  1. Shotgun that I bagsy first use of this post for me to use tomorrow .... and if it does happen you can look upon me as the new Saints Web Mr ITK.
  2. Just think on how much money the club are saving on tracksuits and training tops with "MP" on them!! If Hughsie wants to nab the job he needs to get his name changed to Mark Pughes sharpish
  3. They must have loved it when Cortese was having his little battle with The Echo and always did press releases just after midnight when there print deadline had passed!!
  4. An Untarnished Ring? St Mary's is just fine ... does exactly what it says on the tin. It's also got a bit of history behind it as well. I loved Mick Channon's (I think it was!?) slightly non PC choice of The New Delhi I can honestly say I have no clue what Leicester, Hull City, Newcastle, Stoke or numerous others call their ground nowadays. Souless sponsors names with nothing to do with the clubs except for money.
  5. Mark Hughes full name is actually Leslie Mark Hughes.
  6. As much as I loathe Derby, The Brunswick near the station has to be one of the best away pubs ever. And that would be one of next season's relegation spots nailed down already!! About a dozen Real ales and their own micro brewery and the food was pretty reasonable last time I went!! Never been to Villa Park, so that would be fine too. Both grounds would offer a large away following. Smoggies .... nah .... bound to be a Jan mid week ko knowing the doss EPL Fixture Computer. Fulham with their tourist section ... and no doubt on a Sunday when every bit of Southern Rail is shut down for maintenance!! To be honest just (assuming no cock ups of biblical proportions today!!) relieved to still be in The Prem after this car crash of a season!!
  7. And if my Aunty had a pair of ****** she'd be my Uncle.* * I do realise this doesn't apply in PO Postal Code areas as the answer could be Dad, Brother or Uncle ... and in fact probably is!! Citing a game where we actually got nothing after being ahead would be a better option, there's enough to pick from
  8. Lets hope that Stoke don't stay at The Marriott and get that nasty virus and have to put out their under 18's team
  9. I know it's crazy to even be thinking about that goal difference swing coming into play, but as someone posted elsewhere .... Only 1 team has scored 7 goals in an EPL match this season .....and we are playing them!! Only 1 team has let in 7 goals this season in The EPL ... and they are playing Swansea!! Only one EPL team manager has seen his team let in 7 goals in The EPL this season .... and he is now in charge of us against the same opposition!! Weren't we in a similar goal difference situation in L1 promotion season with Huddersfield still snapping at our heels and Southend? or Walsall? went 1 up at SMS early doors but it all ended happily. There is no doubt that Citeh are capable of banging in 5 or 6, but Swansea scoring more than 2 or 3 ... come on. Butland will be hoping to be on his way to The World Cup so he won't be letting goals in for fun. Citeh with so many players going to the World Cup aren't going to go for bust if they do get into a 2 or 3 lead. So why have I still got a few butterflies flapping about in my stomach??? Anyway a bit more light hearted .... just seen this summation of our goal from Tuesday night by USA Soccer guy on Twitter ‏ @usasoccerguy May 8 More Gabby O’Deeney’s goalshot for the Southside Saints against the Seaswans relegizes the Wes Brown Albinos from the EPL League. The jaws of the EPL minor leagues are also chomping at the Seaswans’ aqua bird asses like some humongous gator that’s kinda hungry. Marvellous
  10. Lawrie Mac predicted that we'd be ok and survive under Hughes. His reasoning ... Hughes is a manager not a coach. And boy has he managed The Club and Individuals back into believing in themselves and encouraged them to be positive, and stopped all this poxy tedious passing the ball along the halfway way then hoofing it to their defenders. Whenever anybody got the ball their first intention was to go forwards .... at long last!! A warrior both on and off the pitch. I would love to have seen the players faces as he led them up to the ground by foot, rather than sheepishly sit in the coach for 25 mins awaiting the ok to continue. That one action probably had a huge impact on the players, seeing their boss lead from the front.
  11. To be fair I haven't seen him make a single mistake in the last 4 or 5 games
  12. No, No and once again NO!! That is so Tin Pot........ celebrating not being relegated because luckily there were 3 worse teams over the course of the season. Cheer, sing and bring the roof down .... but not that pile of pony song purlease!!
  13. As we did when we got relegated in Lawries 1st year
  14. Mr Southampton. Devoted virtually his whole life to the club. Thank God we eventually got a fitting tribute after the 1st shambolic attempt.
  15. I change in Dubai with Emirates ... 1st Class on an A380 .....it would be a breeze!!
  16. The shirt is fine .... it's some of the donkey's wearing it (and the clown choosing who to wear it and the tactics to play) that has been the problem!!
  17. I haven't seen it, but I can definitely say it was more of a foul than the Wembley Disallowed Goal Incident. As said above .... anywhere else on the pitch definitely a foul .... whereas Cup Final, anywhere else on the pitch nobody would have batted an eyelid.
  18. Your face going the all the highs and lows ..... brilliant!! Great work matey.
  19. Toby and Vic to Anfield .... nailed on
  20. Although the idea of 25000 Saints Fans trying to get into the same pub in Baker Street is quite appealing with posts on here saying service was a bit slow and they ran out of Pies early on as well
  21. Our defending at corners is infuriating!! Haven't paid much attention recently but under Mope every player was back defending in the box, not a single player on the halfway line to keep a couple of defenders with him!! Now we don't have anybody on the edge of the box, at times Chelsea had 3 players strung across just outside our box unmarked and invariably this is where any under pressure headers land. Unforgivable.

  23. Do we still hand out those pathetic happy clapper things at SMS. Leicester have a lot to answer for starting the craze. For that reason alone they deserve to get thrashed by us on Thursday!! And no matter how good they are at playing instruments .... it's a BIG NO from me .... as is (not that we get to hear it much over the last two seasons ) music blaring out over the tannoys IF we ever score a goal, drowning out the real atmosphere.
  24. Why weren't there 10000 frothing pumped up lairy fans there to cheer on our plucky heros then Brick and Bottle the hapless away team? No wonder VVD and the rest left .... no passion
  25. Pubs are dry in Dubai today so pre matching at home by finishing off a half a bottle of champagne left over from last nights excesses and a couple of huge bacon and mushroom sarnies to mop up last nights excesses. Probably squeeze in a few Brew Dog 5am Saint .... and who knows a hhip flask of Malibu might slip into my pocket to make my Pub Coke taste better!! Bizzarely I'll probably be more trashed than on a normal match day #COYS
