Chelsea 2 Saints 2 - Post Match Celebrations & MotM
JustinR replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Punch on the radio when asked about his contract.... " Im happy here, thats all im gonna say" wahoooo -
Yeah we were good... maybe something to do with the Villa stewards were pretty relaxed about us standing all game?
-
Boruc starting to show why he is likely to be in goal for the rest of the season. Thought the defence were good first half, very nervy 2nd. Yoshi in particular made some terrible decisions. Hoiveld turned far too easily, yet still Villa couldnt score. Shaw brilliant. J Rod was quick and perfect for counter attacking 2nd half, but he's in the premiership now, missed 2 one on ones with the keeper... not good enough. Some will say confidence but he scored against Chelsea in similar positions. Felt Villa deserved a point for their 2nd half improvement. Was f**kin freezing today

Watching football isn't about solely winning, or we'd all happily be in league 2 beating teams 4 nil all season. Its about watching the football at its pinnacle of quality. Sorry you just don't get that in the championship. The gap in quality is much bigger than I was expecting

He used "love the bones of him" about Lambert when he dropped him. Not being pedantic or anything. I've used "to be the best that we can be" a few times when training people at work, almost without thinking
-
Well at least put some photos up then
-
Just watched Adkins and Morgans press conferences. Someone on here was saying after the Norwich game that Adkins sounded pretty down on Gazza and thought it likely he'd be dropped. I feel the opposite now, I think he'll play. Adkins was bigging him up. But it was Morgan that convinced me. He said "Im sure he'll (Gazza) will make some great saves on Saturday". He tried to change it to "if he plays" but said it all for me.

What's the biggest factor in our recent turn around?
JustinR replied to Cheam Saint's topic in The Saints
Adkins -
How much would Gaston cost if he was English ? More than 12 million. There's your answer
-
I watched Gazza in the warm up and was very impressed that he managed to tie his laces with his gloves ON.
-
Just been reading their forum "The Pink Un" and they are also cautious about playing us now. Altho several posted that they felt confident because there's no way we (Saints) would win THREE in a row. I think its a home win... Yes theyve had a few good results against the big teams, but those were at home. Everton without Fellaini are nowhere near as strong.
-
Just listened to Adkins press conference in full... he said that Gazza needs to be allowed to make mistakes/ he's the one with the jersey/ he will change things round if the same mistakes keep happening. He said the attitude of all 3 has been "bang on" So Gazza will be in goal Sunday
-
Cisse is injured rather than being rested. Recurrence of his back problem apparently. Never wanna see players injured blah blah blah but they're down to the bare bones now, if we don't win Sunday we're crap
-
Or maybe the non- vocal majority actually do like it??
-
Well we tried to sign Del Piero, so wouldn't rule it out
-
100%, but I don't think he would come here for his last challenge. Too big a challenge !
-
His hair looks much better now too (Im not gay or owt)
-
I think its the whole game isn't it? Rather than extended highlights
-
Yeah Peter Crouch learnt. And we went down Lets hope this "lesson" doesn't cost us to same
