Haven't trawled through all 15 pages but a late night and somewhat drunken song suggestion... The vapors - Turning Japanese Chorus - Tadanari Tadanari Tadanari Tadanari scores goals I'll get my coat!

In all honesty I think I am responsible. I moved to Southampton from east Anglia in 2003 as I am a Saints fan. Was a season ticket holder for several years and witnessed two relegations. I moved away 16 months ago and we got promoted and are now top. Last Friday I went to my first home game in over a year (due to work commitments) and we lost. Many apologies folks, I'll be keeping away from now on!
-
I struggle to believe that people claiming to be "supporters" are so quick to criticise. At the start of the season most fans would have happily taken being mid table or above at new year and yet are moaning because now we are only top on goal difference! Every team has a blip at some point and I don't understand why, simply because we are Southampton, it shouldn't happen to us. Adkins and this squad got promotion last year when many folks were predicticting failure in the play offs. Adkins has come out today and said he wants to and thinks we can WIN the league. FFS why don't people stop moaning, trust in the manager and squad that have provided us with so many smiles and good times over the past 18 months.

I want us to go up as champs as got £20 @ 16-1 before the Leeds game. Now we are 6-4 favourites, with West Ham 7-4.

If that to55er gets the job, I am buying a Scotland shirt! A drunken bet made several seasons ago.
-
Definitely not. Got a bet with a Scottish pal that if Redknapp takes over, I will buy a Scotland shirt and support them till he goes!

I agree with Alpine. I have long lost interest in the English football team. Not through a lack of patriotism as I am a keen fan of the rugby team and cricket team. I think I am just fed up with Capello being boss and his dire brand of football. My interest started to wain once Sven got the job. The football is dull, the players are not fussed, disrespectful and generally poor role models and I can't wait for the rugby world cup to start.

It was always going to be a tricky transfer window once we sold AOC. Instantly clubs and players think we're minted and that we'll pay silly Leicester type money. Seeing as the majority of fans on this forum seem to think we'll finish mid table this season and simply consolidate our Championship status, I am confident that we have the squad to do this. I don't see the point in being held to ransom (like Maynard for 6M,) when better, proven players are going for less. Hopefully in January we will be sitting happily in the top half and may be able to strengthen then. If we had lost our first four matches then I would possibly be worrying. We haven't, we're sitting second, hence there's no need to panic.

Including SFC Steward Slapping a Fan (Video of Post-Match)
Scoobysaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Quite an embarrassing bunch of saints fans giving it the "Billy Big Balls" because they have got the police, police dogs and some stewards to protect them. Try that knobbish behaviour in the return fixture and with any luck they may get the kickin' they so clearly crave. -
I've got £20 at 16-1 for champions after Leeds. Now William Hill are offering 5-1!

£4m swoop for Burnley duo Rodriguez and Fox?
Scoobysaint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
As somebody stated on twitter. . . Doble to Bmouth, frees ups Ings to Burnley, resulting in Jay Rod to us! -
A tweeter who has a pretty good strike rate with rumours and transfers. Not always right but seems to know more than your average fan. He reckons we are gonna be spending pretty big over the next few weeks, hence he has backed us for the title!

Where is Jake Thompson playing now? Was at Exeter but think he may have joined Cheltenham. -
Midfielder French of Southampton, age of 21 years, will extend until 2014 with his club promoted to the English season in D2. (Photo press-Sports) "Morgan, why you ready to extend with Southampton where you came in 2008?" Because I am there feel well. There is a very good sports project, and the club is based on very sound bases. The President has big ambitions: he wants to climb the next season in first League. This is that seduced me. Here, I hope grow and, why not discover the elite. Southampton was still a few years before due to financial problems. But its infrastructures are those of the elite club. The club has it carried out therefore recruitment, to ride in 2012? The leaders were sold to Arsenal Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (international English for 18 years, conveyed hopes for 12 ME). It will allow them to return money to funds to recruit two or three elements. They want to hang dams late in the season. For now, it is second after beating Leeds 3-1 (1st j.). "I've progressed physically since my arrival." We can imagine that the Championship (English D2) is rather physical? Since my arrival, I have a year in Championship and two years in League One (D3). In Championship, it plays well with the ball, even if it is physical, as the answer to the contacts. League One... A is not of poets? There are good teams, but not poets! The essential was to get out of this division. It was done. I try to give me the means to not return to. I have physically progressed since arriving from Strasbourg. Why did you leave Alsace, at the age of 18? The Racing came down in L2. I felt that it would be hard to have time to play. In addition, it was time that I was there. Southampton, which was then in Championship, told me that he wanted me to find the Premier League. It has not happened like that, but I have not lost my time. There are youth who partent in major clubs, but evolve with the reserve and have no set time that I had. In addition, I was called in hopes by Erick Mombaerts, after making all selections of youth without interruption. I hope have shown that I have made progress. My ambition is to reach one day to the highest niveau

With respect to Cortese's wage. . . if he gets paid what he wants for AOC instead of what people want to pay then he has made his money for the next few years.

Dune, you really are a nasty piece of work aren't you. Totally unneccessary.

Not sure of the lyrics but Steve De Ridder fits in nicely with the chorus of Sing Hosanna. Something along the lines of: Steve De Ridder Steve De Ridder Steve De Ridder Scoring from the right Steve De Ridder Steve De Ridder Steve De Ridder In the red and white Tune:

Due to several posters seemingly only visiting the forum to antagonise and belittle everybody else's opinion, would it be possible to have a total ignore function? This would mean that you wouldn't even see when they have posted and you wouldn't have to read their drivel when requoted. It is only a small minority but it does have a detrimental impact on the forum as threads often drift off topic and instead into childish bickering and insults.
