Ok ..... where should we start? Skulking off to Blackpool to meet with Klopp without asking for the club's permission, knowing this is completely against the laws of the game. His statements in his Transfer Request letter ...... "Insulted" that the club would not let him go to Liverpool ..... they never actually put in an offer for him, and we all know why!! Talked to management about desire to leave "6 months ago" whilst all the time letting the club go to the efforts of getting him through rehabilitation. He has spent the vast majority of his new enhanced contract either injured or not in the right frame of mind to play. The club are fully justified in expecting some sort of return for their investment in him and promotion to Captain. "Disappointed that enquiries from numerous clubs have been rebuffed" ..... er .... no official approaches were ever made by any club!! Maybe because you'd already spoken to them illegally and they didn't want to end up like The Scousers did. Posting sulky pictures in Social Media ... grow up. Refusing to participate in various pre season photo shoots. Now the window has closed, not facing up to the fact he has a contract with us to fulfill and needs to man up, accept the situation and do what the club are paying him handsomely to do ... play Premier League Football. He needs to grow up, stop listening to his leech of an agent, and stop acting like a spoilt brat, fight for his place in the team, show commitment to the cause and apologise to The Club, fellow players and fans for his actions and would state that he'd like to rejoin the group. The Club said from the very start he was not for sale, despite all the pressure from The Scouse Media Luvvies and ex players alike, they stuck to their guns. Any bad press VVD got was from his own ill thought out actions from the start. All he had to do was ask the club for permission to speak to other clubs, and who knows if a suitable bid came in he might have been on his merry way. Don't blame Les Reed FFS.

They certainly made a lot of noise, but if they'd have had 800 less and we had 800 more in our end it might have made a big difference. Luckily their team ran out of huff and puff towards the end as did their fans. Odd decision not to take full allocation, maybe with a Virgin sponsored cheap travel or entrance .... £20 quid for OUR away support instead of everybody who visits SMS would be nice!! I don't suppose for a minute that the accompanying letter that went with the transfer request was written by VvPr!ck, but by his agent who seems to have been the driving force behind most of this sorry episode. Lets face it, what agent is going to happily sit around twiddling his thumbs for 5 years until the current contract runs down. But you have to ask why did VvStryke decide it was necessary to change agents after his previous one got him a decent pay rise even though there were 3 or 4 years to go on his previous contract? Chief baddie in the LFC camp has to be the gurning git Klippity Klopp, who has somehow escaped punishment in committing the inexcusable sin of actively being involved in the tapping up process by actively meeting VvSnake in Blackpool. How neither him, nor our club captain have escaped punishment by the higher powers that be is simply staggering. So Mr I feel badly insulted Van Thunderkhunt ....... you feel insulted? Try looking at things from our side of the fence. Despite it being a bit like cutting our own noses off to spite our face, I'd be 100% behind the club if they turn down any offers and make you train alone and not even play in the reserves until at least the Jan window. The 7 million saved from his last roll of the dice transfer request can be used to fund his salary in the interim. I.m not one that would normally join in the booing etc of former players when they play against us, but in your case I'd only be too happy to.

Yep like all things LFC they are still living on past glorys.
