1. It's a crap song 2. Seems to be about 4 words with a repetitive tune. 3. It's nothing to do with Southampton People sung it at Fulham and everyone was ignoring them and trying to start other songs, same thing happened at Sheff Utd. I do agree we don't have a huge amount of songs at the moment, but we have enough IMO. We rarely sing many of them, normally just sing OWTS.

What's your best saints XI using players since our PL return
Saint Garrett replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
For me... -----------Forster Clyne Alderweireld VVD Shaw ------Morgan Wanyama Mane-----Lallana------Tadic -------------Pelle Very tough on Lovren, Bertrand, Davis, J-Rod and Lambert. The team above would have a great chance of finishing top 6 IMO. Probably wouldn't be far off top 4, but as we know they would have never played together, so kind of irrelevant. -
Yup, And also would be nice if not every song was about Pompey, it's boring. And if we don't have some fans that just drown out all others with crap songs like Dock of the Bay, like at Sheffield United, that would be nice.

They play decent football, without being a particularly good side. Think they'll pass round our midfield and they'll take their chances. After a very poor performance vs Bournemouth, and one we should have got a result out of this weekend, we need a big performance from them on Sunday. Would be tempted to stick McCarthy in as he's a better keeper. Valery to come in if Ralph/Cedric can't settle their differences. If we could just put this settled team out for a few weeks on the trott with no weird decisions (LB at RB, RB @ LB, CM @ LB, CB @ RB etc etc) Assuming Djenepo is still injured, would have him off the bench for this one anyway, and to be brought on for Boufal probably in one of the more attacking positions.
-
Left him at home for a rest.

Will Smallbone played a lot in pre season, so Ralph was clearly having a look at him. We also have Slattery who can play there on the odd occasion and Stephens / Danso if desperate. Problem is the massive drop off in quality rom Hojbjerg, Romeu, and JWP to the likes of Slattery/Danso/Stephens/Smallbone. We could probably cope for the odd game, but if Romeu or Hojbjerg got injured for a few months it would be a real concern.

---------------Gunn Cedric Bednarek Yoshida Bertrand --------------Romeu------------- -------JWP-----------Hojbjerg----- ------Boufal--Ings---Redmond

Seemed to be no trouble at all last night apart from this? Good news if true.
-
Not a brilliant RB, but fair play to him, goal very well taken last night.
-
We normally go to the london road brew house, it's pretty decent for sports.
-
Agree - clearly not good enough to play at full back, gets completely lost out there... At CB, who knows...he certainly seems to have the attributes to be a really good CB for us, but for us to be able to judge him, he needs to play 4/5 games in that position. Let be honest, he's bloody good for a 20 year old CB. Will certainly be interesting to see what happens with him this season. We're going to really kill his confidence playing him out of position.

McCarthy Cedric Yoshida Bednarek Bertrand PEH Romeu JWP Boufal Adams Ings First things first - play Bertrand

TBF, could be worse. Wolves, Leicester, Everton and Arsenal are all possibly points IMO. Wolves have been awful this season so far, Leicester are very good but we're at home, Everton are poor, Arsenal are flakey at times. Predicting 6 points from those 7 games, which wouldn't be awful.
-
Always seems to impress on loan, but for whatever reason, he either wants to stay, we want him to stay, or we want too much money for him to leave permanently.
-
Let's be honest, we should roll these over comfortably, but we all know how derbys can pop up some odd results...as long as our players don't buckle under the atmosphere, the result should only go one way. I'd expect something along the lines of the below...certainly seem to have loads of options now. McCarthy Valery Bednarek Yoshida Danso JWP Hojbjerg Romeu Djenepo Adams Boufal (Redmond if fit) Doesn't include Gunn, Cedric, Vestergaard, Stephens, Bertrand, Redmond, Slattery, Armstrong, Ings, Obafemi, Long....
-
That'll be fun for those that aren't going back to Southampton!
-
Think they're in the medias eye because they're attacking players are very good on paper (and cost a load of money!) Lanzini (£m?), Anderson (£40m), Haller (£45m), Fornals (£30m), Yarmolenko (£20m). They also put themselves in the medias eye quite a lot anyway. However they're still not great defensively, their midfield isn't great and they struggle. Don't think they have a chance of breaking into the top 6 if I'm honest. Leicester got the best chance IMO.

Can't be as bad as those chaps at the back on Saturday who just killed the atmosphere by singing cr4p songs that no-one had any interest in getting involved with. The amount of times that others were trying to get other songs going, and just got drowned out by the "dock of the bay". Thought it was a bit of a shame as the atmosphere could and should have been excellent Saturday.

TBF, Boufal has got 2 assists so far this season, that equates to ca 15 assists over the season. Thats enough to match Hazard / De Bruyne over the last few seasons. Long may it continue! ~!
-
Can't see the top top teams going in for him, because he gives the ball away too much, but hes a great player for us.
-
RIP - thanks for your efforts - we may not have had a club without you.
-
He’ll get two. Mark my words.
-
With Djenepo and Danso out, I'd expect to see Bertrand back in i na 4222 Gunn Cedric Bednarek Vestergaard Bertrand Hojbjerg Romeu JWP Boufal Adams Ings

Wouldn't be surprised if it makes its way down to STH.
