I would credit him as saving the club from oblivion. He has been the only person involved pre-Leibherr who actually put HIS money where his mouth and heart is.
Regardless of his merits as a chairman he deserves everyone's gratitude.
Regardless of their intention they set us back by a month in terms of preperations for this season.
Therefore whichever way you look at it, in our current position they damaged us.
Hope McLaren are further up the front. I have heard rumblings of their relationship souring with Mercedes, so it has to be good for them. (Having said that, when someone owns 40% of you, just how bad can a fall out be?)
Jakobsson was ok, but so far short of the player he needed to replace that his signing was rendered futile.
Couldn't believe that we had signed the same Callum Davenport who I had seen playing superbly for Coventry.
I bet it's the only film franchise in history where the 4th film is the best one.
Glad the last film was made though, the thought of finishing it all with Rocky V makes me shudder.
Would like to see the team line up like this:
GK: Kelvin
DR: Murty
DL: Harding
DC: Perry
DC: Thomas
MR: Thompson
ML: Mills
MC: Wotton
MC: Schneiderlin
S: Lallana
S: John
Still weak in the centre of the park, but as good a team as any right now. I do like the look of the back 4...
That we are being linked to players of any reputation at all is extremely refreshing, long may it continue.
It's great supporting a football club after being an eccentric's plaything for so long.
Oddly that is the area I believed it would work strongest..... Oh well, live and learn.
Sounds a very promising start though from Pards. Hope the lads get the hang of it post haste.
