How does he get in the Argentina squad?! Mad
-
23 players I believe + youth.
-
At least they haven't sold tickets before moving this one...! Moved from Semi Final weekend to Thursday 19th April.
-
Thought we had more like 23,000/24,000 STH's?

Sunday 3pm

Pretty weak isn't it, certainly think we have a better team. Should be able to score atleaast one, more about whether we can keep it tight at the other end. I'm going 1-2 Saints.
-
Yeah still shows on the OS as having 23...would be very odd to send them back given the fact we always sell out there....?!
-
Stephens, despite being a very likeable chap, just isnt good enough to be playing Premier League football yet.

Yeah - flare lobbed from their fans, and hit one of their own fans. Stewards then went to find the bloke who lobbed it and a few scuffles between them and their fans. We walked back into the centre after the game and didn't see any trouble whatsoever - barely saw any people it was like a ghost town! -
This is when it becomes a problem when you go to games using other peoples ST's all season...!

Hughes Hyperthetical Summer Transfer Window
Saint Garrett replied to Dan Johnson's topic in The Saints
We certainly need a dominant CB to play alongside Hoedt. And if Bertrand goes, we need another LB. and we need to sort out what we're doing in the striker positions. I don't expect everyone to go, but can certainly see a few being replaced. McCarthy Cedric NEW Hoedt NEW Hojbjerg Lemina NEW Boufal NEW NEW -
Completely agree, 1 up front can be more attacking than 2 up front if you get players playing in the right spaces - look at how we played under Pochettino. Just helped we had Lambert, Lallana and J Rod all on fire and they linked brilliantly. We were incredibly poor in that first half, second much better. I think I'd prefer Boufal to be given a free role behind Gabbi, with Redmond & Tadic/JWP either side.

Literally never even gave it a thought. They play Thursday surely it doesn't matter whether they play Sunday or Monday...?!

Been moved back to Sunday 2:15 from Monday 8pm... Annoying having already got tickets...busy on the Sunday https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-03-16/arsenal-southampton-fixture-moved-to-sunday-premier-league

Has been obvious too how unfit the players are too....

Yeah remember there being a bit of trouble, went to a strange chain pub by the canal last time, with a barmaid with superb....eyes. [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Buzzing for this now, sold loads of tickets, new ground for a lot of fans, and feels like we've lost a cloud of negativity with Pellegrino gone. Players will want to impress and put in a performance after last weeks shambles. Assuming Gabbiadini gets a boost, I'd be tempted to start him over Carrillo...get some players around him though. Is that not more because the national side produced a lot of very good players at the same time, which he didn't have to coach/keep fit? I think he's a very likeable bloke, and I think he is a really good pundit, but nothing in his managerial career would suggest to be he's a particularly good manager, certainly not in the Premier League.
-
But appointing Puel & Pellegrino was?
-
Bilic? No idea why. He doesn't know how to defend, and he turned his West Ham side into the un-fittest and tactically inept team in the league...!
-
Would you be happy / not happy? I think he'd give the players a kick up the arse, and could potentially do a decent job with the right recruitment in the summer assuming we stay up. Plays decent football, and is a "winner". I'd be relatively happy... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/03/13/mark-hughes-favourite-southampton-job-aftermauricio-pellegrino/

Got no problem with Hughes, given the position we are in. I don't think there are many better options out there, that would come to us right now.
-
Updated after the weekend. West Ham being dragged into it with some difficult fixtures coming. If we can go there and get a win in a few weeks, then will put the pressure on them big time...! We look doomed, but with a new manager coming in, it hopefully will give us a boost. Newcastle looking largely safe now. WBA look doomed.
