Absolutely gutted about Nigel but you have to agree Cortese appears absolutely driven to achieve his aims. It would appear he is as ruthless with the managerial position as he is with the programme sellers and his belief must be it is the way we need to go to achieve his targets. IMO today leaves no doubt about where he is aiming..whether one man can make all the right decisions to get there is the question that can only be answered by time. However it has all worked so far as we are ahead of schedule. Whether others can stomach the decisions and actions he feels he needs to take to get there is answered above. IF (big if) we are playing in the champions league in 5 years you will have to say Cortese was right today. If he is right will you be there in 5 years time singing his name or boycotting as he sacked Adkins? Ruthless, yes...to the point of heartless, yes...but wrong? I had to move stands and I have received a printed ticket although I purchased another couple at the same time. It did say on the e-mail that I wouldn't receive a ticket and it would be added to my season ticket.- but like you I was wondering about identifying the seat etc. I know when I go to the Emirates with mates they always have print out's of an e-mail (for seat numbers etc) as it's just added to their membership cards. I assumed it would be like that so I printed the e-mail to take..but like I said they sent me a ticket anyway.

I don't agree....What price is Messi worth to Barcelona? The income generated by him alone makes it a very big price...However to sell the best player in the world means they would be admitting the club that bought him are bigger and better than Barcelona, therefore at the moment there is no price worth selling at for Barcelona. In effect he hasn't got a price. As for us the £10m for example is only a good price if we have a better chance of staying up without him than with him, otherwise in the long run it could cost us a lot more than that. EG Ramirez, J Rod, Clynne, Morgan, Cork who would get offers the minute we went down and we would struggle to hold on to them.

This +1 What I don't get on here is how some people want instant success and anything less than a win is a major crises...However it's 11 against 11 and the other team and manager are trying just as hard to get that magic formula as Nigel is. Doesn't matter if you are Man Utd, Barcelona or Halifax the opposition never just turn up to let you roll over them? Suppose that's the little bubble people get in and they blame everything on their own manager when sometimes it's just the other manager got it right/sussed your tactics/got lucky etc...Ask Sir Alex whether winning the title last season makes Mancini the better manager of the two?
