  1. No it's not.
  2. Don't forget the free wifi!
  3. Yep, doesn't get any classier than wishing death upon the scorer of your winning goal in the cup final.
  4. Weren't you reading? It is a side which would have undoubtedly gone down as one of the game’s greatest!!
  5. The first ever world cup goal by a then current Saints player, i believe?
  6. You should also consider the implications of compound interest over 40-50 years. In summary - don't wait "a few years" to start paying in, each amount you pay in will be worth more than the next one come retirement.
  7. I think we need a more scientific analysis than this. Can you please rate each game separately, taking in to account quality of available squad, quality of opposition, home/away, fixture congestion, importance of competition and consider both overall performance as well as final result. Please also factor in the impact of a positive or poor run on team morale and how this will have affected the management skills required. Can you show all your workings, in order to demonstrate the full extent of the applied statistical rigour. Will check thread again tomorrow - thanks.
  8. Did you miss the MOTD montage of pardew's best touch line brawls then?
  9. Linesman doesn't know offside rule...
  10. No surprise, but we need to bring in someone better... Rickie isn't getting any younger, Osvaldo isn't coming back, Gallagher is still raw and unproven...
  11. Off to Leeds?
  12. JWP has featured in every league game this season. Apart from yesterday where we "only" had shaw, chambers and Gallagher.
  13. Can you ask your source please mate?

  15. This is exactly what I do when there are Saints players playing for their national team ... and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Far more interested in their individual performance than the overall game. Makes it harder when we have multiple internationals in the same match :-)
  16. That's what THEY want you to think.
  17. I think gaffer is a term used in broadcasting for an electrician or sound man or something
  18. Hopefully players approach it as a chance to "right a wrong". Think we can win this.
  19. You're right ... they dressed it up a little bit, but in the original bid proposal they wrote: 6.7 Academy Costs PST plan to maintain the academy at category three. The effectiveness and cost of the academy would then be closely monitored and reviewed throughout the first two seasons, with a decision made on the future of the academy by the beginning of the 2014/15 season. The forecasts show no cost in the 2014/15 season for the academy, as it is believed that the board will have decided the Academy is too costly to run by this point.
  20. Well they have to promote them soon ... they're winding up their academy in the summer (according to the loose collection of scribblings they stuck the title "business plan" on anyway).
  21. Made in China, presumably
  22. Digging around the prospectus and website again (what better way to spend an evening), there are several references to providing more detailed financial projections... From the prospectus... More detailed financial analysis can be found on http://www.communitypompey.co.uk. Following the link... What will our budget look like? Portsmouth Football Club can’t continue to lose money, nor do we believe it has to A summary of the finances appears in the offer document, and a more detailed set of financial projections with commentary will be added shortly. So how's this transparency thing working out? Does a Community Benefit Society have to publish its accounts? If so... when? Could be entertaining...
  23. http://www.communitypompey.co.uk/faqs/ Who can purchase community shares? Anyone! As long as you are over the age of 16. However, if you wish to buy a share for a young person see the answer to the question: Can I buy shares for my children, grandchildren or a minor? below Can I buy shares for my children, grandchildren or a minor? At present almost all Community Benefit Societies (like PST) have chosen to have a minimum age requirement to be a full voting member of 16 years old. Community Shares can only be held by full members so if an adult wanted to buy shares for say their Grandchild or son or daughter they would need to be held on their behalf by the adult until they reached the age of 16, with those shares being transferred to the minor when they reached the age of 16.
  24. "Ready for therapy l will be back soon !!"
