  1. It's hardly new news though anyway is it? As well as everyone saying we were bidding for a striker and CB for the last few weeks Nigel himself said before the WBA game in July that he wanted to bring in 3 or 4 players this window! So saying to expect some signings is like saying expect christmas in December...pretty obvious statement. To be credible the OP needed to say when and who. The OP's source also told him the pre-season tour was in the USA so hardly reliable.
  2. To be fair I read the OP as we will definately get two or three new signings rather than we may or may not get two or three signings. I am sure you will look back in 10 years and say "You know he was right..we did get that new bloke in 2012 one in 2015 and even a third in 2019"
  3. pointless post.
  4. I hope we don't do it with the skatey chimes. When we do that it makes it sound like the away fans are singing louder than they are even if we have changed the words a bit..at the last skates game a mate watching on the tv said to me after "weren't they loud?" I said it was the home fans joining in with the f off bit but he said it couldn't be made out properly and it just made them sound louder. IMO opinion if we try to drown out an opposing set of fans it should be with OWTS sung over and over until they shut up!
  5. On the OS there is a section on records...At the moment our biggest transfer out is listed as Theo Walcott for £12m. I wonder when that will be updated and will it say Alex C undisclosed?
  6. Most of what you listed in the OP is rumour and not fact based. The ones that are facts are not put into context (such as season tickets which could be argued are in line with other clubs in this division and were too cheap before) If you don't have an agenda why start a thread like this without any balance? In fact show me the threads in which show you have a balanced view of cortese? Pretend "Im certainly not anti cortese" all you like but your agenda is clear By the way...."amasing?"
  7. That's funny I have seen you having a pop at Cortese on other threads so I don't belive you. I put it to you that you are the blind one, who has a specific agenda on cortese... Are you one of the dark forces? I think he should ban you too!
  8. Sorry can you just clarify? Did you get the tug at half time..if so when did she sell the pies?
  9. Cork, Cork wherever you may be, you signed for saints from chelsea but it could be worse you could have been a skate and ****ged your mum by the garden gate.
  10. That's the crux of it...with all due respect you want the best seats in the house but aren't willing to pay for it!
  11. Why would the club be desperate for more? The takings (£16 per game on season ticket or £27+ on the day) means it is surely better to be getting less as long as you can get people to buy individually? If the club aren't desperate for money up front and are confident of competing meaning higher crowds then you'd want less to make more income? From the numbers at the round 1 of the cups etc I would assume a lot of season ticket holders don't go to extra games either unless they are a glamour tie so IMO they may not be the priority unless they are paying a decent wedge to see the games. At £8 a game or even £15 a game they aren't contributing that mutch to the finances surely?
  12. £16 a game still seems good to me...IMO to not renew seems a bit like cutting your nose off to spite your face. Problem for all those not renewing this year (as they are p****d off they have been reclassified as adult) is 1) They will only be able to go to just over half the games for the same price at almost £30 a game for tickets 2) They won't get the renewal discount next year if they do want a season ticket so they will be looking at another £4 per game next year. If I was in that situation I may be a bit p'd off but I would not let my season ticket go! However this isn't about what you paid in the past it's about what is a realistic price for next year? From the clubs perspective could we really exist with a number of supporters paying £8 a game, other consessions and kids under 11 for free? Thinking about it now our matchday income must have been massively less than I ever thought it was! Not sure what the 60-64 year brackets would have been happy with if £16 a game is too much? How much would you be willing to pay? £12? £10? £9?
  13. I still can't believe how much these 60-64 year olds were paying last year! less than 7.50 a game!!! That has got to be the bargain of a lifetime!!
  14. Whilst I sympathise with you..most people don't retire till 65..and in future it will be later than that 67+. If people choose to retire early surely that's their choice so why should others subsidise them?
  15. Yeah fair enough I can see that point.
  16. For christ sake you paid the grand total of less than £7.40 per game each last year to watch us get promoted..you couldn't have watched Totton for that! And now you are moaning that its gone up to a more realistic £16.50 a game. I am afraid you are trying to get something for nothing that is still great value!
  17. Hope his mum still keeps her job though.
  18. To be fair Barce did not play bad when they lost to Arsenal this year..I was at the game and for 75 minutes Arsenal chased shadows. Arsenal's first goal was good but against the run of play and they went at Barce for the final 15 like Utd did for the first 10 last night. Barcelona were on a different plane to Arsenal and, IMO, those two games derailed their season as they suddenly realised their slick passing game was not a patch on Barcelona's movement and work ethic. Just like they did to Utd last night Barcelona made Arsenal look very very very ordinary in both legs.
  19. Are you trying to say our chants aren't fact based? For heavens sake you'll be making a case for Barcelona to be by far the greatest team the world has ever seen next where we all know (and sang the song) it's Southampton FC.
  20. I am the only one who thinks all this early bird and buying a season ticket in March is bizarre and to me is a recent craze? If this carries on Norwich will be buying next years season ticket in december. I seem to remember that there used to be distinct seasons and this season would end you have a break then in July pre season and season tickets all start up again? Don't see what is wrong with the club going back to that model? We all know Season tickets are coming whether I buy it today or in July doesn't matter as long as I have it before game 1 surely? This thread IMO is just like our society..I want it and I want it now..I am not prepared to wait one second longer...even if I can't use it for another 4 months!
  21. Ironically those block 42 super fans (not all block 42 just those dicks waving their s-tickets) this Saturday were shouting at people leaving early! I say ironic as against colchester I counted at least 12 of those same mongs who left at or before the 85th minute! Unfortunately the illiterate hypocrites probably can't answer on here as when they mash the keypad with their fists they don't know what it says! Yes I did mention it to a few of them on the day, that actually can't they see that having a full ground is better than it being half empty and that abusing your own fans is probably not the best way to encourage those people to come back again? They agreed they could see the point I was making and then sang a song about plastics! To be fair I think the majority of those idiots are sheep who would sing anything to be in with their mates and they don't think about what they are doing.
  22. Dyslexic page 3 model not a witness in sexual assault. Glenda AKA "big tits" said "I only turned my back for a second"
  23. And it was an awesome April...7 wins out of 8. Well Done NA...credit where it is due!
