  1. St Paul

    press conference

My understanding is: if you owe them money when you go into admin, they will vote against any CVA whilst the Football creditors rule is in place, if you dont owe them at the time of admin, you can continue to pay them and they are not a creditor. Hopefully all the donations ect, are being used to keep the payments up to date.
  2. Signing MS was another example of Lowe's pig headedness and "I know best" attitude. He may turn into a good players, however he isn't at the moment. Personally, I believe Lowe brought him, to sell at a profit. Showing us all what a great visionary he was. The problem was, he's now proberly worth less than we paid and we spent money we didn't have. To get rid of Pearson, Woggy and loan out 3 goalscorers because of money issues, and then sign an untested teenage French kid, for x amount, shows how messed up Lowe's priorities were.
  3. I had some Polish guys working for me during his hot spell on loan. They were laughing at me because I kept going on about him. They were basically saying "it wont last" and "he'll be rubbish soon". Evidently he was a boy wonder, until some sort of accident, they claim he's never been the same since. Unfortuantly I cant ask them now, as they all went back to poland.
  4. Why is it the Lowe supporters are the one's who run Lawrie down. Are they indoctrinated into some sort of Lowe cult? Brainwashed into following their master's spin. Personally if Lawrie hadn't fallen out with Lowe, I dont beleive for one minute that anyone would be questioning his honesty, competance or record at the Club. Take the Chris Mac stuff with Pearson and the expenses for the Osman night. No matter how hard Lowe and his foot soliders try most Saints fans are grateful to Lawrie and proud of the teams he built. Him and Ted are head and shoulders above any other Manager at this Club, I'm just glad Ted didn't fall out with Lowe, because god knows what the Loweittes would say about him.
  5. You are getting deductions mixed up. The -10 was a league rule brought in at the request of all Clubs. The deduction that the Clubs voted on and Leeds oppossed was the -15 for exitting admin without a CVA.At the time Ken Bates was adamant that Clubs voting against Leeds' appeall would come back and haunt them. Since that vote, every Club that's gone into admin has come out with another points deduction (-15 being the minimum)
  6. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/apr/27/southampton-future-threat-buyer "Turning up at the end of the game in the hospitality suites - with Nick Holmes and Mark Dennis in tow - wielding buckets to "save our club" is a sign of how inappropriate and embarrassing Mr Crouch has become" What a plank.
  7. Are you Eileen Drewery?
  8. 'cause Hoddle did so well at Wolves didn't he?
  9. The pen was poor and I dont rate him as a player. He has picked up a bit lately, but he rates himself too much. At the end of the day I doubt if too many there were surprised he missed it and that's pretty damning .
  10. I will be seeing Tony this morning and I'll jog his memory.
  11. Exactly, and that is the reason for the tour of media outlets. Make no mistake, in the world of business, what Barclay's did could damage his reputation for ever. The Lowe world tour was about trying to save his name,in the fiancial world .
  12. And the bank didn't pull the plug. The fact they did over £110,000 shows what they thought of Lowe and his running of the Club. They lost faith in HIM and pulled the rug from under HIM.
  13. The fact that Barclay's pulled the plug over £110,000 is damning towards Lowe. Very soon the transfer window open's, season ticket monies come in and some players are out of contract. To pull the plug at this time shows they had no faith in Lowe's abillity to run the Club and get their money back.
  14. Perhaps Lowe's supports could explain what they consider failure to be, because I call relegation and admin failure. If that's not Lowe failing I dread to think what is.
  15. Portfliet would have failed at Leicester. What more does Pearson have to do to convince some of the posters on here. When he takes Leicester into the play off's next season, will we still be reading about how easy it is at Leicester. He had caretaker spells at Newcastle and WBA and their supporters are very respectful towards him. I'm sure Leicester fans are pretty pleased with him as well. In fact the only people who seem to have a problem with him, is Rupert Lowe's fan Club. Let's face it Pearson is exactly the type of Manager we needed this season. Used to working with youth ( England U21's) and a passionate Englishman, who'll get the side fit and organised. The fact he was let go on the basis that Lowe didn't appoint him is one of the most frustrating things to happen at our Club.
  16. I dont think we'd be in the bottom 2 and in admin had Pearson still been Manager. I dont think leicester would be promoted if Wotte was their Manager, but that's just my opinion. The facts are Lowe got rid of Pearson, and yet we still ended up in admin, and will be relegated. Lowe's policies failed on the pitch and off it, how people can still defend him is beyond me.
  17. I bet Chris Iwelumo is impressed with our style of play.
  18. If we exit admin without a CVA then the League can impose any penalty they want in return for our golden share. There is nothing to stop the League adding 10 points to the 15 Leeds got, and there's nothing we can do about it (they added 2 to AFCB) as you have to sign away the right of appeal to receive the share, basically to play in the League without a CVA, you have to accept their terms.
  19. We may get away with out the -10, but that wont be the end of it. If we exit admin without a CVA the league can impose any terms they want before we receive our Golden Share back. There is nothing to stop the League giving our share back in return for us agreeing to start the season with -25. This is how they got Bates back after he found his loophole, and was the reason for the -15.You have to sign your right of appeal away and accept their terms to compete the following season.
  20. Didn't Lowe and Wilde ask Lawrie to stay on. So they must have thought he was worth the expenses he was paid. Or is it ok for Lowe to pay him expenses, but not Crouch? Did Lowe and Cowan receive their money last month?
  21. Perhaps he should sign for Leicester. Nigel would have got him fit and not over played him.
  22. The fact we went into admin over such a small amount shows just what tin pots Wilde and Lowe were. £100,000, that's £50,000 each. I think crouch would have paid out of his own pocket. Once last Thursday's deadline passed we should have done whatever we could to get to the end of the season. If anyone thinks we're not heading for -10, they're seriously deluded. Football is littered with examples of where directors have bailed Clubs out with loans, and donations to help Clubs. Lowe was paid an graet deal of money by SLH over the years, the fact we went into admin over £100,000 sticks in the throat.
  23. Wotton was way too deep and I'm surprised Perry din't push him on a bit. The fact he didn't suggests to me that Wotton was told to play that deep. Perry, Kelvin and Saiejs, are expeirenced players they would have pushed him on, and surely at half time the Manager would have told him. However he stayed as deep second half, so that must be down to Manager. If you want to see what playing youngsters too much and too early, look at lallana and Thomson. I just hope these guys are not ruined for good by this crazy policy this year. Surman is too one paced for me, have never rated him that highly and our situation seems to be getting to him. I thought Euall and saga worked hard, but were given nothing to work with.I even found myslef thinking Jermaine Wright would have done better than Wotton in CM, and better at RB than Thomson.
  24. This is my take on it. Why doesn't Lowe shut the hell up, accept he's failed and move on?
