Was definitely a pen, and was definitely 2 yellows. Not sure anyone can argue that. Can't elbow someone in this day and age.

Yup - I've already renewed, but more of the days out and the away ticket priority than the enjoyment that I'm getting at the moment. But also for routine. If my life can fit a ST in, then I'm more than happy to be a STH.

He's a quality player playing in a shit team with no protection, and a shocking CB partner. Imagine him alongside Fonte/VVD/Toby behind Morgan and Wanyama...absolute rock.

He's been pretty brilliant at the jobs he's had so far, he plays on the front foot, and decent football. Would be a decent step up for him if Forest don't go down, but he might want to stay there and have another go next season.

A slightly narrower central "stripe", and black trim between the red and white, and I think it would look pretty smart. Lets see. I assume it won't be launched for a while anyway. Though they're barely ever kept secret these days

We were at our best recruitment wise, when we were buying first choice players and improving the first XI with the current players moving to backups. The likes of Wanyama, Davis, Jrod, Clyne, Lovren, Osvaldo, Alderweireld, Mane, Tadic, VVD, KWP. We're at our worse recruitment wise, when we sign squad filler. It's about time we start buying players that are a step up from what we have. Whether we can afford them or not, is another issue, but I can't imagine we can't afford any players who are better than what we have. I can't imagine that those listed above were "cheap" at the time. Maybe other teams scouting has just improved a lot, and we're now not the first to find these kind of players.

I’d still be pretty happy with him being here this season, but changes are definitely needed. If he does stick about, it will be interesting to see what we do in the summer, and we need to hit the ground running next season. A bad start and it’s all a waste of time.

Yup that was my logic too. Got decent pedigree, out of work, plays similar style. It's more dependant on whether we could bring him to Saints.

Us playing 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 or 3-4-3 whatever you want to call it, IMO will just encourage Salah / Mane / Diaz to get in behind our full backs. Lets be honest, we're going to have to be incredibly lucky and play very well to stand a chance of nicking anything. I've no idea who I'd play because there's only about 2 or 3 of them that deserve to be on the pitch. You know its desperate when you're picking Stephens. Probably go a bit rogue - something like...

He was offered reduced terms to be 2nd choice keeper. He thinks he deserves to be no 1. If we hadn't signed Macca last summer, then I'm almost certain he would have been the one that was offered to stay, and they'd have let Macca go.
