The two opinions can go together. Ukrainians I know who have come into my uni have the same opinion as this.
  22. I don’t know what effect these men will have upon the enemy, but, by god, they frighten me.
  23. I believe I remember him from training with a Botley based football team eight or so years ago now. He was very kind and easy to talk to. I’m sorry for your loss, may he rest in peace.
  24. Does that count as an assist?
