  1. Sensible.
  2. Marine Le Pen?
  3. He looks determined.... almost growling into the camera.
  4. One of those rare occasions where an English player represented good value.
  5. I think it is not quite a case of one or another as youngsters are still being blooded and are coming through, however there is the fact that our success has led to us losing our best English players which has through necessity required equally as able replacements. There is only a finite supply of English talent and a larger talent pool throughout the rest of the world... so it is inevitable that we are now bringing in more foreign blood. If the academy dried up I would worry, but our ethos of giving the kids a platform to progress means i'm not concerned. We are being responsible and self sustaining, much to the benefit of our domestic youngsters and the club's overall stature.
  6. A lot of Manchester United's off field weaknesses have come to the fore since Fergie's departure. Perhaps, just perhaps he walked into something utterly lacking compared to his previous experience and unwilling to change to suit his recommendations.
  7. He clearly isn't maxing out the options list.
  8. Have you learned nothing in the past 6 years!?
  9. Se'-drik, I believe. Sorry.
  10. Had read he was off to Sunderland.
  11. I will happily recommend 'The Strand' near Debenhams as a good pre/post match pub. Really friendly, relaxed atmosphere and convenient location just off the city centre.
  12. To quote a plastic Scouse from our factory floor. "How the f**k can Saints find all these players when we keep paying over the odds?" I like the assumption that because we are buying them they will be good.
  13. Join a more established side or never be first choice? F**k the national team.
  14. So yes, more then good money and that's without factoring in Promotion wage rise clauses. Incidentally, Joey Barton on £90k a week. Jesus wept.
  15. It will also mean they would have less to potentially offer any new player.... assuming they are needing to stick to a 'competitive' budget. One of the themes of Mike Ashley's management has been trimming costs in recent years. At QPR i'm also certain that Austin will have been on very, very competitive money already. So we would have to pay well regardless of our opposition for his signature.
  16. That does look better on the mannequin. It's growing on me.
  17. Bright? Early? Worm? It's going to be a bizarre yellow/sky blue/brown thing isn't it.
  18. I will happily hold up my hands as something of a luddite. I found him utterly bewildering to begin with and still somewhat comical (take his failed attempts at humour during the awards ceremony speech) yet, thankfully while he speaks a complete pile of fluff under his direction the club is thriving. The results speak louder then his clichés ever could.
  19. Yep. Such a shame. Imagine Andy Millman from Extras, when he is trying to fight above the material he has created. Not a tosser as such.... (Leave the vulgarities at the door....) Dame Ellen MacArthur. Shouldn't be a surprise, but as someone who had the mental strength to survive record breaking solo sailing she is single minded, abrasive, uncompromising and very difficult to like. But by christ you respect her.
  20. You print the T-Shirts, i'll found the protest group CB Fry..... off you go now.......
  21. I have no relatives with a season ticket, or friends that can reliably help. £25 puts me ahead of those who are not members or season ticket holders. I hope it will help, if not then it will be a one time purchase. Utterly scorning it without trying is however utterly pointless.
  22. If I can get access to games that I otherwise wouldn't have chance to attend then £25 is fair, whether or not that is the case I can assess at the end of the year.
  23. There have been games both home and away when even as a Season ticket holder last year I struggled to get tickets for (Extra tickets for home games, missing out on away tickets) because you needed to be so quick off the mark. Membership will give me a fighting chance for some of the home and away games I would like to go to, plus I do not mind paying £25 for that privilage. I can understand why some people would object to it but I have no such feeling.
