  1. Best Club Badge in the league. Glad the club have resisted the temptation to modernise it. The Gold or Silver Crests in The Cortese era were shocking. RIP RP and thank you for your legacy.
  2. Maybe It's because I'm Old School and actually still think that the FA Cup is still something to get excited about and an away tie was always a big attraction and great day out. Depending how many tickets we get I guess it should make Membership, but it's still a bollix of a place to get to and back.
  3. What a load of old bollix. Was hoping for a home game as that is likely to be my weekend for a trip darn sarf to see my mum whilst i'm on hols in UK. Norwich is a ***** to get to as well, and tickets prob may not make Membership.
  4. Middle East Satellite Company that has EPL Rights in Middle East and Near Asia Region. Used to known as Al Jazeera Sports.
  5. Game being shown on BE IN Sports CH 1. Should be streams available.
  6. Is that just 200 from the 5800 allocation? If so, amazing support considering the amount of travelling and expense dished out recently by our fans. Not to mention a few shabby performances prior to this weekend and a fair chance it will be a 2nd string line up. Strong line up please. We'll be up till 2am or later in Dubai if Extra Time and Pens come into play. Luckily not working tomorrow morning!!
  7. Good point and well presented!! Not renewed my Full Membership so can't even edit it to save my blushes!!
  8. A part of my Match Day Build Up .... OWTS by Louis Armstrong and The Skids (Not the sh!tey U2 version) of The Saints are Coming. Both definitely need to be aired on Match Day.
  9. What a pleasure to see Southampton players, Sims, Soares and Cedric in particular running forwards with the ball and taking on and beating defenders, rather than stopping at the halfway line and passing backwards. If only Cedric had played even just half the game in Prague we'd have won at a canter given the space Coco The Clown had.
  10. Absolutely Gutted by the lack of skill, passion and self belief we showed against what was virtually their reserve team FFS. I think a team of tortoises would get the ball and players forward quicker than last nights ponderous efforts. 89th minute and we make about 5 passes along the halfway line giving Prague time to regroup then a hopeless long ball to no one in particular. Did Redmond actually make a forward pass or run? Did anybody actually take on a man and get past him? I'm normally on the Happy Clappy side of the fence, but last night was as bad as anything I've ever seen from a Saints team in my life. Those players last night need to have a long hard look at themselves and ask why none of them could barely complete a 5 yard pass to a team mate, let alone thread through a killer pass. Enough of this containing and retaining possession shyte. I want flair and commitment and courage to try something besides a sideways or backwards lass when we are going forward. I don't see why we need so many wholesale changes each game. Players should be able to manage 2 games a week, okay for a couple of tweaks, but leaving too many key players out for what? We are not going to be anywhere near top 6. Cup games are our only chance of any success. Respect the fans who take valuable time off work and spend a lot of hard earnt money travelling for mid week games here there and everywhere. They deserve so much better than the dross served up last night. At least in Milan there was some honour in our defeat, but the other two games we set up so negatively and got what we deserved where if we'd have gone for it we'd surely have come away with wins quite comfortably. Rant over ..... but that display hurt me and I can't see us recovering against Everton on Sunday. I dread to think how bad the atmosphere might be.

    Bidets

Ideal for washing your feet in ....... obviously one foot at a time unless the bidet is placed in a convenient position so that you can sit on the edge of the bath or toilet and stick both feet in at once.
  12. WTF do England do in their training sessions that leads to our players getting injured in them?
  13. Mid week, 4 hour time difference, we did well to have about 6 of us DubaiSaints in our bar. All the other goals were quietly cheered, but the sheer roar of glee that went up from us and madcap dancing in celebration took the whole place (and ourselves). Completely spontaneous and heartfelt!! I've never ever celebrated a goal not involving Southampton with such joy!!
  14. I agree totally, but we need to have a bit of nastiness about us now and then, but not at the expense of cheering us. Maybe The Northam can vent their collective spleens every now and again instead of any skate songs .... seems fair to me
  15. Too Boo or Not To Boo ... that is the question. Definitely Lolvren as it is certainly deserved and seemed to work last season leading to him being subbed. Lallana a few hisses and chants of Wanchor Wanchor. Clyne a few boos .... Mane ... tough call, he was given a tough ride here and we were never going to say no to the money on offer, hopefully he'll pick up a niggly injury on International Duty and won't play against (destroy!!)us.
  16. It seems Cup Runs aren't all that, and getting knocked out in the 1st Round of The League Cup and FA Cup was all a part of the plan!! As alluded to above, Factless Allen didn't do the match report, so we missed out on how their huffing was the huffiest ever, and little urchins had tears running down there grubby little faces at the magnificent heroics on display by the boys in blue and the atmosphere generated by the 7500 home fans (even though they were outsung by the 500 Wycombe Fans!!) Seems Rule No 1 was NOT to mention the booing.... no siree bob, they don't boo their own players or manager Cookie Boy did make some pretty interesting comments though ..... Some cracking quotes from their absolute Bellend of a Manager after their loss to Wycombe in Round 1 of The FA Cup. It seems to be looked upon as a blessing so that they can concentrate on The League Last season Pompey reached the second round of the Capital One Cup and the fourth round of the FA Cup. Yet Cook is convinced the Blues’ FA Cup progress hampered their league ambitions. He added: ‘Last year I felt we got embroiled in cup competitions which had a derogatory effect on our league. We are a League Two team, we finished sixth in League Two last year, this year we are fifth, last year we had fantastic cup runs, this year we are having none. Er ....about these fantastic Cup Runs..... Knocked out The JPT after just 1 game. Knocked out of The League Cup in Round 2. Out of 2 Cup Competitions by 1st Sept, and out of The FA Cup by end of January, having reached the lofty stage of 4th Round. In total 8 Cup Games , only 2 of which were away!! I guess by Skatesmuff standards these can be seen as Fantastic Cup Runs. #Portsmyth WTFILN
  17. Don't really know!! Seems all the games are at odd KO times today. The norf london derby early prob on Police instructions, and Super Sunday at 1630. Odd.
  18. Same as Liverpool v Watford to fit in between the 2 Sky Matches. Probably driven by Overseas TV companies like BEIn Sports, Supersport and NBC etc who can show Every EPL Game Live, and have less overlaps going on. Don't worry about the people who actually go to the match.
  19. Factor in that our 5 away league games have been against clubs that finished in the top 7 last season. Today's game is an important one towards getting more points (and goals!!) and working our way up the table. We have had a fair few injury issues, key players not with us in most of the pre season, barely a week without a midweek game or most of the squad away on poxy International service to contend with, whilst trying to integrate a new style of football, which seemed alien to some of players and maybe too rigidly imposed at the start. But now we are seeing some wonderful football and a huge number of goal attempts per, once it all clicks into place and we convert more things will look even rosier. To be where we are after losing the fire power and creativity of Pelle, Mane and to all intents and purposes so far Shane Long is really quite an amaxing feat. Well done to all of those who have stepped up to the plate and done so well. Puel has to take much of the credit. #wemarchon
  20. Ha Ha .... the way United are playing, they won't be involved in the knockout stages!!
  21. They are at home, so that would be a bit extreme!! Of course they may be cautious but why should they, having won their last 3 Europa games?
  22. Matt is confident .... warning contains a picture of him wearing a tie http://www.skysports.com/football/news/29329/10635903/southampton-v-chelsea-matt-le-tissier-on-why-the-saints-will-win-on-super-sunday
  23. On Thurs Night they made announcements at Metro Stations saying that there WOULD be a strike, but that there would be a service between 3 and 6 for The Rush Hour period. Next morning everything running normally, mid afternoon still hunky dory, so me and Saint Without a Halo decided to forego our early 1700 trip to MXP for our 2220 flights, but to have a quick visit back to Canalside instead and soak up the glorious sunshine and have a few more beers. 1830, catch Green Line change onto Red Line to get back to our hotel and collect bags ..... OH OH all locked up. Trying to catch a cab along with half of Milan's workforce was a bit traumatic as minutes ticked by, and when we did it seemed that we had made quicker progress by foot as traffic was gridlocked!! Fortunately our AC Milan supporting cabbie knew a few short cuts, waited for us to get our bags and then whisked us off to Centrale and suggested catching a bus might be a better option. Sure enough one was about to leave as soon as we got there. Made our flights with 30 mins spare!! Even in the midst of a strike the transport system seemed to work better than Southern Rail on a good day!!
  24. I think the ultimate, although strictly not a coming home, but a coming back, must be David Connolly who remarkably, as per the song Came Back From The Dead
  25. Depending on which Forecast you look at it could be raining as well - @NorthernSaints will be able to cope but what about the rest of you @softsouthernshytes ?
