  1. I am feeling a lot more positive about the new season now, than I would have been had Puel been given another year. Hopefully Les's Nobody is for Sale message will slow down the usual drivel from the gutter press and make for a more relaxed squad, with less distractions in the build up to the new season, with hopefully an injection of fresh players as well. Well I can dream can't I? :-)
  2. Yep with you on this one. Why would we want to sell an International Full Back who seems happy here and has potential to get even better? He is excellent on the overlap, a tactic which seems to suit the new bosses game plan.
  3. Love it!! Also, with us hopefully reverting to Poch's High Press tactics, looking forward to The Barry Gale stylee High Press Greeting when meeting fellow Saints Fans
  4. I would have loved him to stay 1 more season, but too much loss of trust and respect after his part in the Liverpool fiasco. No way can i see him staying and a good part exchange and cash deal is as good as we can hope for. At least we'd have a decent replacement in place. Any bids we make will be quoted silly money as they know we have the dosh. Also this will save us all the same hassle and bull$hit next summer
  5. Even Poundland? In my experience it seems the description list of each shaped, colour wrapped choccy in the box normally gets lost after 2 minutes.
  6. Whilst we are on the deep and thoughtful analogy path ..... “My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”. Lets hope we haven't been shopping in Poundland
  7. Delboy kept that secret well hidden until now
  8. That'll be The Radar Guys .... Squawk Ident :-) In house joke, the rest of you can just talk amongst yourselves or pay my fiver so I can PM
  9. Top work matey!! Glad to see the money invested in your training hasn't gone to waste
  10. Can't see anybody on our horizon who'd make VVD change his stance and willingly stay. So it's up to Les to stick VVD's nutsack in a vice and start tightening the grip to get VVD to apologise and play his part next season .. unless the 70 million cash of some decent player and I don't mean Mr Sacko Sh!te plus at least 50 mill materialises. Had to laugh at The Mirror saying VVD is staying as he plays a major part in Kit Release. Complete opposite, obviously airbrushed out as much as is humanly possible in my mind.
  11. I think I might know a few of These 70's questions
  12. Now there's a thought. How about having two managers,as they must get tired with 2 games in a week as well. Win 3-0 on Saturday Puell? .... tough t!tties .... you're dropped for our mid week game .... have some of your own medicine. :-)
  13. Getting cosy with Klippity Klopp in Blackpool without informing the club would be pretty damning IF proven to be true. Would be interesting to hear VVD's side of things.
  14. It is a fact that he removed SFC from his social media sites when the news broke, several of my fellow @dubaisaints saw it for themselves. Presumably after a few minutes when the Red Mist had died down, or more likely a phone call from his PR/Agent or even SFC, it was back in place. Not the actions I'd expect from The Team Captain, and we can only hope he sees the errors of his ways and puts in a decent shift if he is forced to stay with us for another season. It's the least he can do, after all the club have invested a fair bit in him with pay rise and time and money invested in his recuperation over the last 5 months. Hopefully (IF he has been meeting with the gurning piece of turd Klopp) he too can apologise to the club and fans for an error in judgement.
  15. Several of our crew saw that it was missing but reinstated a few mins later. We haven't seen the last of this for sure. Moral victory for us if he goes to anywhere but Liverpool I guess, but the damage has been done. Best we can hope is a season a la Morgan and Vic which is pretty much what most of us had expected. But is his heart in it, dream move denied, lack of trust from the top, captaincy likely to be taken away. I really hate Closed season weeks ... they bring more grief and heartache than any weekend defeats!!

  17. About time ..... let's hope they get a ban on buying anybody this season!!
  18. Let's all have a Meltdown, let's all have a Meltdown La lala la. Important dates to look forward to. June 14th ... Fixture List 2017/18 revealed. August 12/13th EPL Season starts. TBA 1 .... Puel resigns/gets sacked/announces he is staying. Let Meltdown Commence. TBA 1... + or - 1 to 5 days. VVD / Bertrand / Cedric, Les Reed announces they are all happy and staying, every newspaper in UK announce they are all leaving. .... Meltdown goes into overdrive as our only signing so far is a 12 year old goal keeper. Aug 12/13th minus 1 day ...still no new players signed. Pre season friendlies played entirely by U18 squad. Meltdown has melted Transfer window minus 5 minutes VVD / Bertrand / Cedic / Tadic / Gabbiadini / Forster / Austin all sold to Liverpool for 200 million quid. Transfer window minus 2 minutes we sign Budgie Burridge as cover goal keeper. Meltdown complete.
  19. We should only sell to Real Madrid, Barcelona or B. Munich, and only if they offer 70 Million straight up. We should not even think about selling to teams we are in direct competition for a Top 4 place
  20. Not replacing Mane and Pelle led to us having the lowest shot to goal conversion rate in The 5 Top Leagues across Europe!! http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/10898672/europes-stats-stars-from-premier-league-bundesliga-serie-a-la-liga-and-ligue-1 ...... Of the title winning sides, Juventus had the worst conversion rate (12.3 per cent), while Premier League side Southampton (7.1 per cent) had the lowest in Europe's top five leagues.
  21. Ha Ha .... beat me to it. Keegan to be named as our new boss .... you heard it 1st here ..... how long before the press print it as gospel
  22. That means in 16 home games we've scored 8 goals!!!!! That is so bad it's impressive! That is just plain crazy!! As a comparison .... Spurs have scored 13 goals in their last 2 away games ... add the 4 they scored at SMS and they've scored more in 3 away games than we have in 16 home games. Madness!!
  23. Ha Ha ... was just searching for that same video!! Spine chilling .... and Dubai Saints Flags to the fore there!! MY Top 3 for the season would be, in no specific order, all equally amazing moments The Whole Milan experience, but especially the amazing support in the stadium despite having little to cheer. The whole EFL Wembley Matchday experience. Once again the fans were incredible, and for once the team were great as well. Although not actually at Anfield to see Long's winner at Anfield, about 8 of us @dubaisaints were in our bar at nearly 2 am on a school night to watch the game, and our over exhuberent mental celebrations had Hotel Security staff running in from all directions wondering what the hell had just happened!! :-) As mentioned else where ... nothing much to cheer at SMS this season.
  24. Kets hope they have something to have a good old meltdown to cry over ... would be good viewing.
  25. It all started off quite innocently when Schteeeeeeeeeeeeve De Ridder joined us. Outside of Mayo on Fries (pre dated Cowman) The Singing Nun was the most famous thing we could think of from Belgium. Unfortunately Googling Singing Nuns came up with a lot more than was expected!!
