If it was any other club it'd be north of £80m, but we have history of under selling our assets. I'd like to think the player is happy with where he is too given he's already been to Liverpool, and we get him tied down to a longer contract.

I can't help but feel that since he made his intentions known, Saints fans have started looking at him in a much more negative way. He was excellent last year, and has had another decent season this year. His work rate is outstanding, and he is a leader with a great attitude. His passing can be a bit slack, and his shooting is poor, but for what we need him to do he is fantastic. I think he does a lot of the dirty stuff that doesn't get recognised, but in our system, he is a great asset to us. Seems our fans are now focusing on his negatives, rather than his positives. Personally I'm a big fan, and losing him is a blow to us, but I completely understand his endeavor to move on to a new challenge. You also forget he's still only 24. I don't know whether he's already hit his ceiling with Saints, as he's got another 3/4 years until he hits his prime years, but I guess there is only one way to tell. Not sure he's suited to a "possession" team though necessarily. On Winks, I wouldn't bother, think he's bang average, and not sure he's suited to playing in a two in centre midfield, especially given we basically play with 4 forwards.

The way they play should suit us, playing out from the back. Wonder if they'll go full on 2010 Stoke like Bompey did. Would love to get a win to finish off a very successful season, despite a dreadful first third of it...! Same team (why change), but would be good if we can get a few of the youngens off the bench for this one.

Gone from being a squad player and didn't know which position he played, to now being a completely integral part of the side. Developed that streak which we know he needed to add to his game. Top player, and one we need to tie down to a long contract.

Very jazzy, bit of fun, dont have to buy it...!

Back to the first team please. Only one for me is possibly Hojbjerg in for Romeu, simply becuase he's a better player. McCarthy; KWP Bednarek Stephens Bertrand; Hojbjerg JWP; Amrstrong Redmond; Ings Adams 0-2 thankyou and goodnight

Players you would sign from relegated teams....

Ignoring the fact that the majority of the ones below are probably out our pricerange, and that we don't really buy players from other prem sides... Bompey: Ake, Brooks, possibly Lerma and King Norwich: Buendia, Godfrey, Aarons, Lewis, wouldn't bother with Cantwell, comes across as a right dick, and overrated for me. VIlla: Grealish, McGinn -
Mentioned in an interview with Ralph here: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/12029069/ralph-hasenhuttl-southampton-boss-fears-best-players-could-leave-this-summer Didn't realise his contract was up at the end of next season, would absolutely try and tie him down to another few years. The guy is a class act, and Leicester game apart, he's been great this season IMO. Since the break, he's been excellent, and a really important player in our system.

Anyone received the email telling us how to access BTTV for free?

McCarthy KWP Stephens Bednarek Bertrand Smallbone JWP Romeu Redmond Obafemi Ings Armstrong has looked tired n the last few so maybe give Smallbone a start, and Obafemi maybe deserves a start after Monday. Wouldn;t be surprised to see the same team start though. Don't see any point in changing the back 4.
-
Could be a really good signing this guy. Looks like he can play with the ball on the floor too. If we manage to get rid of Vestergaard for anything above £12m, and get this guy in, I think it's good business.
-
I like McGinn, but we don't play 3 in midfield. If he joined, he'd likely be competition for Armstrong or Redmond on either side of the 4-2-2-2.

Expecting us to lose, but fully expecting us to be well in this game. My concern is just how clinical they are, and they now have threat all over the pitch which they haven't really had for some time. We'll press are harry them though, and we might be able to give ourselves something to hole on to. COYS!
-
Wouldn't surprise me. He's a very good player on his day, and Pep was a big fan at Munich.
-
yeah - we did, the Arsenal 3-2. Think other clubs have only done it, because their shirt sponsors or kit manufacturers have a deal until June 30th, so have to have a new one, thats why Bournemouth are using new kits anyway.
-
Something along these lines for the away please...
-
I'd just assumed the yellow was the away kit when I first saw it....I think they're all pretty nice tbf.
-
Contract up July 2022 - time for a new deal? Deserves it I think.
-
Is that since the Leicester game?
-
Would absolutely keep the same team as long as they're all fit - no reason to change it. Only question is whether Pierre is fit, but given how well Romeu has played in the last 2, I'd probably start Romeu anyway.
-
Will surely just stay at Brentford if they go up, they are on fire at the moment, and a real chance of nicking that final auto promotion spot. Good player though, and definitely the type of signing we should be making if they don't go up. I'd quite like us to have a look at Saïd Benrahma too...!
-
Reminds me of when we had Clyne. Still a bit raw, but more than good enough to play for us, and would be a position that we need to improve sorted. I hope we sign him.
-
He probably is in this current market. I'm not quite sure why, but he's criminally underrated from some of our fans. Does an excellent job for us.

Registration of Charge: MacQuarie Bank vs MSD Holdings

Surely the Echo / Club will have to release some kind of statement on this?
