  1. Can't help but feel that the way they play might just suit us. Quite a laboured midfield and not the best at the bac when pressed. However they also have the threat over the top with Rashford etc, Definitely more confident about this one than Wolves away...
  2. Nope - I've only had 4, Spurs, WBA, Everton, and Newcastle I would assume.
  3. Hmm, hopefully he’s alright and it’s not a falling out...!!
  4. Was very promising in a RWB position, but looked all at sea when playing RB. That Leicester game seems to have really hurt him, as I think he has only played once or twice since...? Looks to me like a loan move would be best for all parties, and see whether he can develop. Sure the allegations relating to his private life have also affected him massively.
  5. Some really promising news today for those wanting to get back into stadiums. Whats the chances of Southampton being Tier 1? I'd guess we have about 12,000 season ticket holders who opted in to return, so would work out as 1 in 3 games we'd be able to go to...
  6. If Bertrand won't sign a contract, then getting in Brandon Williams in on loan in January with a view to a perm wouldn't be awful business. Yes Bertrand would be a big loss, but Brandon Williams could develop into a really good full back given the chance to play...
  7. 19, Didn't know how old KWP was!
  8. At the end of the day, his personal life is none of our business.
  9. You say that, but Mane took a few seasons to get going, he was awful when he joined. I don't think Djenepo will get close to Mane's level, but there are similarities. Love his passion, and his unpredictability. Great to have a few different options on either side, suddenly feels like we have got some real depth to the squad. He's certainly got a decent role to play as long as he can get fit.
  10. But that's mainly because we stop pressing in midfield. It's fine as long as we press them because they dont have time to pick the pass.
  11. Jeremi Rodriguez - he's only 17 though and only just joined the club. It's incredibly difficult as it seems all the potential backups are also injured (Vokins, Salisu, Diallo, Smallbone). I would go something like this. Valery a huge gamble though, not sure what the other alternatives are with current injury problems. Would rather keep JWP in midfield if possible, especially give Diallo and Smallbone out. Only other option would be to put JWP RB, Armstrong into the middle and Djenepo/Redmond either side. Very difficult though as we want to keep disruption to the minimum. ---------------------Mccarthy--------------------- Valery------Bednarek-------Vestergaard-------KWP --------------Romeu---------JWP---------------- ------Armstrong--------------------Redmond----- --------------Adams--------Walcott--------------
  12. If that happens, it surely won't be long until they're in the premier league. Will it get to a point where you require to have billionaire owners to even be in the league?!
  13. I think we just have to wait, clearly something going on which is private. He's not been at the club that long.
  14. Could be worse, but a big blow for us. Luckily Adams has started scoring a few. Get well soon Danny, let's hope it's routine and he's back for Christmas period.
  15. I don't particularly rate Newcastle, but they're a bit of a pain to play against. Likely to put 11 men behind the ball for 80 mins and hit us on the break in the last 10 mins. An early goal or two would be ideal...
  16. Agree - we should be looking to improve the first XI, and then the current XI become the depth, you never move forward otherwise
  17. He's poor and not really good enough to play in the premier league, but he has passion and was fine for us last, but playing at the peak of his ability. Wouldn't surprise me if he is off in January.
  18. Basically a penalty getting free kicks there, he's so unbelievably good from there.
  19. He's "found his level" I feel. I just can't see him ever being a success in the PL, he doesn't have any standout characteristics. He's not quick, he's not skillful, he's not great shooting from distance and he doesn't read the game particularly well....I'd be shocked if he comes back and is a success, but obviously if he comes back and trains to be a success in this system, and Ralph thinks he's good enough, he'll have my backing, just cant see it...
  20. Redmond isn't playing his best football atm, but it's nice for us to have other options. He's also a decent player for us, and offfers the transition from defence to attack, and Hasenhuttl claarly sees him as a very important cog in the system. I don't expect him to be dropped / rested. Mccarthy; KWP Vest Bednarek Bertrand; Romeu JWP; Armstrong Ings Adams Redmond. Walcott Diallo and possibly Djenepo as options off the bench.
  21. Thats normally Walcott...!
  22. Would arguably score more than Firmino playing up top.
  23. I don't think there is anything to worry about. He'll be in the squad when he's ready, whether it's personal matter or an injury. Appreciate it's a bit odd that there wasn't much marketing material when he signed though. Sure if we were still in the league cup he would have played by now. Maybe he'll get a game on Sunday replacing Bednarek who was shocking on Saturday.
  24. I think they don't have a choice but to name them, if they're at the club and we haven't filled the quota of 25. Does show how small the squad is that Hasenhuttl wants to play with though.
