  1. How did you do that? Did you go forward in time or something?
  2. Have you got a Saints sticker in your car window?
  3. May not be against the rules but surely ungentlemanly conduct? I am sure the bear won't stoop so low
  4. Are you a pompey fan? please PM me to confirm.* That's gotta be a foul..surely the only rule has to include you can't just openly ask him too either?
  5. If you go 8-0 down can you bring on another player? I suppose the idea is to keep bringing on defenders until the winning side can no longer score...even if that is only because you stacked your 25 centre backs up to brick up the goal.
  6. We have gone too far down the route to turn back now! We play football, we play the new standard formation 4-3-3 and Adkins isn't going to turn his back on that just because we lost (quite)a few games. Anyway we haven't got the players to grind out a 1-0 win so what's the point in setting up with that in mind? Enjoy the ride!
  7. Like your confidence but reckon we'd have more chance with the second and 11 players! Hopefully Bale will continue his paternity leave!
  8. Also by spreading the workload we have not got the goalie who has conceded the most goals this season!
  9. People saying the chairman interfere's over and over is making people believe it's true with no real evidence! Give Adkins some respect..I can't believe he is just a yes man and has not got his own idea's etc and I don't believe he is letting the chairman pick the team or formation etc. He is a studious guy who realises that 4-4-2 is outdated in this league and when you play it, you risk getting over run in midfield by every other team who play a more fluid formation with 3 in the centre of the park. Personally I can see what he is trying to achieve, I can see why he made the substitutions he has. I can also see why he thinks dropping Rickie is a good idea when playing away from home when the 4-3-3 becomes essentially 4-5-1 so the frontman has to be very mobile. We had a tough start and I think that has led the team to believe when we concede one we will concede a hatful and that's the biggest issue at the moment.
  10. Almost certainly in my opinion, although I voted for Adkins to be given longer. We have a seemingly niave approach to the premier league at the moment and another more seasoned premiership manager would certainly try to stop us conceding as a priority. You can make any unit better defensively and I don't buy the "it'sall down to the players available" argument. Yesterday Yoshida kept appearing very far forward when the defensive priority needs to be stopping goals at the moment. Let the forward players deal with scoring!
  11. Surely it's add + ress or ad + dress otherwise it would be adddress? Anyway when are you teaching them "Lee's not playing today" that is a must?
  12. I agree with you, Whether it's worth expanding is not about selling out every game now it's all about averages...If we average 30k now and increase the capacity the average will increase just on the big 4 filling a bigger ground for those games alone. If other games sell more than now as well obviously that will raise it further. A cup run or drawing our nearest and dearest neighbours would see potential further sell outs. It depends if that projected average rise over the season is enough to justify the initial outlay.
  13. I did say "seems" so it's based on my perceptions rather than reality and hard evidence. That perception is fuelled mainly by by: His previous jobs in which being extremely loose with money would not I assume be seen as an attractive trait. He was respected enough for Markus to employ him? His position held within the company now..Saints is not his only interest for the company, he is obviously trusted. The number of players we were rumoured not to have signed as he would not pay either over the odds or the wages for them. (perhaps that was all rubbish though?) He may have racked up £21m of debt but did that ever seem to worry him? It never seemed a burden on the rare occasions he appeared on film in fact he spoke of greater things to come, almost as though he knew it would be cleared..which indeed it has been. It's easy to say he spent too much the last few years and racked up debt but if he knew it would be cleared why wouldn't you? Finally the only evidence I have...did we go into this season debt free after 3 years of him being in charge? Yes we did and we made it to the premier league. Seems pretty sensible to me! (ask that gold bloke how much it cost his club to get back?)
  14. Yeah but those bidding can't get away with loitering around the uni resident halls without some Bastard phoning the police. Bloody nosey parkers...I was lost..I was looking for Mcdonalds..it was an easy mistake to make and yes I had been outside her dorm for three hours but I had just realised my mistake and was going to be moving on when the police came... Anyway I dropped out of the bidding ages ago.
  15. Wasn't there rumours that the Ramirez deal was stalling because Bolgna wanted proof of funds for next years payment as it was not a straight cash deal? Perhaps this has something to do with the solution to that? No club pays straight cash for players..The vast majority of the big fees are all based on instalments. How is that not borrowing against future season ticket funds? It's common practice and why would Cortese go cap in hand for more millions when we just had £30m off them especially as he has a guarenteed £90m coming in over the next 4-5 years? Where do you think that £30m went? To pay off debt we had accrued....Money isn't pumped into the club daily it was paid off after the event. Cortese is obviously confident that we can spend with little risk, I trust him it's not in his interest's to bankrupt the club (oh excuse me you know that 30m you turned to shares well now it's worth nothing as I ran the club into the ground!) and he seems a sensible sort of guy with money anway... Storm in a tea cup and who is to say in future there won't be another cash injection to write off any more debt accrued?
  16. Didn't Adkins say he was looking for 4 wins on the road?
  17. LOL ! Liverpool talking of making Anfield 60,000 and they are short of their capacity most games too (cap 45k average 44k)...numpties if only they had some of our fans to point out the folly in trying to progress! And hark at the Villa fans we can see your empty seats! averaging 35k in a 42k stadium..they'd be better off ground sharing with the brum!
  18. Good on her...you moaning at the game about Kelvin and voicing that at a level audible enough for her to comment during the game is never going to help is it? Kelvin was always good enough for league 1 so what was your issue? Where you the one shouting at the top of his voice during the Man Utd game (at the 60th minute?) to our players "to take the balls into the corners as they can't score from there" then berating them as F'ing useless when they didn't were you? Voicing valid criticism at an appropriate time doesn't make you an anti-fan but F****** moaning during the game at OUR PLAYERS makes you part of the problem! How are our players supposed to gain confidence when our own fans attack them for every mistake and that was in league 1!
  19. when sky show podolski celebrating (which is every 5 mins) the fans in the background are celebrating and clapping except one bloke stood there with his arms folded..which one of you is he?
  20. No one sings the words as it's sung so fast you can't actually sing them and keep up! Slow it back down like OWTS and it will be sung properly!! Whilst on the subject why can't people understand it's OWTS twice slowly before speeding up although that shows by a bloke keeping it slow the pace of the song can be controlled! Whilst I am moaning WTFILN should be a clap clap at the end of each line not continous clapping like a bunch of duracel monkeys on speed So there's the next challenge slow the RLSGM song down so we can sign the words and IMO brown girl for Morgan...which was sang in the Northam last week nut it does need a last line! Got that off my chest anyway! :-)
  21. I got a pumpkin from that bloke off that sky soccer saturday programme.
  22. I hate you for getting the thread title wrong as I was excited I was going to learn something before I opened it... I love Bananaman...cos he has a cool user name.
  23. IMO Lambert has to start, I'd keep the same team if no injuries..however Adkins will make a tactical judgement on who best fits against Arsenal so may make changes. Think we'll win this one! Arsenal due to concede a goal and we're due a clean sheet!
  24. You're so right....us QPR and Liverpool should not bother for the rest of the season as it's clear those at the bottom now are going down.
  25. Just tried it and can't get on it! I bought a couple of season tickets, extra tickets for wigan and Arsenal tickets on line with no issues but I must concede tonight I can't get on it! So not your PC especially if you've used it before! IMO opinion that's poor (so perhaps the bashing of the site is justified!) and won't help to sell out our ground!
