  1. In his perfect world of upward trajectory, he entertained thoughts of Wilcox taking him to Manchester United. Rangers, despite revenues, is a big club and gave him access to Europe. So, he's technically still on the up. He's got 2 European ties to leverage for his next post.
  2. Tomorrow's news...today! 5000 charity workers arrested in anti terrorism swoop Dr Razia Shariff, the chief executive of Kent Refugee Action Network (KARN) told reporters "I was just holding up a leaflet saying " I oppose forced migration. I support KARN, when I was surrounded by 5 heavily armed officers." "Where there are leaflets," said home secretary Shabana Mahmood, "there are placards and access to the dangerous tools of terrorism like felt tips, and paint. Our ever-decisive PM has taken quick action to remove violent stationary from our society, by adding all migrants charities onto the proscribed terrorist list."
  3. When Martin leads them to 10 in a row, 50000 will claim to have been there to support the chosen one.
  4. Bravo, Sir! Pioneer Martin could be the one to finally push through those evolutionary/ cultural barriers, elevating us all into a new realm of perception and support of our fellow Human. Those mobs are getting loud, so I hope it happens soon. Fortunately, there's not been a witch burning in Glasgow for...gosh...it must be weeks now. The ducking stool is all the rage (see Raskin's visit to Loch Lomond above).
  5. Guess Raskin's definitely not making the squad now.
  6. I know! I immediately sent on a strong worded e-mail, demanding they throw off the shackles of old school measures of success, like points, and embrace the new, nuanced marks of a philosophical event, such as possession % and most 5 yard passes.
  7. Beeb on Why Can't Martin's Rangers win football matches. More than just a picture of Russ, and we get a mention. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c749q8ej58ko
  8. Our empathic, thoughtful man manager who was once frozen out for speaking up strangely doesn't mind freezing out those that criticise the approach. Admittedly, there are degrees to what gets someone dropped. Raskin, who has had previous times of difficulty with a few managers has rumours of everything from leaking team news, leaking team news then refusing a move, being difficult with Martin. Not to mention his dad chipping in.
  9. 3 weeks. 3 departures. Since this was the director of political strategy, things might actually improve.
  10. I was going to say "doomed to fail there." But that's not true. It was certainly a challenging option, both for himself and Rangers. But there were opportunities there too. Rangers were drifting further and further away from Celtic, and were miles away last season. They had a squad requiring an overhaul, and a very limited budget to do it on. Martin, like Ralph and Poch sells his approach on getting more out of the team, than relying on just individual talent. He moved up, in terms of league position, if not league with MK Dons and Swansea, and got us promoted. He had a shocker in the PL, but the SPL is quite a way off that. He could move into a team expected to get 65% possession. Surely, he'd know that going in and adjust accordingly? Surely after the last few seasons he'd focus recruitment on the must have roles for his system to have a chance? Unfortunately not. Still playing across the back, against sides 20 yards back hoping for a counter. Failed to build a quick transition team operating further up the pitch, never mind his usual start point. There's a first eleven there, but it's one that's going to get bullied, trapped in indecisiveness and struggle to punish opponents, under his current system.
  11. Darn my trademark choice of headwear. Recognised again.
  12. I was wondering. It would have made you stand out from the rest of us. So, I thought I would have remembered. 🙂 Thanks for checking again. 🙂
  13. I was going to put a laughing emoji. But now that SOG has exploded the myth of "You would have us believe that you are actually an even handed decent bloke", it's like I don't know you at all. You're already equated with "the morons throwing firebombs at hotels housing asylum seekers or lobbing bricks at the police." What more does SOG know? I might want to be a UK ambassador one day, so it's important to know early on. What's that? He's a bellend who missed the point of your post? Oh, as you were then.🙂
  14. Then everyone leans over the side to help, only to find your "something in the water" call referred to Jaws. Lots of icey stares from the survivors after that.
  15. I know there were a lot of players who needed to move on, but I don't think we have a Peter, do we? 🙂
  16. Toothless, richer, championship level outfit gets draw against slightly less toothless, but still championship level, visitors. Josh Murphy made most of our forward players look like lumps. AA being an exception when he came on, and Fraser's work rate.
  17. Or two, if they're willing to take them, plus come cash. 🙂
  18. More that the factions already inherent in all groups are vying for control. Labour's left and right have been at war for ages now. I read a passing headline suggesting that the frontrunners for deputy are more on Starmer's side of things. So no surprise to see those on the wrong side of their political purge look to reset the balance. Also no surprise to hear moans from backbenchers, who always feel unloved because they're not running things. Knives out for Morgan McSweeney as someone they as behind d things they don't like. Starmer presenting his opponents with open goals when economic growth has faltered gives them plenty of encouragement.
  19. He has the emotional responses of a spoiled 4 year old. So eone's put a giant toy truck to build him things in front of him. Of course he's going to be distracted. Had the truck not being there, I'm sure we'd have got another whole sentence, before he talked about himself again.
  20. I'm much the same offline as on. For example, the better line was "I'm just as awesome offline as I am on here." But it's an effort to summon my inner ego. Although reading a few Turks posts means I can imitate it. 🙂 Since swearing was mentioned, with the notable exception of my work laptop, I don't offline. So, it would be weird for me to do it here.
  21. Before I continue reading A Place in the Sun.... I agree the point in the first video concerns aptitude over ethnicity. The second specifically calls for as few gun deaths as possible. But what remains can't be used to overturn the 2nd amendment. So, the list of shocking statements is out of context and flawed. However, both of the clips are starters in deeper debates. The first on everything from access to education through institutional racism to appropriate entry qualifications for jobs. The second on everything to support infrastructure such as physical and mental health, through education and economics to discussions about gun access, lobbies and the reasons for the 2nd amendment. Hopefully, lots of his debates covered those questions and weren't just swatting away a queue of people with the surface level. It's a shame there won't be any new ones thanks to some gutless murderer.
  22. Although points for hoisting that grand piano above Hypo's door. 🙂
