He's been pretty brilliant at the jobs he's had so far, he plays on the front foot, and decent football. Would be a decent step up for him if Forest don't go down, but he might want to stay there and have another go next season.

We were at our best recruitment wise, when we were buying first choice players and improving the first XI with the current players moving to backups. The likes of Wanyama, Davis, Jrod, Clyne, Lovren, Osvaldo, Alderweireld, Mane, Tadic, VVD, KWP. We're at our worse recruitment wise, when we sign squad filler. It's about time we start buying players that are a step up from what we have. Whether we can afford them or not, is another issue, but I can't imagine we can't afford any players who are better than what we have. I can't imagine that those listed above were "cheap" at the time. Maybe other teams scouting has just improved a lot, and we're now not the first to find these kind of players.

I’d still be pretty happy with him being here this season, but changes are definitely needed. If he does stick about, it will be interesting to see what we do in the summer, and we need to hit the ground running next season. A bad start and it’s all a waste of time.

Yup that was my logic too. Got decent pedigree, out of work, plays similar style. It's more dependant on whether we could bring him to Saints.

Us playing 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 or 3-4-3 whatever you want to call it, IMO will just encourage Salah / Mane / Diaz to get in behind our full backs. Lets be honest, we're going to have to be incredibly lucky and play very well to stand a chance of nicking anything. I can't believe we went into that game Saturday on the front foot. gIven our fixtures, and the mess we're in, why did we not play to keep it tight for first 70 mins just try and grind out a result. Why did Romeu and Adams get dropped? Why did A Armstrong play when he is absolutely dreadful? Why is Bednarek still being picked when the bloke has proved for about 5 years, he's nowhere near good enough for this league. So many questions, but we just give terrible goals away over and over again.

Leeds and Burnley losing this weekend has given us some breathing space. But what an absolutely shitshow the end of the season has been. Newcastle and Everton likely to now finish above us, and probably we'll finish 17th.

My gut feeling was the “you don’t know what you’re doing” chant was started because they put up on the screen we were taking Adam Armstrong off for Romeu. And needed a goal. Stuart Armstrong who was having g a shocking game, was actually brought off which was fine. Romeu should have started, but thought the chances were undeserved.

Personally would take or leave Broja. Wouldn’t be too upset if he didn’t join us. if he can make the most of his talent though, we might be able to flog him for double what we pay in a few years. Not sure he’s got the desire atm to make the most of his talent though…

He'd be a decent squad addition, and cheap, and a left footer. Not sure whether he can play in one of the "tens" though. We don't have much competition with Walcott, Moi, Stuey, Redmond, Djenepo, Tella.

I'd take Schlupp and Elneny too.
