Why didn't Saintsweb Ltd save us from administration?

Why? She can't save us, she dead...... -
Why didn't The Directors Loan the Club some cash
Colinjb replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
They invested in the club to make money, not plough it in. It would have been a conflict of interest for them, especially as they had no more to spare for the purpose! -
Why didn't Crouch save us from administration?

Not offence, more annoyance that a stuck record can continue for so long. It no longer matters that you may have a point, that you continue to bang on for so long has rendered your novelty worthless. -

True, perhaps a bit far. Maybe 'acceptance' would have been a better term. -

Again, I admire your persistence, but really. I've had enough now. Is it possible to set an 'ignore' status to people on this forum? -

I admire your desire to ignore the reaction of the rest of the forum who consider you a joke and have treated this as such. However, no one will take you seriously. Give up. -

Why? It's all utterly irrelevant now. -
So Flavio's protest was as much an excuse to prove the legality of your own system as it was to protest the illegality of opposing team's ideas.

Fiorentina wern't the same when they folded and became Florentia Viola then.... until they re-established themselves, became Fiorentina again and reclaimed their Serie A status. Sorry 19, but I dissagree completely, there is too much precident of clubs folding or suffering total boardroom change, being perpetuated by the fans and emerging from the turbulence. Middlesborough Charlton Fiorentina The Skates Chelsea Leeds Leicester Coventry Parma Wimbledon (In the conference next year, bravo to them.) Spurs They all have suffered major upheaval and emerged. We will survive.

It was convenient, I liked the idea of buying british and had no idea what I was letting myself in for...... .... and like I said, I still miss the damn thing!

£500K Needed to Keep Going to the End of the Season
Colinjb replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
So your support for the institution will die due to your lack of respect for your fellow fans? And Man City was a poor, poor example I was trying to think of clubs where the board has more influence over their destiny then the fanbase potential. -
A recent sparing session with Nineteen Canteen has made me see a reason for a seeming split in the fans right now. 1) There are those that support the organisation that is Southampton FC, the board room activities and continuation of the regime that has historically existed, and: 2) Those that follow the community establishment that is Southampton FC, something that the local society follow, support and therefore it the club is based upon it, regardless of who is in charge. Where do you stand on this? I personally feel that '1' cannot exist without '2,' therefore if the current club folds during this administration period it won't matter, because due to the fans there will always be a club to support, a new entity will spring from it. I welcome other peoples viewpoints.

Then we are spilt by the idea of what the 'club' is. You judge it by the entity, which is a continuation of the past organisation. As far as i'm concerned, this organisation couldn't exist, or have sustained itself without it's fanbase. Sadly, the current media era has made fans less important, therefore fan rather then chairman dependant clubs like Forest, Wednesday and Us have fallen more by the wayside, whereas ones like Wigan and Man City are 'competitive' now. You identify with the entity, I identify with the community that make the entity traditionally possible. This could be quite a deep conversation topic if we are not careful. -
A 1996 Rover 115 SD. A car that took the best thing about the metro (it's handling and nice engines) and replaced it with the handling of a marshmallow due to the PSA diesel lumps weight and only slightly better fuel economy for the privilage. It hated cold mornings and often left me stranded, the stereo was ****e, it was rusty and the drivers seat had lost it's structural integrity. Yet somehow I miss it........

The club is better off without you if that's the case. As long as there is a Southampton Football Club perpetuated by the fanbase that followed this one, I will continue to be a fan, as will 90% of the support the club has. We have a hardcore of 12k or so that will follow Saints through thick and thin, that is our greatest strength right now. -
August Bank Holiday weekend 1995. A 1-1 draw with Leeds United, sat in the upper level of the west stand. Can't remember the scorers, just that the noise blew me away.

Me, financial reasons, Saints arn't the only ones who need to watch the pennies.

Yes, yes and yes again. I would give my eyes teeth to be a major player in the english game, even if it does mean having someone who doesn't really care for the club, more caring for success taking over.
