Many of us who can't get to many games due to work or living away from the area etc stumped 25 quid at the start of the season to give ourselves a fighting chance of getting a ticket ahead of The General Sale. After we got through to Wembley, The Club encouraged people without Membership but had attended games to jump the queue by taking up Membership and even top up their games total with a Cheap FA Cup ticket and the WHU game, both of which subsequently sold out, but may not have had the lure of a Final ticket not been dangled. Good result for SFC financially, but a kick in the teeth he paid out at the start of the season in hope of getting some sort of priority.

I was shopping in town that day with a mate and a really hot Italian girl on a student exchange visit. It certainly was a bit edgy in The Precinct area so moved over to Debenhams and must have been in there when it all kicked off in and outside The Warrens. An absolute picture of carnage .... bar stools, broken windows, broken snooker cue and glasses littered the area in front of the pub. A real life Western Bar Room Brawl!!!ern Whilst in Debs we saw a right dodgy group of geezers walking in and moved away from the area the were heading. It was only after they went by we saw that it was The Jam and a group of burly minders who were in town later that night or next day!! We left town way before final whistle but even then there were little pockets of lads out looking for a scrap. We had to try and convince the poor petrified girl that this wasn't a normal Saturday in town!!

Same here .... on my travels back I've clocked up 4 aways (uk home is in Lancashire when I'm back from Dubai) and I was feeling quietly confident of getting a Cup Final ticket until I saw that they had given priority to Home Matches and allowed new purchaes to be added to members totals. This of course was a shrewd move by the club financially as Arsenal and WHU matches suddenly sold out, and it could be argued that fans who buy home tickets are contributing more cash to the club than those who buy away tickets. So it seems I'll be missing out unless somebody knows of somebody who cant make it to Wembley because they are on holiday, getting married, don't like Puel or are washing their hair that day, and would like to donate their ticket to me, a fan for 50 years through thick and thin!! Just on the off chance like!! Thanks.

Yep it was definitely Oldham. A cold day but well worth the reward of a voucher which got me top The semi final and Final. They always chose a match against a team that with all due respect to the opposition would be viewed as not a crowd puller and with a small away following during the cold winter.

At least we did try to get behind our team for most of the match, maybe not the loudest visitors, due to smaller numbers I agree, but the home support was non existant until their third goal. How 37000 people could be so quiet was a quite a feat.
